I understand where you coming from but you are looking at this from a wrong angle. Do you realize that you complaining about people trying to do you a favor and talk to you in your own language? Admittedly it wasn't at all what you have been expecting but tough, you gain some you lose some.

On the other side of the coin those people based their reaction on their limited experience, and that experience is telling them that 19 out of 20 Anglophones either doesn't speak their language at all or know few phrases poorly. Hence they are not wasting time listening to you botching that royalty and let you know that you can speak in your own language while asking for chips or cigarettes.

They never realized that you are an exception and you are fluent or nearly fluent in that lingo or they you would rather talk in their language cause you want to learn. Instead of blushing you should communicate to them your intent - and now you are holding a grudge and throwing chips and spilling vinegar all over helpful strangers like poor moi!

Hence English on this forum should be clear, informative and to the point. Other than that one needs to remember that people are writing here in the way they talk. English of this forum is more oft than not a conversation in a form of a written post.

His English is overtly stylized. He reminds me of a craftsman who know his trade well but he is not an artisan he claims to be. Whose works are being testimony to the fact that coping masterpieces cannot turn a copycat into a master by any stretch of imagination.

It all would be charming and harmless if at the same time he wouldn't usurping himself position of a judge of the English language usage and standards, perhaps he misses his job as a lecturer.

Thank you Lyzko that is very kind of you. I have been looking for a word that would combine many 'qualities' and the word thickheadedness doesn't give a justice to what I have in mind.

How would you call someone with an abhorrent attitude combined with inferiority complex, stubbornness and lack of manners? Furthermore that someone is convinced that he is a very well mannered and helpful soul with good intensions.

Calling that someone a certain part of the human anatomy seems to be convening my intent quite well.
However I'm always willing to learn and if you could come up with an appropriate equivalent I'm sure it would came handy.

In Britain you could have be jailed if they have caught involved in homosexual acts in the 70'. Maybe they didn't implement that law in 70' but few decades or even a decade earlier it was a very real possibility for gays to be jailed.

In Poland homosexuality was never persecuted by the law. Nobody cared , until these damned activist came together with their twisted ideology. Still nobody really cares.

Let me put it this way Ktos, for you are fairly new here, you have no room to complain, right now everybody has a chance speak his or her mind and every voice is treated equally, moderating got better, if you disagree with somebody and if they are wrong that is their right and their choice, should they be censored?
