What is the meaning of swięto państwowe?

Is it correct to use this phrase for labour day? Or does this mean national holiday?

To some extend since it's a national holiday but labour day is "Święto Pracy"

Official name of 1 May in Poland is Święto Państwowe (National Holiday without any further description) because some people thought Labour Day sounded too communist, yet wanted to keep the holiday so decided on a neutral name. In colloquial speach it is still called Święto Pracy ( Labour Day) or just Pierwszy Maja (The First of May).
