Hołownia - a rising star in Polish politics?

Semi casual zero tie garb.

Semi formal, of course.

You will, indeed, all hang

Now you are following the style of Nazis or Soviets??? Or Tsarist Russians punishing rebellious Poles for their Risings??

@pawian

Tusk is an anti Polish europhile.....he knows where his bread and butter is coming from and it's not Warsaw.....

Hołownia has signed an alliance treaty with PSL - they are going to take part in the coming elections as a coalition. Polls give them around 14%. Interesting.

PSL

Hołownia

Another Palikot or Petru, only worse because we don't really know who's pulling his strings (probably the Church), as he never revealed where the funds for his presidential campaign came from, and he seems to be mentally unstable (crying over the constiutution lol). Also, failure to get higher education these days, when even my neighbour's cat would easily get a magister degree at any uni, doesn't reflect well on the guy.

Those guys get into bed with anyone.

Yes, and they restrain their coalition partner from any extreme ideas (leftist or rightist). They are exactly the commonsensical, centre party that Poland needs. Too bad they joined Hołownia's ephemeral movement.

Like palikot his funding comes from members of the disbanded WSI

Amasing. I have never come across such a suspicion concerning Hołownia. He does admit his adherence to religious values and lay people critisize and reject him for that. But walking on the leash of the RC Church??? A more enlightened, less controvercial version of a typical rightist?

Exactly - a Tygodnik Powszechny, "Kościół łagiewnicki" type of guy. The Church is a 2000-year-old institution - they haven't survived for that long by putting all their eggs in one basket (PiS). Hołownia is their man in case PiS loses and the opposition takes power.

How should we know that you aren`t a PiS Church agent who is trying to belittle and diminish Hołownia here so that PiS can win the elections? You admitted recently to returning to RC Church after a time of separation. Ha!!

You can't know this. That's the whole point in being a secret agent. :)

who is trying to belittle and diminish Hołownia

He does it quite well himself without needing any help from me in this matter.

It is amasing how things can change in Polish politics.
2 years ago Hołownia`s party attracted over 20% polled voters.
Today, being in coalition with another niche party, they have a problem with reaching 8%.

He's kind of an empty suit.... he talks but doesn't really say anything.... I don't know what he wants except that he really wanted/wants to be president....

it seems many of his previous supporters think alike. He had a huge support when the main opposition party was led by azholes. After the true leader arrived on a white horse to save Poland, I mean Honourable Donald Tusk, Hołownia has descended to the voting threshold.

But we need them for the opposition to win the elections and create a new gov at last.

I mean Honourable Donald Tusk

The man has no honour, a skillful politician? You could perhaps argue this, but honour he has none. He has been sent to kneecap Warsaw on behalf of Brussels. This is why he has nothing to say regarding Poland, as far as he is concerned it shouldn't even exist.

I'd say he has a great deal.

He has been sent to kneecap Warsaw

He hasn't though, has he.

Please ,don`t be so hysterical about Mr Donald Tusk. He isn`t flawless, indeed, yet, put next to most PiS politicians, he is a holy man.

He is the Saviour. Let`s say our prayers for him!:
Mutter unser, who are in Heaven, ...... etc

Hołownia`s party and its partner have just announced their voting slogan:
Stop to quarrels, move ahead!

Not bad.
mafketis 37 | 10,906

Stop to quarrels, move ahead!

Dość kłótni, do przodu!

I might translate it as 'Enough fighting, let's move forward'...

But given that it's Hołownia I have the idea it really means 'Don't criticize me!'....

They have no chance. Hołwonia is a joke. I wonder who sponsor him, just handing in there doing absolutly nothing.

The viewers and experts who watched the electoral debate of major party leaders last Monday were impressed by Hołownia`s performance. He was rated as the best speaker.

Check him out talking about how to improve the collapsing health care system under PiS. He proposes to spend 7% GNP on health care and if you can`t make an appointment at a state clinic within 6 months, your visit to a private facility will be refunded. Interesting.

Now the average time to see a specialist doctor is 6 months. Some specialists require a much longer waiting time. Imagine you have a cancer or mental problems - wait 1 year or longer for a visit.

Thank you, PIS!!!

A friend who watched the whole thing (I... couldn't) said Hołownia was easily the best. This is not someone who's a fan of him but recognized he did a very good job. Also Bosak did well, from what I remember when he just speaks about social issues he comes across pretty well, it's when he falls into the culture-war topics that he turns people off...
