Gun control in Poland: should Polish people be allowed to own guns?

Rape rates...

Poland 1.3

What is that 1.3 if nobody gets raped in Poland, according to another lying Polish weasel?

Is it the air, water, or DNA what makes Poles into idiots...

@Novichok, I didn't write anywhere that nobody ever gets raped in Poland, you lying, manipulating moron.

I'm telling you what I know.

Well... I actually have a perspective that might shed light on why guys don't want to intervene in random fights between husbands and wives on the street.

One time, I was dropping off my then girlfriend at her block of flats. As we were pulling into the parking area, we saw a guy dragging his girl around by her hair and kicking her. I walked my girlfriend to her door, and assured her I would go and take a second look at what was going on.

Walking up to them, I could see the guy was completely out of control, but also likely completely unaware of his surroundings. So I decided quickly I would headlock him from behind. While he was there wheezing, I told his lady it's probably best if she just goes home and stops trying to debate him.

Then, when it was just me and him alone - I made it clear to him I got nothing against him. After several times asking him if he had calmed down, I let him go.

As I was walking back to my car, I felt a sudden flash of blinding white light. The f*cker had walked over to the rubbish carts, picked up a champagne bottle, and crushed it over my head.

A fun two months for me after that. Kinda put me off intervening in people's domestic disputes.

Yes, you did, you stupid woman... That broad daylight in the middle of the city was a sneaky BS to allow to play down the problem and say "no woman".

@Novichok, no woman is raped and murdered in broad daylight in the middle of the city in Poland.

Besides being a lie...Women get raped under all kinds of conditions, moron...

There is one group of women in Poland and the US with extremely low or zero rape rates...

I will let you guess who they are...

Rape rates...

Poland 1.3

USA 41.4

Is this for real??? If this is for real then I would own a gun in the US too lol o_O 🤯 Fortunately I live in Poland so I don't have to :D

Kinda put me off intervening in people's domestic disputes.

I can understand that. That's what police is for though.

Last summer a guy was knocking seven bells out of his wife outside my gate, I heard their kid yelling and went out to split them up. The guy was much smaller than me so able to restrain him but it took 25 mins for the police to come, by which time they had all agreed to leave.

I have seen his wife several times since in Zabka or Biedronka and she always blanks me

The babushka that came and took care of me, and called the ambulance - said she had called the cops 15 minutes prior.

I don't know if they ever showed up.

If this old woman was not watching our little circus below, I'm not sure that I would not be some kind of full retard today with an IQ of 50. She scared the guy away from me, and then sat around my unconscious body until doctors arrived.

(posted in Random), ok moved back since the response is on topic.

Yes, you did, you stupid woman...

No, I didn't, you stupid a-hole.

That broad daylight in the middle of the city was a sneaky BS

No, that's the reality. What would I need a gun for if my life happens mainly during the day? And as I wrote - people usually feel safe in Poland even in the evening and at night.

Women get raped under all kinds of conditions, moron...

They are more likely to be raped in certain conditions though and the likelihood of them getting raped under other conditions is close to zero. I'm not going to get raped when I'm going next to busy streets in the middle of the day to do some shopping in the city centre.

There is one group of women in Poland (...) with extremely low or zero rape rates...

Yes, that group is majority of women in Poland lol

Is this for real???

Yes, it is.

Six Euro countries have higher rape rates than the US...

Sweden

France

Iceland

Scotland

Finland

Norway

...with Denmark and Belgium right behind...

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rape_statistics

Did you figure out which women 20 to 40 are the least likely to get raped?

Puzzling, right?

In another instance - I saw a guy at a pool hall/poker place - kick a waitress carrying a tray right in the stomach. She doubled over and collapsed.

I started giving him lectures about good behavior, and he cracked a cue stick across the back of my head.

Later I saw her, and she didn't even say hello to me. So much for chivalry.

That sucks, that's a long wait.

she always blanks me

Yeah, that's pretty typical. She's probably ashamed.

Did you figure out which women 20 to 40 are the least likely to get raped?

Polish women who therefore don't need guns? :D

If this old woman was not watching our little circus below

;D

Within that majority, who is the least likely to be raped in Poland or the US?

Yeah, that's pretty typical. She's probably ashamed.

Ashamed of what?! Saying "thank you"?

She's a woman - no one expects her to go toe to toe with a dude. There's no shame in that you got beat by some assh*le - it's for him to be ashamed about.

But someone suffered physical injury on your behalf, without any need or obligation to do so. Civilized behavior would be to say, "Thank you - you really didn't have to - but I appreciate it."

kick a waitress carrying a tray right in the stomach. She doubled over and collapsed.

