Love / Looking for outsiders opinions - I met a girl online... [24]

this lady appears to be stringing you along...run as fast as you can. believe me, a woman that is interested does not act how she does.... sounds as though she is telling you a few lies...try to move on with a 'real' woman who will treat you properly

Love / The Polish girl i love has gone back to Poland . [65]

Any woman who is away from her own country will act differently to when in her native country. no one knows you in a foriegn country. besides why is it that if a woman is promiscuous she is called bad names where as a man behaving in the same way is seen as a hero...... this has always bugged me.. it is not fair

I do not think it is right to stygmatize polish women...i have heard that british women abroad are a bit loose with their morals...what is so different

UK, Ireland / Flooding in Northern England [74]

i think it going to have quite a dramatic effect on our economy. For instance, health and safety reasons people cannot go to work because there is not running water and therefore no sanitary provision... food deliveries are going to be limited so i can see supermarkets running out of stock.... i guess this could be said for any industry relying on tranportation

Life / do polish girls get pregnant while in school? [28]

amathyst

my sisters husband was unfaithful, so they split up, she had to go on benefits and rented privately...she eventually found a job, it was hard but she managed... now she is married again has had another child has her own home & is training to be a nurse.

Some young girls though do get pregnant deliberately to get housed....mind the kind of housing they get is not very desirable... each to their own i guess

Life / do polish girls get pregnant while in school? [28]

no i do not, but it is not as bad a picture as you are painting

there is nothing wrong with single mothers , i respect them for the hard job it is to bring a child up on your own especially when you get into the trap of having to choose whether to work or stay on benefits, especially when you can actually get more on benefits. if you work you loose housing benefit and council tax credits so you can be worse off....not fair

UK, Ireland / Flooding in Northern England [74]

350, 000 people without water, some will not get any for another week. must be awful, even though we have water we are being advised to boil our water before using it, as it cannot be gautanteed not to be contaminated. there have also been land slides in my area, some roads and bridges have been damaged. Hereforshire & Worcestershire

Life / do polish girls get pregnant while in school? [28]

Ok maybe it depends on which area you live in.... i guess i was thinking about people with homeless status....... I am sure that basic benefits total more than £60 per week for one adult & one child.........if i am wrong then i apologise

Life / do polish girls get pregnant while in school? [28]

maybe a room in a house with lots of other single mothers as for social welfare

Have you not missed out that you have your rent paid, council tax, you probably get child benefit and where are the CSA

Do not tell me that you are hard done by....i know of single mothers who are managing quite well...

As far as i believe single moms go to the top of the housing list, or are loaned deposits for private rental and and housing benefit pays the rent..

correct me if I am wrong

Love / How do I get my Polish girlfriend back?? [26]

engaged, she just wanted it before I go to SA,

not sure if this will help you, but my friend's boyfriend has told her that he has bought her an engagement ring. she is waiting for him to ask the big question...because he will not do this yet, she thinks he does not care enough about her to make the commitment, this is putting doubt in her mind as to whether he really does want to get married.. You say that it is man's honour etc... but it is cruel to announce you have a ring and then make your girfriend wait.... could be the answer to why she has cooled off? Take a chance go see her, propose, give her the ring......if she says no you could always sell the ring to pay for the wasted flight:))

UK, Ireland / English people attitude towards Poles? [761]

Speaking to someone that works in a supermarket where polish shop.

apparently most of the polish are rude, ignorant, scruffy and make no attempt to interact. I believe these Polish are mostly agriculture workers. I do not believe they take up housing, yet the general local consensus appears to be that the polish are disliked because they take jobs, housing and are rude.

i have always supported any european working in england, why not... but I am beginning to wonder if am in the minority that thinks this?

Life / Stereotyping in the Polish culture: Are Polish blondes really dumb? [130]

Are Polish blondes really dumb?

So we are back to the dumb blonde theory again?!:) Lets just clarify that blondes are just gorgeous anyway... they have more fun, more attention, able to manipulate the male gender to do what they wish... its not the blondes that are dumb but the people that fall under their spell

Life / Are Poles happy with their sex lives? [33]

for instance here is very normal that some girls go around with small vibrators in their purse :)

I do not know of any girls who have these in their purse.... is it the same England that I live in??? I would not agree that english speak more freely of sex.... maybe girls chat to girls, men to men... but generaly our sex lives are not discussed publicaly. However, certain tabloids print kiss and tell stories of sex, but usually involving celebrities

Love / Do Polish women date Polish men? [16]

"Do they have polar bears in Poland?"

The answer is quite logical really... if polish girls did not date polish men.. there would be no polish children... end of polish civilsation....

Poland is well populated, so I would think polish men & women must get it together!

Unless of course the question is relating to polish men and women not living in poland??

Love / Do you think letters after you have broken up work ?? [29]

write the letter by all means... the process itself will probably be helpful... but wait awhile before you send it if you send it at all

I agree, by writing the letter you will release some of your feelings. I would not send it though...try to move on... if she sees you enjoying your self she may realise what she is missing?

UK, Ireland / How expensive is living in UK/London for one person? [23]

Hi, I'm thinking about moving to UK/London for a couple of months

London is very expensive, you would be better to find somewhere just outside London and catch transport into the city.

UK, Ireland / Anybody knows how to watch Polish channels in UK? [36]

I miss Polish TV, English one is crap

Might be a good idea to get out and about more, there are plenty of other things to do other than watching 'crap' british TV :)

Love / Why do you suppose the Polish guy I'm dating refuses to speak Polish? [22]

He tells me that he really doesn't like speaking Polish;

I have also found that some guys do not like speaking their native tongue, I also wondered why? When you ask them to say something, they appear reluctant to do so... why?? Listening to someone say soomething in another language is ...good!

UK, Ireland / Polish girls 'too pretty' for British schools [150]

There is an old joke here in Canada about just that topic, "What do you call a pretty girl in England? Answer: Polish.

That is a bit harsh, there are many beautiful women in england, never heard of 'an english rose' ? Peaches & cream complexion? where else do you find women with such lovely soft skin??
