Polish election results are good for Poland in the first place.

An interesting analysis of the political attitudes of the Polish PM in today's RZECZPOSPOLITA.

"At some point, he stopped being interested in the economy and became interested in the political power. And since in power, it meant in the position in the party. And since in position in the party, it meant in ideology. This was the beginning of the end for Mateusz Morawiecki ..."

The article concludes that Morawiecki is now ending up as a loser ...

Morawiecki. Twarz porażki PiS.

mass foreign immigration

This new government will bring the bonus of the release of millions of Euros held by the EU due to the dispute over the rule of law , Poland accepting EU migrants will be a lucrative source of income for our border smugglers , the migrants will earn money laboring until they make enough to be smuggled cross the German border, the Border guard won't be interested so its a win win situation.

I have no problems with the change of government , it will take some years before Poland ends up as degenerate such as Germany,France and the UK.

If the government passes any laws that adversely affect me I will sell my properties here and simply move to a country that is more to my liking.

I really don't have a problem with this change especially at my age , let the young choose their path , I have enjoyed my long journey through life without regrets , I couldn't wish for more.

Peace be upon you inshallah , Enjoy the fruits of your political choices

Also to give up the rule of veto as designated by the EU so-called constitution and transform EU governance to a qualified majority to admit Ukraine and the frontier Balkan countries. Nothing that Germany wants more. Tusk will provide, like semen on a plate.

It is normal in broad coalitions.

Yes good remark. The return of the abortion compromise will be a good policy by the new government. But this will be far and few in between. As our dear neighbours Germany has shown, a broad coalition descends into vitriolic infighting, personal insults between supposed partners and public unpopularity very quickly.

From another thread:

He must first entrust the mission of forming a government to the party that won the elections.

From what I've read, he doesn't have to do that. In the first stage the Polish president can designate for the Prime Minister anyone he feels like, even some random Janusz from Psia Wólka, apparently. But that Janusz would have to be able to form a government and that government would have to be approved by the absolute majority in the Parliament.

he doesn't have to do that

I don't know if he has to, but it's obvious to me that he will. Only if the first party fails to form a government will this task be entrusted to the next party in line.

Can someone explain to me if there is any realistic scenario where PiS manage to hold on to power?

Understand, I hate PiS too, and am not asking because I am hopeful they can pull it off.

They could try forming minority gov. Doubt it would be very successful.

Understand, I hate PiS too,

No one here cares if you hate PiS or love PiS. You are a coward russian living in New York, wanking off how great russia is whilst living and making money in the country USA that your people and leader hates. Pity your Ukrainian girlfriend/wife just dumped you like a used tampon instead of stabbing you 50 times in your sleep and claiming you went mad after reading a Medvedev tweet and tried to strangle her. Btw I bet she is being a nice russian slut after breakup.

Most unlikely. They can't form a government on their own - they don't have enough of a majority. and as they've written the book on how to lose friends and alienate people, they're unlikely to be able to swing a coalition.

Warszawa - 84,92 %.
Poznań - 82,92
Kraków - 81,95
Gdańsk - 81,5
Wrocław 81,16

Wow... 👍

they've written the book on how to lose friends and alienate people

lol
That's a good one (and so true) :)

Btw, was there ever a successful minority governmentin Poland? I'm struggling to remember...

Apparently then, the PiS still managed to eek through a victory as soon as they've formed a coalition government. Somehow thought the Liberals were gaining ground.

Exactly. Good for Ukraine and bad for Russia. The new gov will continue aid for Ukrainians despite Russian objection. Also, they will terminate all conflicts with the EU which Russians counted on hoping for Poland to leave the EU. You can forget it now. Ha!

Exactly.

Yes, the only country which is still not degenerate according to your preferences is Russia. Go there and enjoy LGBT free zone. hahahahaha

Thanks. I am already doing it. I have become very relaxed in my life.

the PiS still managed to eek through a victory

No article needed and while they came in first in the election they don't have nearly enough to form a government on their own and every other party has already said they won't enter an coalition with them (while three opposition parties are in an informal alliance and have more than enough to form a government).

what if PSL and Hołownia betray the opposition and make a deal with PiS to create the gov??? :):):)

PiS is catching at a razor - they are offering the position of Prime Minister and half ministries as well as lucrative positions in state companies to PSL if the latter agree to form a coalition with PiS. They also promise to support PSL leader for president in 2025. Amassing!

Well one can say on many issues PiS and PSL are more ideologically aligned than PSL and PO.

Russia.

Hmm My family already had a stay in Siberia, I was thinking more of Portugal or Malta. as for LGBT we have many gay friends , don't forget Poland is one of only two countries that never had laws against being gay, I see more homophobia in countries who have large migrant populations who's religion tells them to burn gay people.

Both very nice, I've only been to Portugal once but it's lovely country and Portuguese people are bit more relaxed and open to outsiders than the Spanish (though I love Spain too).

