It's "A niech to szlag trafi" or "Niech to szlag". It comes in several versions. It is Polish and more polite version of "For fu**s sakes". It literally means "Let it get hit by a huge blow". Oddly enough many Poles spell the first word "SzlaK" wich is incorrect. I always correct them.

Off-Topic / Being a Slav: a blessing or a curse? [199]

@Ironside
Still I feel way more connected to other Slavs than to let's say Germans, Spaniards or French. I too believe that no other Western "culture group" (except Scandinavians maybe) feels the connection with others in the group.

Life / Are foreigners welcome in Poland? [267]

All these crimes have risen since their subhuman party took over

You mean crimes detection skyrocketed.

The only subhuman party till today were PZPR and more recently Po with their trash contracts, rising retirement age making sold people work till death and basically no social help for people that lived under the line.

"Skarbek"(aka "Skarbnik") is also a mythological ghost/spirit living in Silesian coal mines. It's a Silesian version of "Karzełek". A spirit guardian of treasure in Polish mythology. :)

skarbka

is a declensed form of "skarbek" (Genitive). Never call your gf "Skarbka" as it was in Nominative.

UK, Ireland / Why are Polish people, especially women, so disrespectful toward the English? [437]

but honestly england is horrible, it's completly disgusting, kids scream on the roads, hang out at night (13+) and their parents don't give 2 ***** cause they know those kids are gonna grow up like them; benefits all life.

That is exactly England outside of London. In small towns the English live like gypsies. Obscure houses, filth, booze and pot. When I lived in Northamptonshire i had at least 3 marijuana dealers in 500 meter radius.

Back on topic please

Life / When will SMOKING BE BANNED? (from public areas in Poland) [44]

Polish govt came out with new legislation and now all cigarette packs have to show pictures of people harmed (sometimes seriously) by smoking tobacco. According to Marsupial it's all about making people smoke even more!

Work / South African wants to move to Poland, please provide some input? [59]

whites

Since black is a racial slur then white is one too.

Reminds me about a joke I recently heard.

Two guys chatting.
1. Wanna hear a joke?
2. Sure.
1. K. A black guy and a white guy are walking down the street...
2. Stop! Why are you so racists towards the Afro-Americans?

Hilarious.

News / President Duda rules out homo marriage in Poland as banned by the constitution [172]

Poland is becoming backward, again.

It's just one of your irrelevant opinions.

ah but does 'normal' mean 'good'?

In this case yes. Heterosexuality has strong pros with breeding being one of them.

Homosexuality has no such pros and therefore is not as "good" for a country.

Life / Would getting a Polish eagle tattoo be frowned upon?? [39]

It's much like a tattoo in Germany showing a swastica or an Iron Cross.

What a stupid statement.

Paweł Fajdek. Polish Olympic medalist in hammer throw. A nazist to Lyzko.
