History / Who were European natives? What happened to them? Where they are? [79]

What would be your 10 travels by time machine ''

hmmm, thats a really good idea actually. I've thought about this many times before.
My top 4 anyway, would be somewhere between 1500-1600 Poland or Eastern Europe.
As well, the beginning of WW2, being in the Polish army on the western front at that time, and hmm, maybe being in the States in the frontier days. Always fascinated me. Oh, and perhaps being at the Battle of Marathon as a Greek hoplite ;)

History / Only two countries in Europe did not accept XVIIIc partitions of Poland.. [54]

Yeah and thats why they invaded us twice, from Turkey with love

You're taking the definition of like in its strictest sense... you can like and respect a country, and still invade it when the time is right. You do what is best for your own country... Name me one country in Europe, other than maybe Hungary (even though Hungary was on the axis side in WW2) who at one time or another disagreed with Polands politics, or tried invading her. If you want to be cheap, you can name off some far away western countries like Spain or Portugal.

Every country has its sets of conflicts throughout history. Christ man, stop being so naiive.

Thats chiefly because of turkish logic, they saw Poles as fervent catholics and they reasoned that even though the faith is different someone who believes so much has to be a good man thus they entrusted Poles and gave them great freedom, its a cultural thing rather than a special treatment "because we were POLES".

You're seperating religion and culture from the nature of a Pole when they are both, or at least were, his main parts. I really dont even know what you're getting at in this paragraph... You seem to agree and disagree with my previous statement at the same time.

History / Only two countries in Europe did not accept XVIIIc partitions of Poland.. [54]

Turkey did not accept partitions because it pissed off Russia, Turkey did not really care for Poland it was simply to annoy its political rival

No. Turks always respected Poland and its fighting ability, and even though you're partially right, that they we're not on friendly terms with Russia at the time, they also did it to give the Poles some of their dignity and honor back. You have to remember that the Turks we're no small power at the time either, and they backed up their words to a degree. A lot of Poles escaped to Turkey and formed their own communities, and a high ranking General, Jozef Bem even became governor of Aleppo. Countries always look after their own interests first, thats how its always been. But Turkey could have just as easily remained neutral and kept Poles out of their country.

It makes you wonder - what would have happened if Poland and Turkey allied themselves? Now that would have been a potential powerhouse.

I still think Polands greatest blunder was going to the aid of the Austrians at Vienna. Sobieski should have kept his troops away from this, and let Austria and even Germany get overrun by the Turks. The Turks would have been stretching themselves quite far after that kind of advance, and would not have likely turned their sights on Poland and Eastern Europe. At least, not for a while. Poland-Lithuania could have allied themselves with them and formed a great commonwealth of three countries.

The Austrians were so grateful that in a 100 years they would be carving up Poland for themselves. Goes to show that you should look after your own ass FIRST, always.

Love / DO POLISH GAYS ALSO DIE YOUNG? [56]

They are respect and accepted... and yes they are human. But humans can have dieseases too. In this case it is phsychological. I have never said that they should be treated badly.

Accepted as friends...family... but the treatment should be encouraged. It is nothing shameful to get a treatment for the dieseas.

Very well said, exactly my thoughts..

News / Apology to Russians for Osetia and American missile base [78]

I am truly ashamed of my puppet government and a kartofel president that is obviously out of his mind. Majority of Poles DO NOT WANT AN AMERICAN MISSLE BASE IN THEIR COUNTRY. We are also far away from judging who is responsible for a military conflict in Osetia. The current Polish government is used by Americans to destabilize our region without giving any regard to native poles that live in this country. A common Pole does not view America as a friendly nation. A common American in return cant show Poland on the map of the world. Sad part is the common citizen will later pay for its irresponsible government.

lol... don't say what a common Pole thinks or doesn't think, who are you to say. I'm sorry to break this to you, but the majority of Poles actually support the idea.

Life / First Racial Attack for me in Poland [158]

Can't sleep...

Well then Poles are pretty uncivilized if they do the whole "eye-contact" aggression thing, that's pretty primitive and brute-like. You shouldn't talk abou it so approvingly...

Well, you even admit to having seen it in New York in the inner city neighbourhoods. So what is the problem with Poland having these same neighbourhoods? There are poor areas like these in every city. Primitive and brute-like, maybe... I don't exactly approve of their actions, but at least it keeps the westerners on their guard and keeps them respecting the locals.

Hmm, whats wrong with Arabs? Where do you start? Look at whats going on in the Netherlands and Sweden. The Muslims there are demanding everything be changed for their own gain. They try to pass laws to accomodate themselves in someone elses country. They are mostly detrimental to a countries economy. Most live on welfare and do not contribute to society.

Swedes and Dutch are too scared to do anything about it, and so the influx continues, until the local population will be swept away.
I myself have met many men and women from the middle east who believe themselves superior to the people living in Europe right now, and actually admit to believing that in a few decades, they will be in the majority.

You must be joking me. You come on here, read a thread and decide it must be the brit's fault because polish are perfect?

No, but I've seen your kind of UK tourist. Denying ever instigating anything, but when push comes to shove, you wanted to show your girlfriend how big your bollox were and ended up getting knocked out. Best thing to do, for future reference, learn from the locals which areas to avoid in the evening, and when they decide on picking on you, swallow your pride and walk away. Usually don't do it myself, but it works, and handy to pick your spots.

Firstly, I saw the guy coming from across the street, while me and my girlfriend were sat on a step.

No, doesn't give them the right. Where did I say it gave them a right? These people are bums that attack tourists, but they are also bums to the locals as well. Making eye contact, and holding it makes things worse.

I've already had my face broken, thank you very much.
And no, I don't fall into that category, but I'm also intelligent enough to know how to avoid that, mostly from first hand experience (on the receiving side)

have been living here for 5 months, and have been along this street many times

Look, you seem to think Poland is some kind of saint country. "Doesn't give them the right, doesn't give them the right..." Well damn man, get used to it. Not much in this world is reasonable.

Life / First Racial Attack for me in Poland [158]

distant psuedo-pole's that come on here and moan and complain about dear old Poland from the relative comfort of your fat American ass?

lol, but friend, I'm right within Poland right now!

By asking for it, I mean that most of these ignorant tourists go traipsing down the worst parts of the city thinking themselves untouchable and then when they do get in trouble, they blame it all on the "racist" Poles. If you must know, these so called racists attack fellow Poles, YES, fellow WHITES in these same areas as well.

Furthermore, you probably made eye contact with them and tried to show your girlfriend how big your balls were. Doesn't help, trust me. I've seen many so-called tough guys like you wind up with broken faces.

it's just so dam pathetic!!

And its also the stuff that keeps Poland from getting overrun by Arabs like the rest of Europe.

Travel / The decline of Krakow due to British drunks and What to see in Krakow? [52]

I have recently returned to Krakow, and aim to stay. There are many things that have changed since then. I used to see less drunk tourists, but now I see them everywhere. Flooding the old town in miserable drunken groups, attacking our decent local girls because they think them easy, and just generally dirtying the place up with their barbaric behaviour. Arabs, Brits, Scots... most contribute really nothing other than a few pounds, euros dinars, some trashed up bars, and a few pregnant women. Well I for one am sick of it.

Already a friend of mine fought some stupid drunk Londoner and gave him a good ass kicking. I doubt he'll remember much from his pathetic trip...

Where will our beloved Krakow be in 10 years?

News / The past and future of Poland. Poland is lost. [113]

Is it not father land, although the land is feminine?

Yes, but the thing is, Poles usually call Polska their motherland, like the Russians. Fatherland is used by Germans, Austrians etc...
