Merged: Wroclaw - night clubs, are people friendly, do they speak English?

Hiya

I have been to Poland 15 times already but am going to go a new city... Wroclaw! does anyone know any decent nightclubs to go? are the people friendly? as I have been other cities and people have been really nice except Krakow where they aint very friendly anymore compared to when I first started going 4 years ago. All other cities I have been Polish could speak really good english, do most people speak good english in Wroclaw? should I start learning my polish again?

Thanks

Hi

When in Wroclaw don't forget exploring Hala Stulecia (Continental Hall) area.

Enjoy

PS. In case you will need a city guide try there: biuro@wrota.wroclaw.pl

PS2. A bit of warning: if you use airport give yourself a lot of time to get there, because of road works getting there can take even between 1-2 hours.

it's still the Hala Ludowa to me.

small correction: Centennial Hall

for visitors: it's in a big park, which includes the Japanese Garden, a rather special fountain and a very good monument/statue of Chopin.

A pick up and a put down :)

People from Wrocław tend to be happier than here. There is more of a buzz but I guess it's just the big city atmosphere.

imagegroup, your pics look really good reminds me bit like krakow and Poznan.

Guess I better start learning my polish again ha ha I only have few days to do it aswell. But most Polish people appreciate English trying to learn a little bit of their language as its very hard for us too understand, sometimes I can understand what they are saying but worried about speaking back to them as I might get it wrong and usually do!

Does anyone know of any gyms I can go whilst there? as am staying in apartment and they dont have one and I go gym everyday.

Thanks for your help

Merged: Where to visit in Poland on our way from Berlin to Prague?

Hi, thanks in advance to all of your advice. We are 3 men from USA in our mid 20's traveling from Berlin and want to stop in Poland on our way to Prague for 1-2 days. Which city on the western side of Poland should we visit that will make it easy to continue on our way down to Prague? Wroclaw? We will be out there 3rd week in Sept so our travels are coming up and need to make some plans.

We are looking for great nightlife as we won't have much time to sightsee so please recommend the best place to have a good time if we can only spend 1-2 nights in the city. Please also suggest any specific clubs/bars as well as any fantastic places for food.

Are any of these places actually good/fun? ilovepoland.co.uk/nightlife_in_wroclaw.htm

Thanks, we can't wait!

Merged: Wroclaw - what to do at night (other than going to the bars)?

So is there anything to do tonight in Wroclaw, other than go to the bars?

Go to the fountain site near the Centenial hall/the zoo. Music and light effects.
