Polish shipyards are leaders in terms of sales to Spain, Germany, France and Great Britain. Polish vessels are associated with high quality laminates, precise outfitting and modern construction. High quality stems from the fact that many elements are handcrafted.

Germans Continue To Burn Down Turks' Homes

poligazette.com/2008/02/27/germans-continue-to-burn-down-turks-homes

For those who are wondering whether the incident a couple of weeks ago - when someone burnt down a building inhabited by Turkish immigrants, killing nine - was indeed that, an incident there's this. In short: it was no incident. 21 February Sabah reported that four fires were started within 17 days. Last week Thursday another building inhabited by Turks was burned to the ground.

:)

Lukasz? Why this interest in Turks so suddenly?

History / What do Poles think about Turks? [761]

we are historicaly not the best firiends. Relationship was good in 90s but when Nord Stream project appeared ...

And you are supporting Schwan because you think she is an "enemy" of Steinberg who want's such a museum be build? Do you have an idea how hypocritical you sound?

you know the problem is that this neighbours started to be better humans after Nazi invasion. Imagine yourself Turks invade Germany and some of emigrants are on Turks side. Finaly Germany wins war and natuarly expels traitors and lets loyal stay. Seems to be fair. Yes we are against this project becuase it is aimed on Poles when Poles were expeled form east by Salins decission and Germans were expeled because of Alies decision. Russians are your friends and Americans are too strong.

Ok it is wrong idea to talk about this issue again.

as to Turks you need more time be patient. Maybe you are going to have so loyal citizens like Jews before WWII ... don't do this mistake again.

PS: And your germanophobie is as least as strong as my turkophobie...so stop usinig words like "nazi-propaganda"!(You are still calling Germany the "enemy" in another thread)

Germans and Poles are not best friends ...

I am not germanphobe I like your candidate on president she is ok. :)

What you want to do with Turks expel them ? I thought Germans are building museum about expeled immigrants ...

I think it is time to work harder and try to assimilate Turks. I have heard about this teachers in Poland so when you mentioned it in discussion with our Turk friend I realized that it has something to do with reallity. Maybe it is time to socialize with Turks try to be nicer for them maybe they need more time. It is very long process. Your effort is needed. :) First Turk Chancelor will be good sign.

They will rather try to assimilate YOU to THEM!

Greeks are good example that it is possible to assimilate turks.

I say no for nazi propaganda. Get real bratwurst look how people live. About what they think : work about life about pleasure. Live in real world everything will be fine.

Turks are ok you need to accept them and everything will be better. I have notced that alost all police members in Germany are natives. Maybe it is time to change it.

History / What do Poles think about Turks? [761]

We can talk about history but in present time Turks are ok.

I have checked data about Germany. 13 % of Germans are imigrants 40% of kids in big cities are imigrants kids. Just think what will happen when this kids will start making kids...

economist.com/world/europe/displaystory.cfm?story_id=10958534

How Germany deals with its minorities is a mounting preoccupation for its leaders. In cities with more than 200,000 inhabitants 45% of children under 15 have a "migration background", meaning either that they immigrated themselves or have parents or grandparents who did.

She started DeuKische Generation to persuade Germans that Turks could be as German as anyone, and to push Turks to embrace the language and norms of their adoptive country. "Germans think we'll leave, but I'm mainly German," she insists in Hochdeutsch as mellifluous as anyone's. Astonishingly poised for a 19-year-old, she might just become the first German chancellor to boast a Turkish name.

Poland Italy and Spain strongly support Turkey.

Poland knows exactly the concerns of Russia and Germany about the US missile shield and still...so there!

Russia is not member of nato and Germany support this project.
(from link I have posted before)

Details of the 20-page CDU policy paper, to be voted on this week by the party, are still being developed, but main author Andreas Schockenhoff -- deputy chair of the party's parliamentary group -- gave a preview in the German foreign policy magazine Internationale Politik.

In the essay, Schockenhoff argues for Germany to take steps to better protect itself from the threat of a nuclear attack from rogue states, saying it must support "a missile defense shield over Europe."

So what is your problem ? Merkel supports this idea. You want shield but not in Poland ?

News / Is NORD STREAM dangerous for Poland's natural enviroment? [372]

I will end this discussion in this point:

Whether Russia is prepared to be persuaded by Poland let alone even listen to it remains in doubt.Nord Stream is strategic project by Moscow to marginalise troublesome transit states like Poland, Ukraine and Belarus, regardless of the economics or the environment. Poland and its Baltic and Scandinavian allies still have a lot of fighting left to do.

Russia is Russia ...

but Germany our ally form EU and NATO ?

We will see what will happen.

Well Russia and Germany are paying...so what!

WHY German and Russia want to pay more ? Why you want to build project dangerous for enviroment. Why do you want to have more expenisve gas in Germany ?

Why it is woth it? what kind of profits are you going to have ?

We could take the money Russia and Germany saves since they don't have to pay Poland anymore for using their territory for the over-land-pipeline! (It's alot) :)

you talk like that on PF, but firstly we want to know everything. It is not about money

as to economical aspects we all know that this project is more expenisve than this build througth land.

russiaprofile.org/page.php?pageid=Business+New+Europe&articleid=a1201166714]

According to many experts, the cost of the building the Nord Stream pipeline under the Baltic Sea would be about three times more expensive than an overland pipeline like Amber

However, experts like Alan Riley of the Centre for European Policy Studies in Brussels argue the cost of the pipeline will inevitably soar from the current estimates to €10 billion and even as high as €15 billion because the project was approved without basic issues like the condition of the seabed along which the pipe will run being examined. Experts say the Gulf of Finland is uneven and the costs of its levelling will be huge. "In order to earn back that €10 to 15 billion, the gas will have to be sold very expensively.

It's meeting particular resistance from Estonia and Sweden. Nord Stream submitted an application on December 21 to the Swedish government for the pipeline's route through Swedish waters, but a recent poll found that 70 percent of Swedish members of parliament oppose the project. In the same statement accompanying the application, Nord Stream admitted the date when the pipeline will start shipping gas from Russia to Germany has been pushed back to 2011, missing the original 2010 start date. Nord Stream still hopes to start building the 1,200-kilometre gas pipeline in mid-2009. With Finland's move, that date is almost certain now to be missed too.

AND IT IS DANGEROUS FOR NATURAL ENVIROMENT.

The fact is that it isn't only business between Germans and Russians.

We need to sit down take experts, make analises, check all possible technologies.

I am not expert and you are not expert.

I have seen different opinions about this weapons... it is serious issue and we need to discusse it. If something goes wrong ... you know what kind of money WE (Poles Swedes Germans, Estonians) are going to lose.

Who is going to pay for it ? What kind of money ? If we realy need to build it throught balitc ?
