You take what you can. I've made ample use of my education as a teacher. They are merely taking what is theirs to take.

You take what you can.

you sum up the mentality perfectly

take what you can, line your own nest and bollocks to everyone else

do it to someone else before they do it to you

way to go

Coming from a MD, LOL. You guys at the top tend only to be about putting as much in your pockets as you can. Me? I'm a teacher and settle for less, give to charity and claim no benefits. I was only saying that I understand the mentality of those that take benefits as not everyone can be an MD. Now who has the mentality and reality problem? I don't take from anyone else, they take from me. ZUS at 890PLN being a prime example. So, you were saying?

Thats what capitalism teaches us im afraid, thats what business is all about, anybody that says otherwise is a liar.

not everyone can be an MD.

MD my ass, anybody can be an MD.

particularly if you cannot tell right from wrong

Thats a good one, so who should we learn from? billionaire bankers, MP's taking what ever the hell expenses they can scrounge or perhaps even the advertising industry - scamming the public on a daily basis. Its a dog eat dog world mate.

I'm very much with WB on this one. Nobody will pat you on the back for much these days. What, people should live off of air, hythorn? WB, MD of wan*ery doesn't count.

I believe that the bankers have behaved very badly indeed and have been encouraged to do so
however not all company directors are unscrupulous
naturally as an MD, your mandate is to maximise shareholder value however you can still sleep well at night

I have never ripped anyone off and have always been very honest in my business dealings
it has made the road a long slog but I have a reputation for being fair and honest and this
has attracted several clients through recommendations from existing clients

on another note, large companies have a purchasing department and their job is to police
suppliers and push the prices down whilst ensuring the quality is maintained. As a result
fly-by-night, rip off suppliers generally cannot work with blue chip clients. So honesty really is the best
policy in my industry

I believe that Steve Jobs was a reasonably decent human being, so was Anita Roddick, as is Bill Gates and Richard Branson

clearly for every Anita Roddick there are a hundred Monty Burns

I am aware of the economic situation however I do not believe that it gives people the excuse to travel to another
country (or stay at home for that matter) and rob the country blind

I believe that Steve Jobs was a reasonably decent human being, so was Anita Roddick, as is Bill Gates and Richard Branson

All those maybe with the exception of Branson had great ideas coupled with perfect timing, a totally different prospect than the norm.

Branson came from money, his autobiography attempts to paint an entirely different story, he also made a killing illegally exporting. Branson is a ruthless business man make no mistake but he had many things right. He is a greedy resource squanderer, cant stand the guy persoanlly.

I have never ripped anyone off and have always been very honest in my business dealings

You never told a little white lie when a big deal was on the table?

So honesty really is the best policy in my industry

what is your industry exactly? i know its property but what sector? which country?

Branson came from money, his autobiography attempts to paint an entirely different story

I did not get that impression when I read it
He was a public schoolboy but was not really the Monty Burns type
Egotistic swine hell bent on killing himself in a balloon

You never told a little white lie when a big deal was on the table?

in my line of work that would be difficult. I work in precision tooling, so it is difficult to tell porkies
particularly when sitting in a room full of tool makers who have forgotten more about tooling than
I am ever likely to know. With tooling, the tool either works or it doesn't so no amount of spin or
scullduggery can help you. I admit that if someone was working in PR, media or advertising sales
then the temptation to tell whoppers would be much greater.

Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of people in tooling who lie their heads off, but they
usually get caught

I worked in property but got out just as the market tanked. I was lucky.

EDIT
I remember that Branson had some scam where he was importing records from Belgium
or exporting them or something and he was caught by the police.
so out of the four of them, he is the least moral I agree

I did not get that impression when I read it

Thats the thing he talks about setting up in a basement in a London town house with his mother bringing in sandwhiches because they couldnt afford food, but the point is his parents were loaded. The financial backing was there.... Like most self made millionaires they found a niche coupled with a great idea and the desire to succeed. It is just a game and some people play that game more effectively than others. The old 'anyone can be rich' is a complete crock of shite really. Most just simply dont possess the capacity.

I worked in property but got out just as the market tanked. I was lucky.

Right i checked your profile and saw property but that was actually your interest not profession so i made a mistake there. I can imagine it wouldnt be that easy to con a deal in your actual industry.

Frankly I despise the corporate world and everything it stands for. Too many money hungry scumbags in the world, it IS all about the money these days.

my dear Sir, it goes on believe me

the scams that go on in tooling are legendary

I could provide you with a tool that would fly through a trial but flash (leak like a sieve) the moment you took delivery of it

needless to say I would not, but there are many tooling agents out there that would do it without a second thought

Only last week one of my clients went to Taiwan to pay a flying visit on a toolmaker only to find out that all their tools were

somewhere in mainland China. The toolmaker had subcontracted them without telling the client.

Might I enquire what line of business you are in?

EDIT

in order to steer this back onto topic
I still believe that dole scamming is naughty irrespective of nationality, creed, race, zodiac sign
and I believe that it is doubly naughty if you are going to an overseas country with a view to bleeding them dry

Might I enquire what line of business you are in?