Been to Malta five or six times and love it. If i had to settle there I would choose either Ghawdex (Gozo) the second island (less crowded and generally a bit more laid back) or Mellieha in the north. A lot of stairs cause it's hilly but also less crowded feeling than in the big urban area (Valletta/Birkirkara etc). Mosta would be nice as a very central location, no sea view but relatively quick to get to other places and not super crowded.

Why do you think that was the reason?

PIS accepted around 700 000 immigrants from Africa and Middle East in last 8 years. Tusk didn't. PIS scared people with immigrants and accepted them in thousands behind their backs.

Can someone explain to me if there is any realistic scenario where PiS manage to hold on to power?

The situation in general is very unpredictable, despite known election results. President Duda can veto the new coalition for the next 2 years, stall them with the constitutional court "freezer" and will be stalling the formation of the new rainbow carebear coalition's government. PiS and Morawiecki will get first shot at a "new" cabinet and won't win the vote of confidence, but those procedures take time in which the new coalition might start fighting each other before they vote on their own PM cabinet happens. The leftards especially can easily lead to an early election, and are already screeching demands (and unless this is a negotiation tactic) this means it is likely they are too stupid/detached from reality to be able to hold the line until an allied president wins elections (20 years of election failures by the left show this). PiS is probably banking on early elections or at least a comeback if they get their next president in 2 years (which would show they have hope to rule again).

OTOH PiS in opposition, without minister positions and other incentives to nicely fall into line behind Kaczyński might start fracturing. Ziobro camp is claiming they'll form a separate parliamentary club from PiS (again, this is a deja vu of their 2000s origin story), Szydło camp doesn't like Morawiecki 's people (since Morawiecki replaced Szydło as PM, in addition to ideological/background differences), who knows what Macierewicz has in his head and wants to do (schizophrenia or moscow control chip? you be the judge, though he certainly didn't sue that book author for slander regarding Russian ties...). On top of that PiS has professional leeches who also are rats that jumped sinking political ships in the past to PiS, so they might do it again.

Kaczynski is getting visibly more senile, even a longer hospitalization could be enough to trigger a free for all within PiS, since he simply is getting too old to keep discipline (and he can kick the bucket suddenly), especially now when they're out of spoils to split.

to PSL if the latter agree to form a coalition with PiS.

People, calm down. Nobody in the opposition will let PiS buy them coz next year there are local government and EU Parliament elections so entering into a coalition with PiS gangsters now would be quite a suicidal move for any opposition party.

PIS gangsters might succeed in bribing or blackmailing individual politicians (e.g, the ones who have affairs on the side) but are unable to buy dozens. It is simply impossible coz they need 37 more seats to have the ruling majority.

PIS clowns are alone on the political stage and they know about it. Serves them right!!! hahahaha

If you`re happy and you know it clap your hands!!!! Clap! Clap! hahahaha

PS. I think I will only write Clap! Clap! from now on coz the full quote is too long.

Turnout in biggest cities is higher than the national 74.38% Warszawa - 84,92 %.

Now it is time to provide major numbers of voters:

PiS - 7 million 640.000 (411.000 less than before)
Tusk party - 6 million 629.000 (1 mln 569.000 more than before)
PSL/Hołownia - 3 million 110.000

New Left 1 million 859 018 (460 928 less than before)

Konfederacja 1 million 547 364 (290 411 more)

tvn24.pl/wybory-parlamentarne-2023/wybory-parlamentarne-2023-i-2019-jak-glosowali-polacy-7395634

Wow! It means that the pro-democratic pro European pro women parties collected the votes of 11.2 MILLION voters!
While antidemocratic anti-European misogynist nationalist parties were prefered by 9.2 million voters.

There are more decent people in Poland than I thought before!!! What a relief!! Thanks to all of them.

It is really amasing but I feel a bit like in June 1989 when Solidarity and communists contended for the Parliament seats in historic semi free elections. I remember the same atmosphere of anxiety and tension before the ballot. Then, the exhiliration when it turned out Solidarity won all the seats allocated to them both in Lower and Upper House except 1. And it was all followed by suspense about what it would lead to eventually.

Let me remind you that Walęsa persuaded the communist party`s allies to break away and make an alliance with Solidarity. Thus, the pro democratic opposition got an upper hand over communists and created their own government.

Wonderful times. People kicked communists out like they have kicked bolshevik PIS out today.

Thank you, PIS, for leading to the situation when I can feel young again. It is the first and probably the last time when I am thanking you earnestly, without my usual irony, you fekking bolshevik gangsters. Go to Hell and never come back again. .

Konfederacja 1 million 547 364 (290 411 more)

I already said - bad news for Russians who hoped for a better result of the most pro Russian parliamentary party in Poland,.
7% of voters chose natio Konfederacja. Too few to dream of exerting any political influence in current conditions.

Hey, Russians, can`t you convince those Konfederacja azholes that they should give up their misogynist attitude coz they have lost mostly due to their horrible views on women`s rights???
