I automatically know he/she doesn't know me, or isn't interested

They don't care about you and they don't want to know you, they just want you to shout the same slogans as they do and to be a part of their cult i.e. ideology.

Explaining anything to them is just a waste of time:
- they don't listen and they don't want to listen
Why would that do it, that takes time, effort and some brains.
Whereas yelling slogans, insult people who disagree with them gives them an instant gratification, and validation. They don't need to face reality where they are nobodies supported by their indulging parents with no skills nor talents and a big ego to top it all.

Here they can blame the world and other people for their shortcoming.
Do you think your classroom explanation would make them go - oh ops sorry yeah you are actually all right it is us that are dumb and fat and wrong?

Don't hold your breath.
