Do you know how the Chicago Police Dept. use to close the lakefront parks at 11:00 pm back in the 1990`s?

They would pull into the parking lot and turn on the spot light, then say over the microphone " smile ******* so we can see you".

I never knew their teeth were reflective until that day.....

Tattoos have to be blurred when photos of people are shown to the public - here, both the suspect`s and police officer`s tattoos are blurred. Amasing!

Why exactly?

Because suspects enjoy the right to remain anonymous. Later on you might run into the guy or guyess in the street and recognise them by their tattoos as the ones having problems with the law.

The same applies to police officers. Some prefer to stay in the backstage of the legal procedures. :):):)

Presumably because that makes both people identifiable. It doesn't mean that because someone is a suspect that they necessarily committed the crime. It could prejudice a forthcoming trial and if members of the public knew the people involved some people might take matters into their own hands if a crime is particularly nasty.

Like the personalized plates, tattoos are stupid. No upside...only down...

Much more than this. I have always suspected that having coloured chemicals injected into your skin may contribute to various health disorders, including cancer. Now scientists are corroborating that suspicion.

This is a kind of self-harm. I wonder when it will become fashionable to cut off your little finger or foreskin... ah, we already know that.
