USA, Canada / What Airline do you take to Poland from Chicago? [105]

Haven't you embarrassed yourself enough for one day ?
1. You have never been to the U.S. nor Chicago O'Hare.
2. You were clueless today about who could and who could not enter the airport lounges in the U.S. as you were quoted
3. You have limited flying experience
4, All your information came from googling your information
5. You now want to confuse the issue with a status lounge when you were clearly talking about the pay $30 one.
delph, give it up, you have been proven wrong and will just have to live with it unless you choose to live in denial.
You were wrong about the lounges and you were wrong calling me a liar.
How about being a man and giving me an apology and admitting you were wrong ?
It's o.k. to be wrong delpg, that is how you learn and today I was your teacher.

50 for the better ones

I think the one in terminal 5 was $35 the last time I was there.

USA, Canada / What Airline do you take to Poland from Chicago? [105]

I must remember to try using the BA lounge in T5 in Heathrow next time

When was your first time ?

they were only offering access to the crappy lounges that you can enter by paying $30 on the door,
I must remember try using the BA lounge in T5 in Heathrow next time with my Miles and More card from LOT.

Why would you do that when you already stated that they only offered access for $30.
I am sure they would laugh you out of the airport.
I hear you stuttering delph.

nice to see Johnny repeatedly prove that he has no idea about how lounges work in airports.

Well you just proved that you sure the hell repeatedly proved that you don't now didn't ya. (as Johnny does a palm plant on his forehead) sigh......

You really are utterly hilarious.

So are you, I saw the bumper sticker on your car and said to myself, "That's Harry alright."
It read, I'm not saying I am Batman, I'm just saying that no one has ever seen me and Batman in the same room at the same time."

Thank you Adrian as I hate to be called a liar by a liar.
Sorry to make you eat crow delph so next time spend a little more time googling before you pretend to be an authority on all subjects.

These airport lounge passes can be used by ANY TRAVELLER regardless of airline or class of service delph.
The only rule that I am aware of is that you have to use these passes in the terminal that you are departing from.
WoW.......70 damn posts driving everyone nuts to get that through your thick Scottish head.... so for the love of Mary PLEASE don't pull a delph and double down this time. lol

It really helps if one has even a basic understanding of flying before attempting to lie about it.

Oh delph........back to your old same ole same ole of making me defend myself while you try to insult and mock me while calling me a liar.

You should have learnt by now son.

The Air France-KLM lounge isn't accessible for people flying with LOT, as AF-KLM belong to SkyTeam and LOT belongs to Star Alliance.

The hell you say !
Sounds convincing for someone who doesn't know better Mr. Inexperienced International Traveler and Expert on American airports.

it's very obvious by Johnny's claim that LOT passengers can use the AF-KLM lounge that he simply googled which lounge was closest to the gate that he thinks LOT use.

No, that is what you have done Mr. Google Expert to look like you know what you are talking about as an authority on everything.

I have flown out of terminal 5 at O'Hare several times and have ten times the sky miles you will ever have in your life time.

In fact just two trips to Jamaica and back is more sky miles then you have recorded in your lifetime.
Stop with your boasting and intimidation delph because you are only making yourself look like a fool as a very inexperienced flyer.
You have no idea what you are talking about making such claims by never stepping foot on American soil more less Chicago O'Hare.
jon, maybe you could explain to delph gently in a PM that he didn't spend enough time googling this so not to embarrass himself any further.

Got the day off to torment us today do you ?

they will soon be wanting to argue about anything that Americans are an authority on.

What did I tell you. lol

The Air France-KLM lounge isn't accessible for people flying with LOT

Show me where I said it did in creating your fantasy of smoke and mirrors to spin your lie.
If you have no credible information to post on this thread since you have never flown out of Chicago or been to America please refrain from arguing just to argue.

they were only offering access to the crappy lounges that you can enter by paying $30 ............ even if you were flying Business with them.

