Yes, this is a real sporting gun (you can even tell by the price lol). But the site says one has to show a valid permit for sporting guns and ID to buy it (you can't buy it online).

You won't find it at bron.pl
- it sells "guns without permit". Those are electric replicas of real guns, for example:

It shoots with balls, not bullets ;)

You would have to get a permit for a real sporting gun. I've quoted what you would need to get it (in Polish).

Surprisingly, there are a bit over half a million guns owned by civilians in Poland.

I suspect most of them are hunting guns. At least that was the case in 2008:

So, what do you have to do to buy one of these?

For sport guns:

If you apply for a gun permit for sports purposes should be attached proof of membership in sport club or sporting association performing sport shooting, frequency of participation in competitions organized by the club and results achieved ..

The person must also submit a shooting license and patent issued by the Polish Sport Shooting Association, however, this document is not critical to the merits of the case.

Yes, it's Janusz Korczak. It's a kind of preface to his novel "King Matt the First". It comes after the title page, the preface on the page on the left and this photo of Korczak as a kid on the page on the right. This book is still standing on my bookshelf ;) (I've just realised it's 23 years old now lol)

Oh, one film by Agnieszka Holland I suppose I could also recommend - but this time for foreigners interested in Polish history (I haven't seen in "In Darkness" yet) - is "To Kill a Priest" with globally known (lol) actors: Christopher Lambert, Ed Harris, Tim Roth, Timothy Spall, Pete Postlethwaite, Joss Ackland and David Suchet. The story is based on the murder of priest Jerzy Popiełuszko by agents of the Polish communist internal intelligence agency:

It's a bread roll with champignons, onion and cheese.

You can buy it in probably every bakery or store and I personally love it - it's soft, fluffy and sweet :D Mmmm...

Actually, I see that the reactions in comments are mixed...

And I must admit I understand why... It may sound surprising but I somehow prefer the picture on the left:

Of course, the buildings should be renovated, but the place on the left looks climatic, and the one on the right looks just like any European city... It reminds me of Vienna. My impression of that city could fit in three words - clean, whitish and... boring... It's a nice city, beautiful architecture but I preffered Paris, despite it was... I don't know... more "dirty" I guess lol But interesting and alive at the same time...

Of course it depends on personal tastes but I think some compromise should be achieved to retain Kraków's atmosphere...

we as poles are eastern european. You guys are idiots, people arent just looking at the actual geographical location of the country, its the culture language and bloodline. Poles, Russians, Serbs etc. are a slavic people, its easier to just call us all eastern european.
