Why are so many Polish People rude on the internet?

Soggy  - | 6

The thing is that they are rude on the internet because it's just in their nature to be rude. If they have an opportunity to say something and nobody knows who it came from, they will run their unintelligent mouths all over the place. Once they are confronted in person, they cower and have nothing to say. All talk and no show. Most of it is alcohol induced.

Right on, Soggy. I've been attacked recently for no good reason and for trying to stamp out racism. Also, they write atrociously yet criticise my Polish. That's very rude!

This is on Youtube.

That's exactly what you can see if you visit any internet board or forums, youtube comments.. it's not the polish exclusive, and by the way 4chan wasn't invented by Poles either...

Why are so many Polish People rude on the Internet?

Because it's cute?

Because they can vent, and let the evil twin hang out without fear of being 'outed'. Anonymous authors have been most vicious even before computers.

Of course, I'm ignoring attributing this to Polish people only. That is simply not true.

I know the type, though. I'm referring to a specific type that needs to cut out the racism and cuss words. Calling a Japanese guy a 'slanty-eyed fu*k' in Polish is just not on.

I always avoid alcohol, alcohol-focused events, smoke and smoky places, does it mean that I'm not a true blood polish guy?

Get to the point. The sort that type such nonsense are invariably tanked-up nobs that have overshot on vodka. There is also an element of cowardice involved. They wouldn't say half the BS that they write to the faces of their targets.

Armchair warriors. Usually racist, which is a symptom of inadequacy if ever there was one.

Heyyyy! I don't drink vodka...much.

Armchair warriors. Usually racist, which is a symptom of inadequacy if ever there was one.

And I don't sit in an armchair but if I did it would be the greatest one ever.

That's because, from what I can glean anyway, you are a cultured and well-travelled guy that doesn't vent his spleen and tries to tow the line of moderation and decency. The potato-headed buraks that I am alluding to have their dukes up and are ready for a scrap. Disrespecting my Polish language skills was just rude. Yes, I made small mistakes but the sense was very clear.

Besides, you are not Polish ;)

Poles are not more Rude than Americans are, and probably others on that matter.. so many examples.

Frd, we are talking about Poles here and not Americans. No deflection please, that's just rude ;)

I've seen rude postings by Americans but not on the scale of some of the forums for Poles. It's shameful and, frankly, disgusting what they write. It makes me sad to know Polish language. Racism and cussing abound!

It tends to descend into a battle against anonymous posters and leads to nothing constructive.

Well if you want to talk about someones rudeness you need to have a reference point. I took Americans because imho they are "the most rude" on the internet right now. It's a simple fact and there are many proofs... sorry but you're just wrong. It might be that it is because of lack of language knowledge we can't join the global bashing and trolling in the way we could... we still need some more time...

There's no being wrong about it, frd. It's a fact that many Poles are racist and hateful on Polish language forums and other places like Youtube. I've seen it with my own eyes. Some of the stuff is much harder hitting than any American commentary I have read.

Still, I really get on well with many Poles around me so whatever is written is written. I don't know those morons who just happen to be Polish. God Bless those Poles around me who have deep souls and strong hearts!

Some are racist and some aren't. I've just encountered one heckuva lot in recent times!!!

Sadly. You haven't read enough it seems.
Haven't seen Polish version of anything like that:

tv.gawker.com/5506453/trolling-the-today-show-explores-the-dark-side-of-the-internet

encyclopediadramatica.com/Nikki_Catsouras

And that's not even the worst thing you can find..

I agree that Poles are not angels, but some people out there in the world have taken it to the whole new level. We here in Poland are still too far behind everyone to understand the idea of internet anonymity..

Frd, you are missing my point. I'm not talking about other nations but about Poland. The thread asks us to discuss Polish people. I have read, as a matter of fact, some horribly bigotted and biased opinions in Polish language. I'm talking about my experience and have read different sources. I understand Polish very well and know what I am reading.

Also, please write what I normally write in relation to 'are Poles?' and 'do Poles?' threads. Thanks, ma man!

Really?
On this forum?

I am not a hundred percent who is Polish on this site, I only know of about 10 : Easy Terrain, Socrates, Torq, pawian, McCoy, Funny bunny, Lodztheboat, Frd, Grzegorz, and Justyna.

A lot of the rudeness on here are from other non-Polish posters.

Forums in Polish language, Seanny. This is an English language forum. I dare say that I'd get on like a house on fire with many resident Poles here. We'd hit it off well.

Some of the buraks are a grave disappointment to Poles that I have talked to. Best left ignored. DT is right, Youtube attracts many.

Youtube's Polish followers tend to be neo-nazi jew haters. I tend to ignore most of what is said on it.

Frd, you are missing my point. I'm not talking about other nations but about Poland.

Alrite then to answer your questions: They are rude, because they are rude, because there are rude people everywhere, there are vicious people EVERYWHERE, and any person who's missing this point is missing a valuable lesson on life. We could create as many such threads as there are nations in the world. The reason would be the same.

Some of the stuff is much harder hitting than any American commentary I have read.

Well I've just countered that with my previous post. I haven't seen anything that hard, and no faul language will go anywhere near...

You can't discuss one topic without a reference point, without referencing you can only agree with the general truth that "People are rude" if you want to discuss it further then you need examples and examples are nothing if you can say that there are rude people somewhere else beside Poland - and there's no point of that because someone somewhere along the line will say "Yes but they are more rude than"..

It's like saying let's talk about WW2 and how Poles were backstabbed by their allies without some expats argueing that they weren't, and how everything went lovely jobly, without the whole thread changing into a clustereff of spam in 10 posts.

Youtube videos comments are hardly a proof of anything, they are rather the easiest way to get biased, each video touches a different layer of society and I won't believe anyone who says he has seen all of them. I was once like that I've seen some comments under a polish hip hop video, comments were just hidious, oozing with hatered between fans of different rappers, but it's a matter of the content of the video and nothing more, I've later noticed that there are same people who think exactly like these enraged polish 14yolds in other parts of the world I just haven't stumbled upon their comments that time.. So I can assure you there are actually videos that are not made by Poles that are pretty much along the same lines...

Some do, some don't... at least a point we're not both agreeing with. ;)

I didn't read all the replies here, but I have not experienced any rudeness from Poles online. I have contacted a fair few and all have been very pleasent. :)

Why do people think millions of Pole are the same?
I have never encountered rude Poles on the internet.

British people are by far worse.
