Just dream on

It is a beautiful dream which is going to turn into reality! Ha! The opposition takes power. PiS gangsters are taken to independent courts to account for all their crimes - minor and serious. The EU gives up punishing Poland for breaking the rule of law. Normalcy prevails in major spheres of life at last.

I'm a bit more.... sober. I'm assuming that PiS will win but hopefully not by enough to be able to form a government (who besides Konfederacja wants to work with them?)

The question is how many more will vote for them than polls indicate. We know about 10 % or more of those who vote for PiS are covert voters - they're too embarrassed to admit it publicly so you need to add 10% of anything they're polling (at least)

One poll said they're at about 31 so I assume it will be closer to 35 %....

What are other polls saying?

Yes, these are good estimates. Sunday will show.

Hołownia - a rising star in Polish politics?

Yes!

Mr Szymon Hołownia, by the decision of the democratic coalition, has become the Speaker of the New Parliament. And he has already proved that rightist gangsters will have a hard nut to crack during sessions.

Here is his ironic reply to one of die hard PiS gangsters:

"Mr. MP, I must admit honestly that these are some standards that I do not fully understand. I show you respect, I show respect for your position, I allow you to speak in accordance with the regulations, but for this I receive something that could be called an affront. If these are your standards of parliamentarism, I must say that I deeply regret it, " Szymon Hołownia, the Minister of Education, summed up the speech.

Has he? Sorry i've just tuned right out. tune out , turn off, drop out. As Prof. Timothy Leary said.

Has he?

Yes, he has. And as a former TV celebrity, he proved perfect for this role. He is a typical attention sicker in a positive sense - he is intent on doing good things to please people. Unlike Novi who is an attention sicker who achieves his goals by irritating people.

Those stiff rightists will have a big problem with Hołownia.

He looks like a nerd but certainly has enough balls to deal with PiS gangsters.

Check his address to the nation from today: He speaks clearly, fluently, like a professional actor.

They're still trying to get their marszałek voted in because they've decided to go all in for Elżbieta "Reasumpcja" Witek and won't nominate anyone else (and Witek won't be accepted by other parties).

yeah... Morawiecki's gonna be able to form a government..... somehow....

And of course Ziobro is degrading into a creature of pure malignant rage... though he still does have a sense of humor...

Hołownia - a rising star in Polish politics?

A rising star which one day might successfuly compete for the President of Poland`s position.

I won`t mind if he proves he can speak English,French and other languages as well as Mr Trzaskowski.

Mr Trzaskowski excels in languages.
However, I just found out that Mr Hołownia excels in writing books. He has published about 20 so far. Amasing!

However, few people realize that Szymon Hołownia is also the author of many books. The Speaker of the Sejm has written over 20 publications. The first of them - " The Church for Intermediate Advanced People " - was published in 2004. Three years later, " Tablets with a cross " was published, in which the author deals with difficult questions asked by believers. In turn, " People on Suitcases " is a collection of Hołownia's conversations with people whose illness or other life situation almost led to death.

The politician also wrote two books with his former TV programme colleague, Marcin Prokop . The book " God, Money and Rock'n'Roll " was extremely popular and received good reviews for its attempt to collide two worlds and sets of often opposing views of on-screen partners. In turn, in 2013, another joint item by the presenters was published, " Everything's OK. We're sorting out our lives ." The last book written by Hołownia with Prokop is " Half and Half: Conversations not for children " , published in 2019 .

" Factory of Jutra " from 2020 is Szymon Hołownia's last release so far. The book tells about the reasons and background of the long-time journalist and presenter's entry into the world of politics.

Mr Hołownia and his wife, the pilot of fighter planes: They have two daughters.

Many singers typically sing convincingly in several languages.
Look at Abba, Nina Hagen, Adele etc......

Are you sure he wrote all those books? Or did his TVN and WSI handlers give him a helping hand?

Or did his TVN

When he wrote most of them, he wasn`t a politician yet. He became one in 2020 when he rivaled for president`s position. .

Today another session of the Parliament. PIS gangsters tried to obstruct but the Speaker dealt with them amazingly well.

- SpeakerHołownia is doing quite well in this difficult obstructive situation. His personality, but also the calmness learned through media appearances, is the best antidote to attempts to throw people off balance. No one would feel comfortable standing at the head of a body where there are shouts, stomps and sounds that are inappropriate. But Hołownia deals with it all with stoic calm - says political scientist, prof. Agnieszka Kasińska-Metryka.

Watch the guy tossing PiS gangsters like rag dolls with his wit and irony:
