So how can your confession be any sort of "kompromat" if it's made in complete anonymity?
Riiiiight. Because 100/200 years ago, people in Polish villages would travel to the church in the next village over to give their 'confession', because then they would be assured of anonymity?
It's not like they're posting under a pseudonym on a forum here, to an audience of strangers thousands of miles away. It's not complete anonymity.
In the tiny communities that made up most of Poland at any time before the 20th century, it basically meant putting yourself in a position of vulnerability before the local religious authority figure who would have a pretty good idea who you were, and you'd know that, and they'd then tell you you're a bad person and what rituals you'd need to do in order to make up for it. This is standard cult stuff to maintain the power dynamic and mental grip over the unfortunate cultists.
