History / The Two Saddest Nations on Earth... Poles and Jews [171]

Please, if you mean it, if you think the rift between Poles and Jews should be mended, post below

Of course, the rift between Poles and Jews should be mended. I read that about 10% of Poles living in Poland have a Jewish blood and they do not know it.

Travel / Visiting - Mazury? what else besides the obvious? [15]

It's well visited by Germans

You are correct about the Germans. The last time I visited Elk, Poland, in 2008, I stayed in a hostel/B&B where Germans were also staying. The owner of the hostel remarked to me and to one of the Germans that we both were born in Elk and we are citizens of different counties.

Language / what's the difference between... "spierdalaj" vs "wypierdalaj" [6]

it should be
"spierdalaj" and "wypierdalaj"

the word wpierdalaj also exists. it means (you implied) f...k devour (as in food)
where spierdalaj means (you implied) get the f...k away.
the word wypierdalaj means (you implied) get the f...k out.

Real Estate / Making an offer for Polish houses [30]

Exercise some common sense.
Check what similar properties sold for during the last six months.
Check how much it would cost you to build a similar property.
Check to see if the number of sales and the sales prices are doing down, up or sideways.
Decide what would be a reasonable price to pay for the property and how long are you going to say in the property. Only them make a decision. Property prices are determined by a supply and demand. Sometime, both are out of balance. It is possible, even in Poland, for home prices to go down. The economic problems in Europe, with Greece, Spain, etc., might adversely affect Poland; since, the country does not exist in a vacuum.

Love / Polish poem suggestions to get my girl back [21]

Lulu is a great, beautiful Polish poem that I knew long time ago. It is a poem about a guy who is longing for his wife who died.

Does anyone remember the words???

Polonia / Polonia in Uruguay [30]

Mlosiewicz,
That is a nice Polish last name :).

Can you tell me the cost of:
1. an average house in Montevideo and Punta del Este
2. utilities - gas, electric etc.
3. food
4. medical insurance

I understand that there is a Polish church in Montevideo?
What kind of jobs are available to foreigners in Montevideo?

Thanks

Life / Why do majority of Polish are afraid to admit their nationality? [28]

After few more encounters like this I've realized it's very common.

You had few encounters or met few Poles who either were afraid to admit that they were Polish or maybe they just did not wish speak with you. With your limited experience and intellect you can not make such broad generalizations.

Life / Polish (in comparison to English and Indian) have amazing culture [71]

I am not from India, but I understand most marriages in India are arranged.
I do not understand why you are naming calling cumbriadude and saying negative things about Polish women. You were probably dumped by Polish women, after they realized what kind of losers you were.

Too much tiki-taka does the child a malaka.(a masturbator) as we say in Greece.

I understand that you guys in Greece have sex with each other and are into anal sex.

Love / I don't know if she's married and I don't speak Polish - help me romantic folks [55]

f you want to impress Polish lady, don't use Polish language in her presence, you'd better play a role of rich foreigner... But if you really must do it, choose one of these options:

1) Chcesz się bzykać? (khtzesh s-ye bsikatz?)
2) Twoje krągłe kształty doprowadzają mnie do ekstazy (I am too lazy to transliterate it)
3) Ile bierzesz za szybki numerek? (eele b-ye-zesh sa sheebkee noo-merek)

hector,
Here is the translation of purprlewolf suggestions.
1. Do you want to have sex?
2. Your curves bring me to ecstasy.
3. Let's do a quickie.

My best advice is not to follow purplewolf's advice.

Just do what you do in your country. Also, get yourself a Polish-English dictionary and learn some words.

UK, Ireland / No job unless you're Polish [201]

Bull crap my friend. There are employers in US who require you to speak spanish for certain positions and nobody is ******** about discrimination. So what's up with that?If they were smart they would learn polish and become menagers.

I am a Pole living in Arizona, US. Yes, in US, sometimes employers prefer to hire people who speak Spanish. This practice creates resentment and animosity. I support the Brits. They should have an equal opportunity to compete for jobs. They are being discriminated against in their own country BY THEIR OWN PEOPLE. In the past, England was a great power; it has now become a namby-pamby.

When will the Brits elect politicians with with balls?

The EU is on the verge of doing away with visa restrictions on Turkish citizens. Their GNP is less than that of Mexico. Theres 70 million of them.
Give me the Mexicans anyday over the poles and turks.

I wish that Mexicans that live in Arizona would move to where you live.
