Why are Poles/Poland disliked by Germans?

But why do you desire to know the OP`s reasons? Isn`t the mere discussion about the topic enough for you?

I am asking because you remind me of communist propagandists years ago, they also looked for hidden reasons of any activity they considered unusual.

Why are you resorting to communist methods? Are they your favourite ones? :):)

the OP`s reasons?

The basis for motive is everything and communist propagandists rely on censoring any questioning or criticism of their message.

Communist propagandists always fear and resent having to explain themselves. Just like you are attempting to do here.

You may genuinely believe that Poles need to be passive, deferential and apologetic to Germans but your own familial reasons for doing so are invalid.

Poles owe Germans nothing and most certainly should never be seeking their approval like a German bastard child would with its Mutter. :)

Well, Poles dislike Germans because we know them better than anyone else does.

Our dislike for Germans is not based on ignorance but quite the opposite: we just know them too well to truly like them :-)

Well, Poles dislike Germans

Speak for yourself, Spike. I don't dislike Germans at all; actually, all the Germans that I met personally are very decent people. You can't judge a nation by some of their online "representatives" *coughweimarercough*

The basis for motive is everything

That`s KGB`s and Stasi`s style which you seem to have adopted. In order to infiltrate the communist societies successfully, they needed to know the motivations of their citizens to prevent anti-system events. They believed that prevention is much better than fighting the actual occurence.

Why are you following their methods?

I must say it's the same with me. German people were actually the nicest from all the foreign people I encountered.

...and there's this silly stereotype about German women being ugly. Two of the most beautiful women I ever met were German. :)

Here it's hard for me to judge but the prettiest ones I've met were usually mixed with other nations and ethnicities. They can be stunning though

@Torq
Really? Did you meet Claudia Schiffer??

Believe me, Pawian, they were both much hotter than Claudia Schiffer. :)

Because stereotypes are based on large numbers and not on exceptions :-)

I like both Poland and Germany, how about that (also like UK and Sweden).

The most luscious German dish though in my humble opinion was the very young Hildegard Knef (later "Neff" when she went to Hollyweird).
Romy Schneider and Senta Berger of course weren't too shabby either:-)
