Each year offers me some surprises and there is always the first time when I see some new fruit on trees which I planted long ago.

This year I eventually was lucky to see first:
apricot
mullberry
paper apple
seaberry

I am slowly running of old trees to give fruit at last. That is why I have already planted a dozen new ones this year. Amasing.

Another novelty - weapons that Poland has ordered just recently were driven by foreign crews. Hence, Abrams tanks were carrying big US flags and had desert camouflage.

I was so proud of those hills. And what happened? First, I had to weed to patch coz I couldn`t see my plants. It turned out that only 1/3 seeds worked. Then, one morning, I noticed with horror that most of the new plants were meticulously nibbled at by hares. They kept growing but are still too little to grow a nice root. And now I see I have to weed it again. Kurwa mać! czasem mam dośc.

I already purchased barbed wire and am going to use it around some valuable patches. Hares will get a surprise. They should thank Goddess we don`t live in the US - coz their skins would already be drying in the sun on sticks around my fields as a deterrent. hahahaha

Let me remind you there is still an unanswered riddle in 535.

Every year I promise myself I won`t be bothered with manual weeding and will use glifosat chemical next year. However, I still find time to weed large areas of veg beds. How long?

Check the photos - kohlrabi and onion patch - the dense greenery means unweeded area. And there are dozens of such patches to be controlled. It is madness. I got some disorder with the tendon of one of my right forearm muscles. I already had it last year and thought it was caused by my old lawn mower. But it wasn`t - I changed the mower and the problem reappeared this year.

I am afraid weed chemicals will be unavoidable in a few years` time.

People did it in the past when such cheese was hard to get in shops or it was awful so people prefered to make their own one. I remember one occassion in 1970s - our mum made such cheese and it was very easy - put sour milk in a cloth and hang it over a container to collect the dripping whey. I wonder if she was so needy for cheese or she tried to make an experiment with the milk we got from our family in the countryside.

Yes, it is a melanistic variety of our red squirrel. Extremely rare. The one above was the second see in my life.
