US to deploy Patriot missiles to Poland

Things escalate when people let them. History has shown us all that.
What would I have done? Well, I wouldn't have let things escalate, that's for sure.
But, it's all in the past and pointless to conjecture about stuff no one can change. Besides, why do that when you can party in the now, instead?

what would you have done?

WB, that was not a fair question to ask of her. It was a complicated matter screwed up by other countries. The cast was formed.. There was no stopping it. A Lot of countries failed to intervene

Its a fair question alright, the Poles love to blame England for not stopping Germany in their tracks.

I ask any member who thinks they had a solution to that problem come forward with their ideas.

You mention history therefore it would be advantageous to discuss and not repeat.

We will dance to the Polka until the morning sun.

What, are trying to start a war?!

It's England, France and the US for reasons unknown. No sense in rehashing it since you can't go back and alter it.

There will always be a blame game. Look at how America is criticized for intervening in KOREA, VIETNAM. IRAQ.
At least back then I was under the impression that there was a pact from France and the UK to help Poland, in the event of an attack

IRAQ.

Iraq's dubious. Some people say it's the US invading a country without proper provocation while others swear it's necessary to prevent what we were talking about, the escalation of a serious situation. Damned if you do, damned if you don't, looks like.

HB, I would like to feel that I am as patriotic as the next guy. But we were lied to by our leaders. I ask myself, Why are all of these young men and women dying in a country that hates us.

We should pull every American soldier from foreign soil and put them on the border with Mexico.

Yep, good point.. and it's cheaper if you "don't".

Still don't know what our govt is going to do about the situation in Mexico...Talk about letting things escalate!!! Bush wasn't going to touch that one! (we might be going off topic)

That is no big deal.. We are pretty well keeping this an American thing, other than WB.
Yes Mexico is a big problem. Actually , It is the drug cartel. The ordinary Mexican is not so much to blame, as long as they become legal.. They are hard working people.. I think that given a chance, that they would integrate very well into our society. Unlike our other minorities.

without the US meddling in WWI for example, there wouldn't had been WWII..

das glaube ich nicht, es waere trotzdem dazu gekommen.

This is a good idea. Plus the GI's would be spending money here helping those local economies. Win-Win.

American businessmen want the Mexican here because it's cheap labor and they have no rights whatsoever.

Who knows, by now, we are probably one of the minorities. I don't know if US has minorities so much anymore or full fledged multiculturism with the patchwork quilt metaphor. As for Mexicans, there's so many where I live I see them everyday, interact with them all the time. In fact, 50% of the pop. here is Mexican. lol.

I agree.. regardless of what American did in WW1.. Things would end up the same

we were lied to by our leaders

An often repeated untruth. Nearly every smart mind in the world thought there were WMDs in Iraq. Bush just took that and ran with it.

50% of the pop. here is Mexican

I feel for you. But they are better than, umm... another, much lazier and more criminally inclined minority group.

I don't think it's worse here than other places in the US. In fact, it's one of the few places in the US that isn't in recession.

Maybe this is because you have Mexicans and not the other system suckers?

US to deploy Patriot missiles to Poland

its ugly, quite ugly, i can tell you that

let USA instal Patriots in Albania or in any other non-Slavic country and then let those countries provoce Russia. Its ugly that Slavs fight each others because of interests of non-Slavs

Long live Polish-Russian understandings!

An often repeated untruth.

Not really an untruth in the UK though:

No Randal, people openly contested the fact that there were WMDs in Iraq, in fact many openly stated that US wants to seize Iraqi oil, Bush as president does not run on gossip and heresay, he has access to the best information and alitics out there, he knew there were no WMDs, it was all about oil and militarizing USA.

US wants to seize Iraqi oil

Oh, give it a rest, man. Other kooks claim Bush did it for personal wealth. So where's all this oil and money?

Bush did it

Bush did it because he was pissed about 9/11 which is a lame excuse.

This is still going on? Obama canceled those plans in coercing with Russia upon it. He claims that there's no need for it. Besides, I doubt Bush cared that much about Poland's safety, he just wanted to be "Mr. Big Military Man" and put yet another U.S. base on foreign soil like the so the many useless dozens he already built during his administration.

However indeed, I am all forth for Poland building a nuclear/missile defense system. It's obvious that the Kremlin wants the opportunity to attack Poland if the circumstance comes, and to not feel the lack in potential by having inferior weaponry. As far as the excuse goes that it might be dangerous for Poland to have such defense, it's a defense system, not an attack system. I have studied enough on these systems through the news to know that like anyone with simple commonsense (not at the Kremlin) would know.

when that starts happening then some progress in live of nearly all Slavs will get going in better diection.... they are the two biggest populated Slavic Christian nations so its quite important

The missiles will ultimately be controlled by the US president who publicly stated he was born on the planet Krypton, not in a manger (infowars). I'd feel safer under Monty Python. Keep taking the tablets, Obama.
