Regurgitated pollen.

jon357 73 | 22653

No, it's regurgitated pollen.

Regurgitated pollen.

jon. I am sorry for asking silly questions about honey but I was certain you used some slang, like alien`s monshine. Now I know you really meant that honey.

No, it isn`t honey coz I have never bragged about keeping bees. It is my dream to keep them but when I have more time being retired.

Hint - it isn`t honey. I already said it is for drinking.

silly questions about honey

I read it as a straightforward question.

With honey, they usually have to filter out the beeswax and other bits. Very much as in the pic.

There's definitely something being filtered in that pic.

Yes, it is and it is for drinking. Are you also acquianted with a close up in post 6?

I remember that pic. Is it part of a mash for distilling? Some of the grains do look like fresh malt.

Is it part of a mash for distilling?

It is mash but of fruit origin. I was making exclusive wine - less than 5 litres. What from????
Alien 22 | 5228

What from????

Quince?
jon357 73 | 22653

I've never liked that one. Or czeremcha.

Hard to know what it is from the pics; not jarzebiny either.

Quince?

Not quince.
Yellow raspberry is the answer. :):):)

Hint - When some Poles say the incorrect name of the holiday in Polish, they show that they see double.................... :):):) As if they were drunk.......... :):):)

Nobody guessed the riddle so far.
Let me enlighten you then that the mistake is made when some Poles/Polesses wrongly name the holiday - instead of saying Three Kings Day, they say 6 Kings because the day falls on the 6th Jan. Ha!!!

There was a famous politician who got even more fame by saying the name wrongly.

It is amasing nobody was able to solve it, even native Poles. I am deeply shocked. :):):) But my riddles are seldom easy, I admit.

6 Kings

I've never heard of it.

Never mind, this forum is educational through fun, or funny through education. :):)

There is still one riddle pending about certain Christmas custom. I am giving all of you the last chance now to solve it before I do it.

Next one What can you see???

OP pawian 221 | 24284

these weeds.

They grew like weeds coz I hadn`t planted them but in fact weren`t and that`s why I collected them for future use.

I see that your wife

Stop dreaming about my wife, it is indecent. I have arranged a meeting with her for tomorrow morning. :)

Is it something obscure because I have absolutely no idea?

What can you see???

It looks like you're drying out something like cow parsley to me.

Is it something obscure because I have absolutely no idea?

No, it is a widely known and followed tradition at Christmas time.
BTW, what am I holding in the photo in post 51?

something like cow parsley to me.

Wow, indeed, it looks like it from a distance. But it isn`t, it is home made Polish dill as jon suggested rightly. I need a lot of it for my preserves. :):):)

What is this giant pot used for???

jon357 73 | 22653

cucumbers

More likely gherkins, for ogorki kiszone or malosolny.

You'd not necessarily use a big pan like that though, although it's possible to in order to sterilise them.
OP pawian 221 | 24284

cucumbers to pickles

Also baby corn and various kinds of squash.

to sterilise them.

yes, aka pasterise.

You'd not necessarily use a big pan like that

I do need big pots to contain more jars at a time. It is called a green approach. :):):)

I tend to sterilise jars in the oven.

How do you do the patisony?

Wow, never seen it in Poland. Amasing!!!

How do you do the patisony?

Like cucumbers - either marinated in vinegar solution or fermented in brine.

what am I holding in the photo in post 51?

Looks like part of a small toilet seat.

home made Polish dill as jon suggested rightly.

I wouldn't have got that. I've seen it being chopped at Polish friends' houses but dill is not a popular herb over here.

Wow, never seen it in Poland.

I think most people in the UK would sterilise jars in the oven. I'd never use a giant pot.

a small toilet seat.

Yes!!! Exactly - the seat which is regular, not small. Why am I holding it???

but dill is not a popular herb over here.

While here it is basic herb used in preservation.

I think most people in the UK would sterilise jars in the oven

As I told jon - amasing!!!!
