How will Poland be affected by WW3 which has now started

If Russia invades the Baltic states, all NATO countries will be required to defend them.

If Russia invades the US, what exactly will "all NATO countries" do?

If Russia invades the US

ready to give Alaska back, coward?

That is hardly "cashing in",

Promising them military presence and selling them German military equipment is cashing in political promises, you better deliver and don't try to shift the burden onto Poland.

---

hat Poland may want to make a large effort to defend them, I

As a part of NATO and not necessarily by sending troops there.

@johnny reb
Your quote actually comes from a news article rather than the talk he gave.

That was one man's opinion jon however Britain's top Generals say different.
The suggestion by top generals that Britain may need to draft civilians in the event of war with Russia has been met with a lukewarm reception, to say the least.

What would happen to people who refuse conscription if it's introduced?

Britain's top Generals say different.

Which 'top Generals'?

Only Sir Patrick spoke.

one man's opinion

The one man in charge

Your article is about 1916. As established already, there are no plans for national service.

and selling them German military equipment

That is unrelated to the promise of stationing troops there. Germany is now selling military equipment to many European countries.

As a part of NATO and not necessarily by sending troops there.

Realistically, Ilif Poland can not be motivated to defend its' neighbour, other countries won't send additional troops either.

Germany is now selling

Yes we know you are a good german pimp, how much do you sell your daughter services, to the arabs in your post german suburb? i bet they pay top money for proper white german young ladies.

if Poland can not be motivated to defend its' neighbour

But of course Poland will defend the Baltics with both air strikes (that's what we need the F-35s for) and ground forces, which is a part of official operational plans in case of war; well, at least that part of the plans that is disclosed to the general public or deduced from various factors by experts in the field. The Baltics cannot be expected to field land forces large enough to resist the invasion, hence the necessity of Wojsko Polskie taking active part in their defense.

I so wish Germany hadn't given up on the Bundeswehr for so long....it will take time to get all up and running perfectly again, not to mention the lacking personal.

For the first time experts are thinking loudly about to allow foreigners to serve in the Bundeswehr! IMHO that is more realistic than to reinstate the draft again....

(It would be nice if Putin would wait a few years though)

Which 'top Generals'?

I don't know them on first name basis.
Maybe you could name them for us.

Your article is about 1916.

Actually my article was just written 18 hours ago stating: The suggestion by top generals that Britain may need to draft civilians in the event of war with Russia has been met with a lukewarm reception, to say the least.

You didn't read it did you.

As established already, there are no plans for national service.

You are the only one that 'established' that jon.
The suggestions by the British generals already suggested that civilians may be needed for national service.

Germany? Don't you mean Zombieland?

There are no foreigners in Zombieland!

Zombieland is for everybody!

I don't know

Indeed.

the British generals

What suggestions?

Nobody has suggested a return to national service?

Indeed.

So you don't know the names of the Britsh generals that suggested that either.
Now that is golden

What suggestions?

As I posted in post #101 above but here it is AGAIN
The suggestion by top generals that Britain may need to draft civilians in the event of war with Russia has been met with a lukewarm reception, to say the least.

I agree,
They did however suggest that there may be a need to if war broke out with Russia didn't they.
Don't fret jon, you are to old to get drafted.

Wow! Germany have Wesley Snipes - cool! It must have cost them a lot of money, but in case of war Russia's f*cked - they stand no chance against Blade. :)

I don't want to say that I told you so last week with this post but:

https://polishforums.com/off-topic/things-people-say-ireland-though-novichok-87867/2/#msg1948484

The Houthi rebels, supported and backed by Iran, who have been engaged in a series of aggressive attacks on maritime traffic, fired a missile at the USS Carney, a U.S. warship patrolling the Gulf of Aden.

The U.S. Navy confirmed that the missile was successfully intercepted, however.
This incident marks the first direct attack on a U.S. warship by the Houthi rebels since they began targeting shipping in October.
The attack on the Carney is part of a series of aggressive actions by the rebels, including the striking of a British vessel on the same day.

WW3 has started and Iran is the key player by sponsoring these terrorists groups around the world with money, intel and weapons.

Schwarztranszombiemuslimischpanzerjägerdivision

The perfect weapon against any enemy propagandists....they will faint trying to work that out! :)

WW3 has started and Iran...

I'm sure the US is watching them....the Saudis can't stand them either, btw, so the money shouldn't run out!

But a very wise DEI investment made by Zombieland!

Blade has already been behind enemy lines, speaks their language too AND is willing to protect white women walking home at night!

I wrote it and 5 minutes later even I can't work that out! :)

They didn't.

A weird sort of trolling in a thread about serious matters.

Indeed. If the British armed forces had cared about such matters in 1940, the civilised world would be driving on the wrong side of the road rather than on the left today.

To be fair, Jim, that was a very obvious one.

And to be serious, the underfunding of the armed forces over the last ten years of a right wing government is something that needs to be addressed.

They're still the best trained army in the world by far and certainly don't want to have to deal with conscripts however they do want to develop the TA and have a more substantial reserve.

The next war will probably be nuclear anyway ,; the army are most likely to be involved with food and infrastructure in that case.

What would happen to people who refuse conscription if it's introduced?

There are a lot of exemptions people can claim like age, medical conditions, certain professions and being a conscientious objector.

Thankfully gender is no longer being considered.

Would you be exempt from army conscription if the UK went to war with Russia?

Could women get drafted in the UK?

"Although it is unlikely that conscription will be enforced in the UK - it is possible that women could get drafted, too. This means that, if conscription ever becomes necessary, women will likely be drafted at the same rate as men."

metro.co.uk/2024/01/25/who-is-exempt-from-uk-conscription-20170144/

Indeed, if women have the right to vote then they should be on the front lines fighting and dying for it.

If the British armed forces had cared about such matters in 1940, the civilised world would be driving on the wrong side of the road rather than on the left today.

"If the British soldiers on the beaches of Normandy in 1944 could look forward to the end of the century and see what England has become, they would not have bothered to advance another 40 yards up the beach" - David Irving
