Do Polish Women age well?

The older generations had more important things to care about to survive.

A very thoughtful answer. And it hits the nail on the head.

Indeed, when a woman had to spend half of her time after work lining up in stores, cooked for the family, took care of the laundry, kids' homework and a mountain of other things then, even is she was able to eventually buy some decent cosmetics, she had only so much time to take care of herself.

I often think that Polish women were the true heroes (heroines might sound too ambiguous) of this country.

Primarily because they seem care more about their appearance than the older generations did.

I almost feel offended. It seems I must belong to the "older generation" and I am now expected to shrivel up like a prune after spending my youth standing in lines for bread and toilet paper. :-/

Is too hard for you to count the years and realise that someone who is 40 today was not born during WW2, and actually lived all of their adult life in post-communist Poland? I do not know even one woman who would use only the cheapest cosmetics and skimp on hairdressers or nice clothes just because "times were hard". Not only in my generation, but in my mother's generation as well. Some people just don't age well and that's that. It's a question of genes, not money.

Of course this thread is a generalization. And it's a complex question, so it shouldn't be considered as a universal explaination

But I still experience, everyday in the streets, that people in their 20's care more about physical appearance than those in their 50's. And I can come up with several explanations why I think it is like that. But this is not very important in my opinion, I was trying to give a possible explanation to the initial question.

* It should be said that there are many Polish women in their 40's that look very good for their age.

** It should also be said that there are other things, except beauty, that are important also (or maybe even more important).

in my opinion- no, they do not age well. British chicks age well- you can see quite many (i.e. much more than in poland) 40+ chicks that are still fvckable ;)

unfortunatelly (or not)- polish girls look better while being a teen or in twenties (british girl look sexier when they are ~30 yo)

Slavic women age very quickly except czech girls who are more germanized(this is one of the reasons they tend to marry as young as possible since they know their value falls at least 20% every year from the age of 18).

That is true; but those same 50-year-olds did care a lot more about their appearance when they were 20, and today's youth will not be so bothered about how they look when they grow older! Sure, there are exceptions in both age groups, but you get my drift. Also, older people who look a bit run down in the clothes and hair department are not a Polish trait - not by a long shot. I see them all the time here in London, but I wouldn't want to generalise about how English / Pakistani / African women age (many don't look that fascinating after passing approximately 40, but I would still put it down to an individual's unfortunate gene pool).

I often think, what eradicates their former beauty so quickly? Smoking, bad diet, lack of excercise, drinking, hormones, stress, other?

genes. its not just poland but normal in all slavic countries. until they reach 25 or so they often have very angular attractive features but when they reach 25 they grow into their cheekbones and develope that typically slavic square faced "walked-into-a-wall" look. the rest of their bodies tend to fill out around the same time.

At age 30, they look 25.
At age 40, they look 40.
At age 50, they look 55.
At age 60, they look 70.
At age 70, they look 100.

nup just experience from living and teaching in czech republic and poland and travelling in ukraine (although its not quite so pronounced in czech republic - some of their women look very eastern while some look western, nearly half-half i'd say). eastern european girls can be quite pretty when young (although they tend to overdo it a bit trying to mymic western women) but once they get into their late 20s its all down hill. look at a young polish girl then look at her mum. its the cheekbones i tells ya

Sometimes the mum looks bettee.Polish women keep in shape till they get about 31-32.They age much better than russian women but a bit worse than czech ones who can keep. In shape till 35 years old sometimes. But an Ukrainka over 25 is considered old.

It makes him as old as he wants to imagine himself. Obsessed ppl ...

Infact aging depends on how you maintain yourself, stress levels, diet etc ... its nothing to be generalized like that. People just age ... you need to look beyond the body if you really want to appreciate someone in any whichever way ...

womens aging process

Women, if you are in your fifties, please don't wear a mini-skirt. Same if you're fat.

Don't overdue it with makeup, it makes you look like a clown. We can see your age spots and wrinkles.

Don't overdue perfume. It's a real turn-off.

If you've been brainwashed by feminism and are more than 40 years old then you are probably living with cats. You also smell like them. This is the only situation where it's okay to over perfume yourself.

Don't constantly dangle your legs and/or otherwise attempt to show them off whenever possible. We men see your limbs all the time and you aren't exactly a mystery anymore. Besides, your legs are probably not all that nice anyway. Same goes for breasts. Stop it with showing all that cleavage so often, especially those of your with the fat cells.

Don't blame PMS when you're young; don't blame 'hot flashes' when you're middle aged; don't blame your cats when you're older.

Don't cut your hair too short if you can. Absolutely don't make your hair red, or even worse, orange.

Though that applies to young women as well, in my taste.

Do Polish Women age well?

No they don't, at least that's my personal experience.

Americans have coined the phrase "babushka syndrome" - it supposedly applies to women from Russia and Eastern Europe.

The following will keep anyone looking young far beyond their years:
1) plenty of rest-the body needs to regenerate
2) low stress- stress hormones like adrenaline and cortisol hasten aging
3) excercise- for endorphin and growth hormone release(among many other benefits)
4)no smoking- constricts small blood vessels hampering skin nutrition
5)protect from ultra-violet radiation(that's why pigmented skin "ages" better than Caucasian skin.

The major beauty crime older Polish women commit is to dye their hair to unnaturally looking hues of blond, black, or red. It somewhat brings up the wrinkles and makes the woman look even older. I'm all for dying hair, but it has to look like a color made by nature. Also, very often too much make up makes a woman look older instead of younger.

It is just the quality of slavic skin that makes them look older also the heavy use of make up,alcohol and cigarettes in some cases. However Polki retain a remarkably good shape compared to Russkaye and Ukrainky and the reason must be their greater physical resistance to the vodka effect.(just kidding basically it is the diets they follow).

Thanks for compliment :) This means I age well, lol . If you are single again , just come here and you will not be disappointed :)

All these men who complain about Polish women, do that, because they were rejected by them , that`s why they are so mean , frustrated and post here such unhonest opinions . How can you generalize so much , everything is a very individual matter , some look better some worse . I don`t see the point of such discussion , as you can say the same stuff about all women population around the globe .

Nobody`s perfect :)

Polish MILFS look quite good. They just don't have the same kind of surgeries that keep western women in shape and in some cases they just cannot afford so expensive dental care. But in physical cases comparisons they look rather good.
