Looking for a Polish word based on an English pronunciation - Dorchino

I am trying to do a genealogical trace on a lady who lived near me many years ago. She was named Julia Blaskowski and was originally from Kolo, Poland. I think she may have been a relation of some sort, possibly a niece of my grandpa. Anyway, we all called her "Dorchino". At least, that is what it sounded like to me. Is there some Polish word that means 'niece' or 'cousin' or 'sweetie pie' or something that sounds like "Dorchino" to an English-speaking person?

The closest to my understanding would be: Dziewczyno = (My) Girl

Dziewczyno

Or "Dziecino" - child.
