News / Presidential elections 2020 - your opinions about campaign, candidates [2222]

Don't expect any logic from them :-) They are desperate and are shooting blind in false hope that some of that cr*p will stick.

The only real and constructive political opposition to PiS in Poland is Konfederacja. The program of the rest of the "political opposition" is as simple as their minds: to remove PiS from power and then we'll think what's next. If by some miracle they would win they would wake up with a d*cks in their hands ;-)

@delphiandomine

You're funny, like I would have to hide my political sympaties, if anything I'm proud of it. I'm putting a loud and clear label on myself so you don't have to look for it, heh.

I'm a right-wing nationalist when it comes to cultivating Polish culture and opposing destructive multi-kulti and LGBT movements. And I'm a capitalist - who believe that money has nationality - when it comes to economy. Is this clear enough for you? Cause if you still don't understand then maybe I can draw you a picture? :-)

PiS in not radical enough for me on the ideological front and too much socialist when it comes to economy. Yet, when compared to the other political parties, PiS is still second best option after Konfederacja. And Duda is firmly a second best candidate after Krzysztof Bosak. Which says a lot about quality of the "opposition". So if you're thinking that I'm going to attack PiS from POKO positions you are more naive than I though.

Konfereacja has the youngest voters and grows as a political movement at a steady pace. It's not our time yet but soon we will make bigger impact on Polish politics. I say "we" because I identify with the movement and also done my fair share to make it grow.

Perhaps it would be best to actually watch it before passing comment.

I don't waste my time watching garbage on TVP, TVN and other clunky propaganda channels. I'd rather look at the bigger picture.

You seem to be very preoccupied with their body language. You may hate them but you're playing their game and under their own rules. They've got you right where they wanted you - and the others - to be :-)

@delphiandomine

As hard as it may be for you to comprehend I've got my own opinions and I'm not shy to use my own brain. It seems that the old theory of POKO supporters being simple lemmings is not a myth :-)

Then why was Morawiecki displaying such discomfort?

I don't know that since I don't watch TV except some offcuts on social media. Just a simple fact that such a meeting took place was enough for me to connect the dots.

Unfortunately it's not a new phenomenon.

Nice find, @Torq but I doubt you'll reach them since that's not how their thinking goes. @pawian and especially @delphiandomine believe in simple philosophy "Kali ukrasc krowa: dobrze. Kalemu ukrasc krowa: zle" ;-)

It's different with Bosak

I'm not counting on him to win the upcoming elections. K.Bosak is an incebreaker. His mission is to get Konfederacja more exposure in the mainstream media and to normalize National Movement in a public opinion. He is an eloquent and cool headed debater and that's what matters the most.

we have teachers, engineers or tradesmen among our MPs

Let's take a look at our previous presidents:

Andrzej Duda is a doctor of law.

Previous president, Bronislaw Komorowski is a historian.

Lech Kaczynski was also a lawyer.

Aleksander Kwasniewski studied economy but he never finished it and doesn't have any diploma. His education was a recurring joke back then and yet he won.

Lech "Bolek" Walesa finished trade school and doesn't even have matura.

So far it seems that presidents from PiS are/were the best educated ones in Polish politics.

Politics saves his life, without politics he's nothing.

With some exceptions, ie. entrepreneurs and millionares like Marek Jakubiak, most of the MEP's in a parliament are professional politicians. Which is not a bad thing since they can dedicate their life to politics.

Yes, I would like them to be more entrepreneurial and more wealthy before they enter politics so they would understand how the economy works and also be less prone to corruption. Yet, we've got what we've got and we need to build up from here.

one in which employers are free to use the labour, services and materials that they wish in order to achieve their aims.

Sure, you can use all the labour which is legally available on the market. You can also delegate your work to be done outside of the country. You can also compete with other employers by raising wages and offering a better work environment.

The definition of free market says nothing about irregulated immigration from a third world though :-)

Bosak is a communist who believes that the State is more important than the individual.

Bosak is a nationalist who believes that a long-term well being of Polish nation is more important than some short-term gains.

The free market talk is just a facade, really.

I think yu don't know what free market is: a free market is global exchange of goods and services and it has nothing to do with importing countless numbers of cheap workforce into the country.

"In economics, a free market is a system in which the prices for goods and services are self-regulated by the open market and by consumers"

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_market

Just face it, your wet multi-kulti dream will never materialize in Poland. Poland has learned from mistakes made by the West.

which is surely at odds with your "I love the free market" stance.

And you would be mistaken.

He is a national-capitalist and his overlook on economy is from a Polish perspective. I also believe that capitalism is a tool that should benefit Polish people first and foremost and should not be used as a tool of importing countless numbers of foreign workers in order to grow the economy.

And there are also other ways to do so: increasing productiveness, automation etc. which may be initially more expensive than importing cheap workforce from third world countries but in will pay off in the long term.

That's a short-sighted policy which Germany applied in 60's and 70's with their Turkish workers and now it is going to bite them in the ass since young Turks are being politically steered from Ankara.

