The leaving PiS gov is creating another, the 6th division, in the army. It is going to be on paper only coz there are already huge vacancies in the existing 5 divisions. To make up for them, PIS counts the civilians working for the army as soldiers. AmaSSing liars!

PiS gangsters want to have a pretext to accuse the future gov of negligence when they aren`t able to make it.
Fekk PIS azholes and their dirty games with the army.

After top Polish leaders` visit to the US for the 25th anniversary of NATO accession, new purchase plans have been announced. 1700 missiles and nearly 100 Apache choppers.. Amasing!!

Among the missiles, 800 long range JASSMs.

tass.com/world/1759077

MOSCOW, March 13. /TASS/. Poland is set to buy JASSM air-to-ground missiles from the US that have the potential to reach targets inside Russia, former Polish Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief General Miroslaw Rozanski said in an interview with the news website Gazeta.pl.

"I see the greatest added value in JASSM missile systems with extended range," he said in comments on a recent visit by Polish President Andrzej Duda and Prime Minister Donald Tusk to Washington. "Our planes stationed in Laska, if equipped with these missiles, will need to fly no further than the Vistula to strike targets inside Belarus and Russia."

PS. The Polish army already possesses a few dozen JASSMs.

This means that if Russians try to attack critical infrastructure in Poland, the Polish answer will be fast and devastating - all Russian oil facilities located 800 km from the Polish border will be taken out. Where will Russians earn their income from then?

That's right... and they'll also hit them with Apaches. 🚁

Not them but their tanks which try to capture the Suwalski strip, the shortest route from Russian Belarus to Russian Konigsberg. It won`t be Indians against cowboys clash.

nearly 100 Apache choppers.

I forgot to add:

The US will provide a loan of two billion dollars for the purchase of these combat helicopters.

Yes! Amassssing!

Joe Biden is laughing all the way to the bank, while the French and Germans are scratching their heads.

One of the poorest countries in the EU, is ready to send its last money to the richest countries, because of paranoia.

If Russia will ever attack Poland, then I will donate $1M to some NGO helping Ukrainian refugees in Poland.

I think Poland did very well inking the deal on K2 Panther.

Helping with what?

When imperial Russians vow they won`t attack Poland, it means they will. Poles and Polesses have known the lying nature of imperial Russians not for years or even decades, but centuries.

Of course Russia will attack Poland after Poland comes to aid the Baltics attacked by Russia first. It is clear as daylight.

After a series of deadly accidents during military training this month the Minister of Defense decided to halt some types of training in the Polish army. Officers agree that it's a good move - the situation should be investigated and improved:

o2.pl/informacje/sprawdzic-wyjasnic-i-do-boju-czarna-seria-wypadkow-na-szkoleniach-wojska-7010435315456992a

At the beginning of March two soldiers were ran over by a military tracked vehicle at an army test range in northwestern Poland. The accident took place at the Land Forces Training Center in Drawsko Pomorskie.

On Monday this week two soldiers from the 5th Chemical Regiment died during a training with explosives.

Yesterday a soldier from Special Forces unit NIL died during training in the Tatra Mountains.

🕯️😢

@Paulina

If you don't train, you won't be able to fight.

As Russian Generalissimo Suvorov used to say -

"What is difficult in training will become easy in a battle."

The Polish army doesn't have to train. Just call DC.

Deaths frequently happen in the USA services. Normally only local news will cover them. You are working with big dangerous machines. I recall doing a training flight with Florida Air Guard. They had an A-37B in and it was going to a range event at Strickland Bombing range. I got to fly in the extra seat.

Never forgot it. You could pull back the fabric cockpit cover and peer down onto the turbojet engine!!! Loud!!! Sounded like banshees screaming on take off.

A real Pig of a fuel eater too. The only thing on the wings were extra fuel tanks.

I know, I know... But 5 deaths in one month is rather unusual (at least by Polish army standards).

The Polish army doesn't have to train.

I'm sure Trump would disagree lol

I know. Apparently more US soldiers die in training than in combat. But in the US they also do "safety reviews" if "too many" die in a short time span:

news.usni.org/2023/08/30/marines-call-for-safety-standdown-after-5-marines-die-in-august-training-accidents

When my brother went into military this was one of the things I was afraid of most - that he will die or get maimed in one of those accidents.

The Ministry of National Defence?

They did the right thing.

Soldiers sometimes die or are seriously injured in training (my friend was badly injured and had to leave the army due to a training injury) however safety should always be paramount to reduce avoidable risks.

5 deaths in one month is rather unusual

That's a lot. Presumably they're doing some particularly intensive training due to current circumstances.

Yup.

Yes, that's a possible reason - apparently lately there have been more accidents in the US army too. Although I'd worry about the quality of instructors, etc. after 8 years of PiS rule, to be honest - PiS was messing with the army quite a lot... 🤔

I'm not too much interested in the professional army. As we know it's not the professionals but reservists who win wars :) However, my cousin, a major, has always been saying that the situation in the army was never as good as it was during PiS rule. He keeps saying that even now, with PiS already gone.

@Torq, that may depend on your cousins' political views though and/or on the fact that he got promoted and got a pay rise during PiS rule, for example :)) You really don't know what was happening with the army during PiS rule?:

Hardcore PO/Tusk supporter.

Still, he claims that PiS got the army matters right. May or may not be connected with his personal situation. I don't know, and I don't care - as I said, professional mercenaries don't win wars - we, humble reservists, do. :)

Well, yeah, exactly...

I don't know, and I don't care - as I said, professional mercenaries don't win wars - we, humble reservists, do. :)

You may start caring if one of those "products" from "Macierewicz's officers' factory" will become your commander though... :)

Actually any serious accident causes a review.
