Old Polish consular passport to renew - live in the UK

Hello, can anyone help? I live in UK, and have a Polish consular passport issued in 1978 that I want to renew. I also have an up-to-date UK passport, but I feel would be good to have a valid Polish passport as well now, since Brexit has made things more complicated for travel to EU. Does anyone know how to go about this? Is the consulate open for business normally, even though we are in lockdown? Is it still impossible to get hold of them by phone or email, as used to be the case? What documents would I need to show them? I was born in UK, and was married in UK. I would love to get some advice. Please help! :) I would love to be able to travel to Poland next year and see relatives whom I have not seen for many years.

This thread has some info.

This explains the documents you will need, how to arrange an appointment, how to collect the passport and what to do if you don't have all the documents they want: gov.pl/web/wielkabrytania/paszport-dla-osoby-doroslej

This is where you apply online:
