DEI policies in hiring means that they're going for a color coordinated look in staff rather than sheer competence.....

Was there any time it wasn't colour coordinated?

Yes, prior to the 1960's when people knew their place.

people knew their place.

First there was God, then the man, then the woman, then the children, and finally the dog. 🤔

Another Flixbus accident on the highway to Szczecin. 2 dead. I have to admit that Flixbus drivers drive very aggressively on German highways, as if they were always in a hurry. These are my personal observations.

2 dead

There were no Poles among them, but there was one German. The bus driver was a Polish woman.

Crow, tragic disco fire in North Macedonia. Is it somewhere near you, do you know anything about it?

I know. I see. Like during the Korona, collapse of regional electric net or natural disasters, people from neighboring countries flee to Serbia to receive help. From Northern Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, Romania. Only civilized country neighbor to Serbia is Hungary. Only Hungarians can care of themselves at least in primary moments of need.

Hospitals in Serbia are full with patients from Macedonia. Civilian and military medical institutions are sent to Macedonia. Military transport planes taking patients from Macedonia in Serbian hospitals. As people, we here are satisfied when able to help.

All costs for patients from Northern Macedonia in Serbian hospital will pay Serbian tax payers. Highest possible care. Gladly, let me say.

Why are there always so many victims in these disasters in the Balkans?
Crow  155 | 9695
17 Mar 2025   #162
Its not reserved for the Balkans. We live in troubling times worldwide.

Its the other question that after disaster of Yugoslavia, after Vatican and Germany destroyed it, (and in it were followed by the western Europe and USA), Serbia represent only true self-sustainable and serious state. With it center of activity in the region, in sense of business, medical care, education, military, culture, state organization, etc.

tragic disco fire in North Macedonia

It's almost a carbon copy of the Colectiv nightclub fire in Bucharest 10 years ago. Corruption was the factor in that case and this one appears to be the same. Very sad.

A similar disaster occurred in Ireland in 1981. The investigation was never completed.

There was something similar in a smalltown nightclub in r*SSia. Many young people died and it looks as if the fire escapes were locked shut.

Macedonians vandalized the cafe of the owner of the burnt nightclub, who was arrested. The police did not interfere

Exactly.

But that`s Northern Macedonia for you. Tiny Slavic state, after EU destroyed Yugoslavia, given by NATO to Turkish zone of influence. Use imagination. Culture blossom.

Northern Macedonia

Why are you using the Greek-enforced name? Say simply - Macedonia.

Northern Macedonia

Known by sane people as.... Macedonia.

Exactly. Maybe Crow is now a Greek patriot and his motto is "Una faccia una razza /μια φάτσα μια ράτσα"? I never thought I would see this. Whatever next? Crow converting to Catholicism and going on a pilgrimage to Rome?

Quiet. Known as that by everyone except nationalistic Greeks who have an inferiority complex because they know in their hearts that their sewer of a country has little or nothing to do with the Greece of Sophocles, Plato and Alexander.

Greeks .... sewer of a country

Why you gotta hate like that? Greece has a terrible, terrible political culture but I very much like being there. The Aegean (Greek Islands/Turkish Coast) is one of my favorite spots on earth.

IIRC an absolute majority of modern Greeks are actually hellenized Albanians... which explains a lot....

but I very much like being there

Me too, though I've only been to Athens and the nearest islands. Greeks annoy me sometimes though.

hellenized Albanians

Yep, that. Around Istanbul too there are many thousands with those roots. The places they live tend to be duller than the places they don't.

If people in Northern Macedonia accepted name of country Northern Macedonia, who are we to complain.

Quiet. Known as that by everyone except nationalistic Greeks

Exactly. Maybe Crow

What?

Go try to change name of Poland into Northern Poland or Hungary into Southern Hungary or Serbia into Western Serbia,...etc, and you would see massive rebellions. In Macedonia people aren`t quite Macedonians. Slavs there are mostly Serbians and Bulgarians, while 30% of populace are Shiftars (as Albanians call themselves).

Like Ukraine, where most of populace are Russians, Serbians, Poles and Ruthenians.

Any more questions?

They started to stone the house of the mayor who offered to resign, but the Orthodox priest stopped them.

He resigned immediately.

"In these most difficult moments for our country and for me personally, I announce that I am submitting my irrevocable resignation from the position of mayor of the municipality of Kočani. This loss is huge! There are no words that can describe the pain we all feel. Those children were our children. I knew most of them, I knew their families, and I was family friends with some of them. The shock and brokenness I feel will last my whole life. This tragedy has enveloped the people of Kočani and Macedonians in darkness." - Ljupčo Papazov

What a tragedy. Especially for such a small place. Kočani has 28,000 inhabitants and 59 young people aged 14 to 25 have already died. Terrible
