The nomination of General Flynn as national security advisor to D Trump is interesting and maybe a little worrying for Poland. He used to appear regularly as an analyst on RT and attended in 2015 a gala dinner in Moscow in honor of the channel, sitting at the same table as V Putin..

Trump is wonderful for America and Russia is wonderful for Russians. What's wrong with it?

Looking forward to the first meeting of the quatuor of "strong men" (Trump, Putin, Xi Jinping and Erdogan), it will be fun. Is Merkel now the real leader of the free world?? And what is the reaction by the Polish govt to the US election outcome?

Trump will accommodate the reintegration of former parts of the Russian Empire such as the Baltic States and Poland.

But Polonia (especially US based Polonia) pushed for a Trump victory. Are you saying that they were desperately misguided?

You are onto something there. While Poles (certainly the older generation) have manners and finesse, more than in the West, it is also my experience that that things need to be said more "in their face" for them to understand.

My universe is the real one, where Russia is a country with a deep and admirable culture, but where unfortunately the individual counts for nothing. A country that only knows one type of behaviour, that of the bully; a country that only knows one type of relationship with its neighbours, a relationship based on fear/ force. Now it's 5072 users who have given a weighted average vote of 1.1 / 10. Must be a really crappy movie.

I am not at all in favour of the conspirationnists' theories (either that the crash was caused by the Russians, or Crow's very own, that the crash was caused by Poland's NATO allies) but I find this 1.1/10 score way too low not to be suspicious, especially when the lowest ranked of IMDB bottom 100 films scores 1.5..

It is a shocking story Chemi. I honestly think that people who passed their tests in Poland should not be allowed on UK roads.

Are you saying that British drivers never use their phone while driving?? This is unfortunately a habit seen in every country and punishment should be much harsher for people caught phoning/texting and driving. They could for example be banned from driving and also from having a mobile phone for a period of time.

Impatience seems to be more of a factor than anything.

Or rather impulsivity which is unfortunately a part of many Poles' character..

If it's a check for 80 USD, leave it at the bottom of your suitcase. Chances are that if you deposit it with a Polish bank, they will charge you a substantial portion of the face value in fees for processing and clearing it!

Thanks Dolno for the link in German, which indeed confirms what Polly wrote. I hope they manage to find another cinema for the screening. However controversial the film might be (it is a pure guess, I haven't seen it), it should be allowed on screen..

In my book, no one, even when discussing with an opponent one despises, should promise things they cannot/knowingly won't deliver. It is a question of self respect (my word is my bond). Furthermore, I am not a specialist but I doubt the police act as you describe. Don't you think that promising things which are not delivered subsequently would backfire massively , ie that would critically diminish police credibility in future critical situations hence make them ineffectual?
