The modern West seems to be all about denying the Truth.

As Russians, and as Slavs, our main orientation is always towards Truth as the highest Good.

We are bad at playing your Western games of Kabuki theater, but we know what Truth is, and we hold onto it.

Soviet yoke made people crooked, public opinion matters in Poland and what people think, in Russia it is only important what those on top think and that is all the secret.

As for the "latin cvilization western culture"... we certainly still have civilization... probably still Latin to a large extent. I'm afraid that we would have to redefine this "Western" bit though. Remember that Crow (another eerily smart guy at closer scrutiny) used to say that Poland is the real West. Build a wall... we should build a wall asap - on every border. Preserve what we have. Hold out.

Then you have little knowledge of Polish police's actions during previous P.O. governing, and then under PiS then. It was of very little difference. So I am not expecting some grand goodness from Tusk.

The Polish police are pretty low quality anyway; most of them would be fired or imprisoned in more developed countries.

From the current Premier (and from the next President who will be from Platforma) however, we should not expect the same low standards as the hyper-authoritarian PiS regarding political opponents.

They're many levels above the shower who've been ignominiously voted out.

The truth is that Russians aren`t mentally European, they are Euro-Asian mongrels by character.
Another truth is that Ukrainians have chosen prosperous Europe and the West instead of deteriorating corrupt Euro-Asian Russia. And Russians are doing their best to prevent that.

Ukrainian PM and his ministers have come to the border to run crash negotiations. But Polish gov haven`t - Poles claim they stick to the date arranged earlier, ie 28 February.
