Ukraine though never thought herself isolated from Mother Russia, merely analogous to almost tenant farmers or vassals simply living on their lord's fiefdom.

Excellent. Now please, do Sweden :-)

Let's make the Baltic Sea - NATO's Mare Nostrum.

Swedish gov:

Today is a historic day. The parliaments of all NATO member states have now voted in favour of Swedish accession to NATO. Sweden stands ready to shoulder its responsibility for Euro-Atlantic security.

Let's make the Baltic Sea - NATO's Mare Nostrum.

Finland and Sweden in NATO are Putin's nightmare . By invading Ukraine, Putin wanted to divide European countries and put Scandinavia to the test. However, he underestimated the cooperation of European countries in the face of a common enemy and instead of weakening Europe, he ultimately strengthened us, which will have huge and negative repercussions for the future of Russia and its imperialist plans.

Amasing!!!

Another US dependent... Euros are not capable of shame.
All these azholes can do is be brave under American skirts but never enough to say no to Muslim scum.

Hey, morons, what do you think the US would do after this email from the Kremlin:

We are going to drop 10k nukes on London and Stockholm as a warning. Please stay the fvck away. Our ICBMs are cocked and ready.

Here are the choices:

1. The US would launch an all-out nuclear attack on Russia and cease to exist in the next 30 minutes.
2. Please don't. Let's talk.
3. Go ahead but let us evacuate US personnel in the next 72 hours. Thanks for the warning.
4. How can we assist?

Another US dependent.

Don't for a second underestimate Swedish firepower.....

You vastly overestimate the US in your posts.
Europe could protect itself against Russia without the US, but the US will always come to help as it is in their interests.

You vastly overestimate the US in your posts.

The US is powerless against lesser enemies. Those are historical facts, not speculations.
The reasons are many, none of them having anything to do with our military hardware. That is world-class. We just don't have well-defined objectives and the balls.

Nation-building is a lousy objective.

@Novichok
Not powerless, just wastes ressources due to larger scale operations and logistics. While guerrilla soldiers use scavenged fuel/ammo of low quality and ambush tactics and play the long game.

If you have a U.S.A standard of spending 5 000 000 $ for every single military operation. One only needs a few rifles for 200$ each. Make some noise and pull back to win economically

When A attacks B, A usually wants something from B. The US does it often and never expects anything tangible from B.

This is madness. See Kuwait.

Megalomania combined with a messiah complex is purely an American mental disorder.

In that sense, Hitler was saner and Putin is a genius.

For his war, Putin got D and L. For the war with Iraq, the US got...

Go ahead and tell me what we got for chasing Iraqis out of Kuwait, Mr. Sense...

...back to the US wars...

What did we get from Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Iraq, Afghanistan, and now Ukraine for killing millions, bringing home 100,000 body bags, and adding 8 trillion bucks to the national debt?

In comparison, the USSR and now Russia are pure genius and symbols of peaceful coexistence...Before your heads explode...How many foreign bases do China or Russia have to be secure?

When a celebrity hires bodyguards she pays them with money, blow jobs, or something...

What do we get from protecting Europe from an imaginary enemy besides lessons on the evil of guns...

Now, but you didn't have it then.

Specifics or STFU.

Specifics

If you have any idea about your country's foreign policy, you should know what has fueled (in the literal sense of the word) American interest in the Middle East for so many years.

If you have any idea about your country's foreign policy,

My lovely "democratically elected" government has no idea about my country's foreign policy because it does not exist.

Is keeping borders open to the world's worst garbage released from South American prisons a policy - or insanity?

What an idiot...

Well, Hungary finally gave Sweden the green light to join NATO! Took 'em long enough.
At least Kristersson's gov't. backs Ukraine.

Without NATO, Sweden feared for its very existence day and night and that's why the ruling mob decided to open the floodgates to migrants.

That poison pill in the form of black Somali scum has been very effective against Russian invasion so I am not sure how NATO added to Sweden's sense of security.

Hey, Alien, Is keeping borders open to the world's worst garbage released from South American prisons a policy or insanity?

Children, this is how you know you won - when the enemy has no answer, responds with hahahahaha, or wth "no, it is not".

An even more contentious issue is whether nor not neighboring Finland ought to be allowed in to NATO's ranks! Considering
her strained and problematic relationship with Russia, probably her vote will be rejected.

The surest way to start WW3 is to corner a guy with nukes, call him names, rattle his cage, and run to Mommy when he kicks you on the balls.

I love Polish metaphors...

Why did you assume that my #83 is in response to any specific post?

I only answer questions AFTER a poster states his position - clearly and without ambiguities - and only if I see this symbol: ?.

Probably, maybe, and perhaps are weasel words.

Here is an example of a weasel-free sentence: I want NATO dead and all foreign Muslims deported from Western Europe.

My position is simply that Sweden has historically always been a solid
international citizen and therefore deserves membership! About Finland,
once again, I'd be most interested in the opinion(s) of my fellow posters
including yourself!
Novichok  5 | 8514
27 Feb 2024   #89
and therefore deserves membership!

Membership in NATO is not a reward for good behavior. The only consideration should be if the next country serves the US defenses well.

The answer: Not a single one!

We don't need Europe to stay safe. Europe is that irresponsible moron that can get us AIDS.
Mr Grunwald  33 | 2138

The only consideration should be if the next country serves the US defenses well.

That is ridiculous

U.S.A aims to be as self suficient as possible militarily, I would be surprised if any NATO partner is included in any military plans of defence of american soil.

But yeah, your point of view is that America is 95% of the globe so. You only need 5% to help you out rught? LMAO
