Rich, I said were it not for Americans, Russians might have not won the war against Germany - you said: "but were it not for Russians there would be no D-Day" - sure, they wouldn't: that's why I said "Americans didn't win the II World War on their own" - I hope you understand now
That and the British Armt (together with Polish forces) liberating Denmark which the r*SSian's were racing to try to take. It was very close; Denmark almost ended up behind the iron curtain.
Rich, be reasonable. West puts different values on human life than Russia. West's goal is to win a war with minimal losses; Russia's goal is to throw a large amount of meat into the meat grinder until the meat grinder can no longer handle the capacity. Which does not diminish the Russians' sacrifices

Blimey! You at last make a sensible post!
Unfortunately you then follow your initial post with this;
Which does not diminish the Russians' sacrifices
????? The Russian sacrifices were inhuman! Yes, Russia got the job done, but the manner they did it in is not acceptable by normal humans.
West puts different values on human life than Russia.
Germany lost 4,000,000 soldiers fighting Soviets vs 10,000,000 Soviets fighting Germans.
Those numbers are close enough to be comparable. This makes your argument about how Russia doesn't care about human life weak. Neither did Germans.
If you compare the results - 4,000,000 Germans killed by the USSR vs 770,000 killed by the West - those, too, show who won WW2 - with Russia killing 85% of the total.
Those numbers are not even close.
but the manner they did it in is not acceptable by normal humans.
What would be the acceptable manner to you?
Keep in mind that the USSR lost 13,000,000 civilians.
How many did the UK? 60,000. It's a laughable number compared to the 13,000,000 on the Soviet side.
Just a reminder...Germans killed or executed 2,000,000 Russians soldiers in 1941 alone.
If you compare the results - 4,000,000 Germans killed by the USSR vs 770,000 killed by the West - those, too, show who won WW2 - with Russia killing 85% of the total.
You would be right if you used real, honest numbers, but let us assume your sources are honest, you are forgetting the difference between the soldiers killed by Russians and those killed by the West. In the West, most of the dead were highly trained specialists, submariners, pilots, and sailors. In other words, there is a difference between foot soldiers and, let's say, pilots. So it is not one for one, there is no equation between a wiped-out battalion and a submarine at the bottom of the ocean numerically, similar in numbers, but in importance, more like a thousand to one. Russians were heroic and fierce fighters, deserving all the credit, but the Western and Eastern fronts were like comparing apples and oranges
So true, both subscribed to the "Meat Grinder" doctrine just as Russia still does to this day.
I find all references to "meat grinders" disrespectful and disgusting as the term implies deliberate cruelty.
Every country does what it can to defend itself. From the pov of men who died and their families, stats don't matter. What matters is this one person who will never be coming home.
In this sense, Russia is not uniquely worse than Western "democracies". One of them lost 58,000 of its very best for nothing. Would their parents feel better if it was 580,000?
I will let PF Russians respond to your post. I doubt they will because it is so sick.
For the record...It was your country and that POS Boris along with the American POS Biden who started this war when they told Z not to sign any agreement with Putin and fight.