And which lounges would those be delph ?

... And no there was no charge if you are flying business class.

Have you ever been to America delph ?

Americans always use the word terminal.

We have tried to explain that to them every which way but Sunday but as you can see, they just want to argue.

It seems rather childish taking it to this level.

Take a look at the mentality of the two people that took it to this level and hang on, it ain't over yet, as they will soon be wanting to argue about anything that Americans are an authority on.

One issue with LOT is their lounge access at O'Hare - unless it's changed recently, they were only offering access to the crappy lounges that you can enter by paying $30 even if you were flying Business with them.

LOT does not have their own lounge at O'Hare delph.
The closest lounge to Gate M7 where LOT departs from is the Air France - KLM lounge.
And no there was no charge if you are flying business class.
You must have googled an unofficial website to get such wrong information to prove your point..
The last time I flew out of terminal 5 at O'Hare the lounge by Gate M7 for Poland cost $35 for admission.
It wasn't crappy as it had champagne and cute massage therapists.
That wasn't recently as I now use JFK which is much more convenient and it also has direct flights to Poland.

How recently have you been in O'Hare delph ? lol
One nice thing about flying LOT from ORD to WAW is that you depart at 9:30 p.m. and arrive in Warsaw at 1:30 p.m.
It is a 9 hour flight non-stop.
Sleep all the way there and then try to adjust to the jet lag.
Remember back in the 70's (before delph was born) when Apple Tours & Key Tours flew out of O'Hare non-stop to Jamaica for $99 round trip.

Then in the 80's when delph was still a school boy in Scotland the price went up to $149 then $199.
We would fly down so often (eight to ten times a year) that we just left our extra cloths and snorkeling gear down there.

You are exactly right TheOther.
Splitting hairs for the sake of argument as I already posted back in post #18.

Harry and delph however are not savvy to American terminology and enjoy bullying people

Again Harry, we are talking about O'Hare LOT terminal and LOT website in the U.S.A. but I know how you like to argue that the flower was pink and not rose.

Get three of them ganged up on one and it is their entertainment to bully or has Harry puts it, "to get under your skin."

Only they are authorities on Poland so why try and post any questions or contribute when all they are going to do is abuse you.

So I have come to the conclusion to feed them the same dish that they serve.
Notice that I was the first response to the OP and within the next few post they had the thread off topic and into a childish argument over nonsense as usual.

Like delph said, "the Administrator likes this place to be in chaos" to let it keep happening.
I guess the bickering and banter is what sells newspapers.

If anyone actually called it that...

They knew which terminal I was talking about when I called the airport, Joker knows which terminal the LOT terminal is, Adrian knows which terminal it is, I know which one it is, LOT website here in the U.S calls it the LOT terminal so good luck pretending that no one calls it that.

Of course all of US have flown in and out of there many times so I guess "we" should know and not some Eurps that have never set foot in the building more than once or not at all.

It's just the terminal they've been allocated at the moment,

That would make it their terminal then for the moment or moments or days or weeks or...

USA, Canada / What Airline do you take to Poland from Chicago? [105]

There is no 'LOT terminal".

Sure there is, it's the one LOT uses. :-)

Very few have a dedicated terminal for one airline

Now that is possible, maybe Delta in Atlanta.

USA, Canada / What Airline do you take to Poland from Chicago? [105]

we're aware of how the word 'terminal' is used.

Sure doesn't sound like it.

here is the Polish airlines website referring to the LOT Terminal.

Again Harry, we are talking about O'Hare LOT terminal and LOT website in the U.S.A. but I know how you like to argue that the flower was pink and not rose.

So, it's clearly not the LOT terminal,

Sure it is silly.
Then why does O'Hare refer to it as the LOT terminal and why does LOT's website refer to it as their terminal ??????
Again and again and again, you are ignorant to our terminology and just want to argue.