I'm a visual engineer, aka window cleaner. Been known to design sandwhiches aka Subway, but also a bit of hygiene management/supervisor, aka bog cleaner.

seriously dont talk to me about business, you aint gonna get anything positive.

I still believe that dole scamming is naughty irrespective of nationality, creed, race, zodiac sign

so society bases education on the pursuit of financial wealth, but social benefit fraud is looked down upon? thats a stigma which the media ram down our throats. Its fair game IMO. In any case were not talking about dole scamming specifically, its people using a benefit system because they are better off on the dole.

I believe that it is doubly naughty if you are going to an overseas country with a view to bleeding them dry

Steady on and thats hardly the case anyway.

Youre a victim of youre enviroment wether you like it or not, and as such have views associated with that.

,uk is a multicultural society now and far richer for it.

Multicultural ? Yes.

Richer for it ? It's not a simple "yes" or "no" answer.

Maybe for Guardian readers that live in the nicer parts of the country and don't feel invaded it is a "far richer" place with a few foreigners.

Controlled immigration is fine, be we don't have that in the UK.

and do our best to recognise lies and propaganda and to meet everyone on a human, non prejudiced level.
Rise above it.

I think so as well - all of us would benefit if we put the same effort in making friends that we put in trying to prove who is better than others.

True, true, true :) But maybe it's better this way - it help us understand each other better... It also makes us know how to hurt each other - because no matter what we are more similar than different

Merged: The UK is no longer a country to serve the British people

We are now simply a Infrastructure & Cash cow for foreigners to come and exploit. I don't blame them, and neither should you.

Blame the politicians that have sold us out.

The Poles are USELESS as immigrants for us. They serve no purpose for our nation, and don't bring any economical benefit.

Don't believe the "hardworking pole" bullshit.

They work low-paying jobs, but they claim every benefit package possible to negate most of the tax. Not to mention the BILLIONS they take out of our economy every year, by sending money home. They don't spend money like we do on British services and British food. They shop exclusively at their Poland-Import shops, they pay for POLSAT in their homes, and they house share with about 10 other people, to save on rental costs.

Then theres the small factor of the 370,000 Migrants on Unemployment benefit. Jesus Christ.

They have become experts in Claiming in the UK. I believe more so than the Brits LOL. They have Polish-Language websites, with more information than the official government sites!!

benefity.org.uk
benefity-uk.co.uk
benefityipodatki.co.uk

Type "Benefity" into the premier Polish UK community forums (mojawyspa.co.uk/forum) and you get thousands and thousands of relating posts.

They even register EHIC cards so when back home in Poland, and they fall ill, they can claim FREE healthcare from the UK Taxpayer!!!! You couldn't make this up really.

Having a child is a big decision for any normal British person, with finance and relationship to factor into the decision.
To the foreigners it's just a method of earning a few extra pounds a week, plus our free NHS makes it more of an excuse - Better get the Family started in the UK, than at home... where they'd have t pay medical fees.

It seems having babies in our country, is rather lucrative.

Births in England and Wales by parents' country of birth, 2010

A quarter of births (25.1%) in 2010 were to mothers born outside the UK
The total fertility rates have risen to 1.88 for UK born women and 2.45 for non-UK born women
Poland became the most common country of origin for non-UK born mothers
Pakistan remains the most common country of origin for non-UK born fathers

Don't be too harsh on our Polish and Romanian. and our fellow European Compatriots .. Turkey joins the EU soon, and no doubt many of the 70 million already have their suitcases packed. Exciting Stuff!

oh ffs, not all this bs again. Are you sure you're not noimmi?

A Polish woman can realistically only produce around one child per year.

How many children do you think the aforementioned South Asian gentlemen can create annually, especially if they have several wives and a few mistresses on the side? Yet all you do is go on about Poles! I'm surprised that you haven't started talking about "the Polish question" tbh. (rolleyes).

There are ten thousand illegal British immigrants in my country. They are all armed. I want them gone!

Turkey joins the EU soon

That has been put on the backburner due to the economic meltdown some EU states face.

Thankfully.

But a part of me would actually LIKE Turkey to join the EU now.

It would be the knockout blow. The straw that breaks the camels back. The kick in the bollix the EU needs to finish it off.

Then theres the small factor of the 370,000 Migrants on Unemployment benefit

Your figures are wrong. Thats just EU citizens.

The Poles are USELESS as immigrants for us. They serve no purpose for our nation, and don't bring any economical benefit.

Immigrants, unless highly skilled, are of no economical benefit to a country. Extremely beneficial to employers and slum landlords, mind.

Hire immigrants to push down wages and conditions. Rent some of your "property portfolio" to them too.

Use the clowns on the far left, to call for open borders.

Its a great scam. It really is.

Last time you claimed exactly the opposite: "Current wage levels have no relevance to the fact that the economy is growing."

Please explain how that is 'opposite'?

Tell that to the 500 million Indian workers who make 2 dollars a day.

Tell that to the lucky employer who gets all that cheap labour