That issue won't go away, especially given the large fiscal transfers from Silesia to poorer parts of Poland.

Well, since you're Scottish you must know that quite well from your own neighbourhood. Fiscal transfers between different parts of the UK didn't break Britain, right? You're unionist so answer it wisely :-)

That said there other regions in Poland that donated Silesia for decades, and especially during PRL era.

But I think she is glad I am occupied with it at home, instead of looking for fun outside

At your age 'fun outside' stands for mushroom picking :-) I bet she wouldn't mind that.

News / A better Polish solution: aiding refugees in their home region [29]

Turkey lets refugees exit towards Europe. Turkey's communications chief said the country had not received enough support in hosting millions of Syrian refugees.

That means Germany didn't bribed Turkey on time. Are "refugees" willkommen again?

A new take on his biography was published in Poland last year. It's a very interesting read

And even if Poles wouldn`t need Serbs

Miloslaw is right; when it comes to politics a Serbian voice is presently non existent in Poland. It is not that Poland wouldn't like to listen, it's just that Serbia doesn't have much to communicate to the ouside world, and to Poland, these days. And if it does, it doesn't get through to us.

Kashubi, Silesiani, Gorali, Kursenieki, Luzichani, Lemkosi, Oledrzi, Mazuri

Each of those groups, Silesians included, indentifies as Poles first and formemost. And Luzichani, Lemkosi, Oledrzi, Mazuri are extincted as separate groups. Being Polish is just attractive enough so that there're no fuel for any significant autonomy movememnts .

Even a German-sponsored "Silesian Autonomy Movement" has completely lost its momentum and dissapeared as a political organization of any importance. That was even publicly stated by its leader last year.

Such websites are of minimal influence in Poland

Have you ever wondered how a small political party, without large funds and the access to a mainstream media, as Konfederacja have entered a Polish parliament? The power of the internet, that's how. I'm just glad that I could contribute to it.

News / POKO and LGBT lobby is trying to sexualize children in Poland. Now they aim for adoption [120]

Just goes to show how irrational your arguments are.

Hate, hate hate

It's not hate but a proper name for it. I refuse to use a politically correct names such as "gay"

There are children who nowadays grow up with single parents

Then ask those children whether they would like to have both parents or just a single parent

he's spent more time defending Duda than actually talking about Bosak.

Duda is the second best candidate after K.Bosak. I don't live I a fairy land and I know that Bosak doesn't stand much chance to win this elections. Duda guarantees that the judiciary system reforms will be continued. And that's why I'm going to vote for him in a second ballot.

It's interesting to see how Spike gets more and more worried as the bad news continues to come in.

This thread is a loose conversation in english between forum member from around the world and it doesn't have any significant impact on the actual elections. I think you greatly overestimate the influence of https://polishforums.com, especially in Poland.

alexa.com/siteinfo/https://polishforums.com

I've been involved in building a conservative political websites with much actual traffic numbers in Poland and which are targetted specifically for Polish voters. And they are run by a dedicated and ideological groups of young people. That's where I could make a real impact on politics.

News / POKO and LGBT lobby is trying to sexualize children in Poland. Now they aim for adoption [120]

Are also nowadays able to have children if they so desire, thanks to medicine.

In each case there's not be a donor. In case of female homosexuals a sperm donor. In this type of "family" a child will grow up without a father figure, in most cases they won't even know their biological father. That's hardly a healthy envirnment for a child to grow up.

The things are even more complicated, and outrageous, in case of male homosexuals. A woman would have to give away her biological child so a pair of pederasts could play a "family"

Latest polls carried out by ISPOS

Those polls intended for public opinion - as opposed to polls ordered by political parties for their personal use - mostly spread propaganda. They are not intended to coomunicate a reliable information but to convince the voters to think, and vote, in a certain way.

The results vary depending on who orders the poll and in which agency.

Yet, since you trust IPSOS, take into account this information. Voters were asked the question: "which candidate run the best campaign"?

A. Duda: 43%

The rest of candidates [combined]: ~25% with Kosianiak-Kamysz leading the group with 7.2%

That's a knockout.

I think Duda is going to struggle in a debate against either KB or KK and either would be an improvement on him

We either discuss the real political situation in Poland or creating our own reality in which Kidawa-Blonska is an eloquent orator and Kosiniak-Kamysz posses a great charisma.

I think this thread became more of a self-help support group before the elections. Does anyone here truly believes that A. Duda is not going to win the upcoming presidential elections?

News / Poland's new golden age : shifting from Europe's periphery to its center [29]

@delphiandomine, Have you? Here's a text of that act: congress.gov/bill/115th-congress/senate-bill/447/text

Here's a part which violates the international law of civilized states:

"(3) in the case of heirless property, the provision of
property or compensation to assist needy Holocaust survivors, to
support Holocaust education, and for other purposes;"

Translation for less oriented in internatinal law:

In case of heirless property - which in every civilized country is owned by the state - the "compensation" [or rather extortion] will be transferred to a shady Jewish organizations such as New York's Anti-Defamation League.
