Another shocking school shooting in the USA - this time it was a 6- (six sic!!!)- year -old who badly injured his teacher in elementary school.
Soon all Am teachers will carry guns in class for personal protection. The US is certainly an amazing country. I knew exactly what I was doing when I earned enough money and came back to Poland after 1.5 year.
The same as always in this thread before: reading such reports from the USA, I am against wide access to guns in Poland. I thought it was obvious but you must have forgotten about my attitude so I am reiterating it now: no guns in private possession except special cases like hunters etc.
Poland vs the US...Different countries, different history, different rights. You have none. We have them all. See the 1st and the 2nd Amendments. I can defend myself here and you can't there. You delegated your defense of yourself and your family to the government. They may came or not...when you need them.
I don't even have to call them. I would only when it's over to collect the intruder's body before it starts decomposing.
Are you allowed to use your fists or do you need a license for this in Poland?
I would shoot a kitten with a gun. You would have to file an application and have hearing in six months before you could defend yourself. Your obligation is to give the sob what he wants or retreat. We don't retreat. That's why it is Americans protecting your weasely Polish as*ses, not the other way.
But you mentioned shooting a kitten. Would it be in self defence too??? hahahahahaha That is why I left America when I felt it was time to. Shooting kittens and preschool kids in self defence is a really amassing life style. Congrats, Americans. :):):)
If I ever start carrying, it will be to kill some a-hole's pet from hell. Quoting dailymail:
Louisiana girl, 7, is mauled to death by neighbor's pit bull while playing outside: Dog's owner, 20, is charged with homicide for letting bloodthirsty pet roam freely, as victim's mom says: 'My heart is shattered'
Bottom line: guns save lives.
That's why cops have them. If they can, so can I and for exactly the same reason.
@mafketis Guy was absolutely justified for the first three shots. The last four shots were execution and he will likely be charged with second degree murder or manslaughter. Welcome to Texas.
Guy was absolutely justified for the first three shots.
I never had a chance to "stop the threat" by firing a gun but I think it's critical to decide on one of the two extremes: to kill or to disable. Seven-shot defense does not fit either case.
This is what guns are for - to prevent crime and save money on prosecution and incarceration. From daily email:
Moment customer shoots and kills robber who held up Houston restaurant with fake gun: Cops search for a vigilante who fired eight bullets into thief's back and one 'execution-style' into his head
Yes! Guns prevent a lot of crime in the USA. Soon, all American prisons will be shut down due to the lack of convicts. :):):) Only when we read about mass shootings in school facilities or supermarkets or simply streets, we wonder what went wrong with that perfect prevention.
Guns really add to safety, don't they? You read about elementary children (accidentally or not) killing others all the time in countries with strict gun laws... .
That 'perfect prevention' is bull$hit. But it's America's tradition to have a gun under one's pillow during the night. Let it be so and let them keep it. European tradition is different and we (well, the majority of us in Europe) simply don't want an American-style guns culture here in Europe.