USA, Canada / What Airline do you take to Poland from Chicago? [105]

Harry and delph however are not savvy to American terminology and not understanding that 'we' knew EXACTLY what 'we Americans' were talking about very clearly.

Maybe this will help you Eurps get it.
I just called O'Hare and the call went like this......

O'Hare> thank you for calling Chicago's O'Hare, how may I direct your call ?
Johnny Reb> Would you be kind enough to connect me with the LOT Terminal please
O'Hare> one moment please
Johnny Reb> sigh
O'Hare> This is the LOT terminal, how may I be of help ?
Johnny Reb> Just a quick question or two, does LOT always use this terminal ?
O'Hare> Yes they do, that would be terminal 5.
Johnny Reb> And which gate do they use ?
O'Hare> That would be gate M7 sir.
Johnny Reb> Thank you mam, you have been a tremendous help.

So my Eurp friends, that is the terminology American's use.
I hope you get it this time around so we don't have to listen to you repeat yourselves.
Oh, and here is the Polish airlines website referring to the LOT Terminal.
airport-ohare.com/airlines/lot-polish-airlines
See how LOT refers it to their terminal !
Since you don't live here to understand our lingo, debate your hearts out on how laughable we are as we laugh back at ya.

USA, Canada / What Airline do you take to Poland from Chicago? [105]

Its just more proof of their abuse and bullying on this forum!

That is because they are ignorant to American terminology.
Take Atlanta's airport......it has five "Concourses" that we commonly call terminals.
Someone from Europe would not be indoctrinated to such terminology.
In Atlanta the Concourses are A-B-C-D-E which are all connected by an underground tram.
If you were to ask ANYONE (American) in that airport where "terminal" D was they would know you were talking about "Concourse" D.
The Eurps are not savvy to our lingo as much as I am not when Roz pops off with Brit terminologies that I have never heard before.

I had a horrible time trying to explain to an Auzzie on here one time that I could walk into an automotive parts store and ask for a timing chain or a timing belt and I would be handed the same part for the year and model of car that I gave them.

Harry and delph however are not savvy to American terminology and enjoy bullying people like they did above by splitting hairs not understanding that 'we' knew EXACTLY what 'we Americans' were talking about very clearly.

Or as we say here down south, "C-ya'll".

Turkish Airlines is the cheapest at about $550.
For an extra $100 or so you can fly LOT non-stop.
In fact I think LOT is the only airlines that does a non-stop from ORD for about $675.

UK, Ireland / Polish lorry driver arrested for smuggling 9 million cigarettes [64]

Coming to Poland soon.

NYC where the same cigs retail at 15 a pack

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio has signed legislation raising the minimum price for a pack of cigarettes to $13 in New York City.
Health Department officials say the hike from $10.50 will make the city the most expensive place to buy cigarettes in the country.
The $13-a-pack cost includes taxes.
The law goes into effect on June 1.

UK, Ireland / Polish lorry driver arrested for smuggling 9 million cigarettes [64]

The high price and the restrictions on smoking in the UK has reduced the number of smokers dramatically.

I think one out of three people smoke tobacco in Poland.

If cigs were 30PLN in PL,

That is about what they are in the U.S.
How much does a pack cost in Poland right now ?

If he hadn't been caught, society would have lost out on millions.

Worse yet.........
Polish firms are left some PLN 31 million/EUR 7.3m out of pocket every day because of staff bunking off for cigarette breaks.

It is about neo-Marxist ideology that after taking over a culture

That is exactly what it is and that is why Trump is so hated is because he refuses to play into the Liberal Left Marxist P.C. destruction of America.

Excellent post by the way Ironside.
If it is politically correct to be called a Caucasian then why is it not p.c. to be called a N egro ?
You is what you is.

On the other hand, using the term 'Bambo'

Exactly Z and that Bambo is geographically racist as someone where I live saying "porch m******".
Those terms become offensive fighting words and should only be used in private among the same race.
