In Poland.

For "rozpowszechniania treści antysemickich i nawoływania do nienawiści na tle różnic narodowościowych". =Diffusing antisemitic texts and encouraging hatred on the basis of national differences

You can tell jokes about anyone. It's when those jokes cross a line that problems start, at least under Polish law.

You can still buy books of jokes about Jewish people in some kiosks

I haven't seen any but they would certainly be of great historical value.

A riddle - why the stage is associated with joking

Is this still a remnant of Greek comedy?

Yes, sort of though tragedies are one century older than comedies.
Talking about centuries, in the19th one the job of an actor and actress was considered a joke and people viewed workers of the stage as clowns. At least in Charles Dicken`s novels.
