I tend to favour blancs de blanc, the very dry ones however yes, depth is a good thing.

I tend to buy more economical Champagne and have only had Dom Perignon a couple of times when Emirates bumped me from business to first and it was certainly memorable.

Have you tried the sparking wines from Sussex and Hampshire? More champagne than champagne and a benefit of climate change. The French o longer like them in bl8 d tastings with Champagne since they usually win.

They took the money, chose to put on the uniform and swore to obey orders, including to kill and maim innocent Ukrainians. The fewer orcs the better.

It's sad to see young men burn alive, however for every one that does, there's an innocent Ukrainian who doesn't. Better they take off the uniform, throw down the guns and get the hell away from Ukraine. Better alive than dead, however they chose to go there. It's true that most were conscripted, however they are every bit as lethal, unfortunately.

There is when you have in-laws who've had to join the Ukrainian armed forces in order to defend their homes and families and are currently risking their lives against the orcs who've come to kill them. The fewer trained orc killers there are alive the better. The orcs should go back to r*SSia, return the children they've abducted and send their leaders to The Hague for trial.

The fewer the better when they're pointing guns at people you care about, and if that means a horrible screaming agonising death, then so be it; it's what they chose when they put Putler's uniform on and invaded Ukraine.

The way he's going, they'll be a smouldering radioactive wilderness. The 'Slavic' part is an irrelevance, not least because r*SSia is quite mixed.

Delightful to hear two bits of news today. One being that Ukraine have destroyed one of r*SSia's 'best' fighter aircraft and the other is that they've sunk one of r*SSia's 'best' ships. Hopefully with heavy removal of dangerous orcs.

I've not heard it but would probably understand it in context without thinking.

I'd probably say leg it, though nash was popular a few years ago. Some people say scarper which is a bit classier. Do a runner started as London slang but has become more widely acceptable since boomers picked it up from the TV. It wouldn't offend or sound coarse. Leg it sounds cruder nd nash sounds like drug dealer talk..

Aussies say "to shoot through".

And the word "Chrzciciel", though JP2 used to stumble over that one too.

A black deer (really quite rare) has been spotted and filmed in Poland in a nature reserve at Dolina Baryczy (Barycz Valley) down in the south west.
