Why concern yourself about human nature that cannot be changed?

perhaps you are right. We do seem to be surrounded by idiots. Idiot is a fine egalatarian insult by the way.
The other week my son called a local publican 'an Irish c.unt'... I told him off, while trying to stop laughing when I thought of the look on this idiot's face.

Thinking about it, 'Paddy c.nut or 'mick c.nut would have been worse wouldnt it? Why is that?

Not really, definitely not normal.

lol I can assure you I am fairly normal..Anyway its not even the word Murzyn I am arguing about , it's people who when they realise that it is no longer socially acceptable to go around calling people dumb Polacks/Paddies/Nig.gers, get all upset and start whining about 'PC gorn mad'.,as though that makes them smart or something.

Just because I don't agree with people who take political correctness to the extreme doesn't mean I whine about it.

but you did whine about it, without these gradations that you are now introducing.

Why on earth are you bubbling on about traffic signals now? Diversionary tactics? do you mean the ones in London? and what does a 'six foot feminist' have to do with it? confused.com

You do realise 'murzyn' is not the equivalent of the 'n' word in English, don't you?

yes of course. You do see my point though dont you?
Stop whining about PC. At least you might think twice before trotting out that line again.

Both of you are missing my point.

and you have ignored my point totally. Yes I generally think that people that take to public forums to whine about PC, are racist idiots. Just an observation.

It's not a word that is used to define your ancestry, so who are you to declare who should and shouldnt be offended by a non self referential term?.

You even suggested a fight

I did? where was that?
Oh did you mean where I suggested you go up to a black man and call him a moor?

is that what you mean? well there wouldnt be a fight if your term was so acceptable and inoffensive would there?

honestly Kaprys, once someone starts whining about not being able to use racist terms, complaining that we are 'too PC' ...then I can see what kind of people they are.

wouild you like to be called a dumb Polack?

So I am nasty because I don't find 'murzyn' offensive?

nor specifically, just your whine about PC. Tell you what if you dont like PC you poor poor little white boy, go up to the next black man you see and say whatever you class to be suitably non PC.

Have a nice day!

I just think we are getting carried away with political correctness sometimes.

so you think it is 'getting carried away' to desist from using terms which the groups they refer to find offensive?
Yeh i have met people like you before, nasty little toerags whining that they are no longer 'allowed' to be publicly offensive. Aww the poor little things! No longer permitted to use overtly racist terms....

my heart bleeds.

ut should we censor 'Murzynek Bambo' then?

yes, it's offensive. There used to be 'little Black Sambo' in UK children's books as well, but times have changed.

History / Can anyone from Poland tell me about Auschwitz and The Ghetto? [582]

she did nonetheless have Drancy, an internement camp to the South of France,

it was a bit more than an internment camp though wasnt it? From there people were taken straight to Auschwitz. Foreign Jews first, (the ones that had sought refuge in France from Russian pogroms) and then, later, French Jews.

In fact the French police were complicit in rounding them up . More than one trainload of unaccompanied children left France for Auschwitz.

Not that the channel islands (British) were much better, just much much lower numbers.

Study / Question about studing Polish history and culture [20]

ye there is a kind of unthinking person that just bleats out the 'rules' that some teacher has told them 20 years ago. A popular one here is 'never end a sentence with a preposition'.. really? who says? This is the kind of bullshit up with which I will not put.