Where was that? o_O

Within that majority, who is the least likely to be raped in Poland or the US?

Those who use their brains? A gun won't help you much if you get into a car with total strangers half-conscious from drinking, for example.

Of course, you can simply get very unlucky and get attacked by some psycho when returning from a night shift, for example, but then you can use pepper spray.

Ashamed of what?!

I was talking about cms_neuf's case, not yours.

Before Russia designated specific geographic zones where gambling was legal. There was a period of a gray area. If you wanted to gamble, you had to do it in the back of all sorts of restaurants, pool halls, boutiques, etc.

A waste of electric and bad for the environment. Just use a decent fan.
Anyway, it would be bizarre to install a/c just to use for 6 weeks each year..

Depends on how you look at it jon
Approximately 500 people die from unintentional shootings in the U.S. per year yet over 1200 die from heat unintentionally.
So in essence A/C is a life saver for many especially us older folks like my friend mafketis explained to you.
I wouldn't call that a waste of my money to be comfortable in my old age.
My central air conditioning unit does my whole house as it uses the heating duct work too.
The A/C unit sets outside the house and runs at such a low noise level that you can't even hear it running from inside the house.
The total cost was under $10,000 with zero maintenance besides blowing the leaves out it in the spring and changing its filter.
And as far as the environment goes you can talk to Putin and Zelenskyy about what they are doing to the environment.
It was 92* degrees (34C) at my house yesterday and very humid outside.
Inside I had my A/C turned up to the point that I had ice on the inside of my windows.
I repeat.... more people die in heat waves in Europe than die of gun violence in the US...

And tawdrily frivolous to equate deliberate shootings with summer weather conditions.

No its not but it is tawdrily to confuse deliberate and unintentional shootings like only Mr. Twister could.
Heat waves that kill are undeliberate and so are undeliberate shootings. (Ya trackin' with us now jon ?)

In my spare time, I rage on Polishforums.com. Here I am on the side of the pro gun person and they name call me and expect me to dialogue with them. Probably some AI bot.

Anyways, guns are a tool to protect. Not just a tool for criminals. Criminals (including the government) do not follow the law. People will always find a way to get what they want. Sure you can cut the guns down, but now you have acid attack, stabbings, bombings. Is the solution to ban those too? Ban everything except the criminals behind the weapon right?

a tool to protect

Not in Poland.

acid attack, stabbings, bombings

If someone decided to do any of those, a gun would not protect you.

Those who use their brains?

So less intelligent women bring rapes on themselves?

Still clueless what women are least likely to be raped...intelligent or not...I can tell immediately without asking a single question because I am a lot smarter than you.

Anyways, guns are a tool to protect.

Perfect. This means you must be an American. Only Americans have brains...

Memo to the stupid Euros:

If you don't have a tool do defend yourself with, you don't have the right to defend yourself....Dih!

Also:

If you don't have the right to offend, you don't have free speech. Duh, again...

Conclusion: You are subjects, not free citizens.

I have both rights. Here is one of them in action:

I love Hitler and NAZIs. Hitler was a great German patriot.

Why did I say it? Becase I felt like it...No special reason...

There,...eat shlt, if you are offended...

Memo to Golden Moron:

Can you tell just by looking which women are the least likely to get raped?

fighting chance vs disfigured or dead, I'll take fighting chance.

The problem with these idiots here is that they simply deny the obvious as a debating technique...

Nope. It never happens.

Yes, azzholes, it happens... Just because you covered your eyes, it didn't go away...

Dealing with retarded children has to be a lot easier...

Zero chance, unless you're the Sundance Kid or Jack Reacher.

The idea that having a firearm stashed away somewhere would protect you from a sudden attack (of the non-existent sort the siller american posters here seem to think happen in Poland) is pure fantasy.

When has someone ever thrown acid on kids in Poland in an unprovoked attack ?

What really is the chance of that happening on my way to Zabka ?

These lurid American fantasies are so weird
Feniks  1 | 952
7 Jul 2025   #1019
What really is the chance of that happening on my way to Zabka ?

That doesn't matter to the gun nuts. It's that tiny 0.1% chance that it might happen. It's called living in fear.

But a gun could stop them from ever doing it again

Like the death penalty has been a deterrent for fatal shootings? Don't make me laugh.

It's that tiny 0.1% chance that it might happen.

0.1%? One in a thousand? No way. More like 0.000001% and that's probably an exaggeration as well.
