Travel / Rihanna complains about lack of privacy on Polish beach [150]

Why does it emphasize her ethnicity and that of her minders/bodyguard so much and so often.
Her race and that of the people in her entourage has nothing to do with the incident.

It's not quite irrelevant though. Some Poles are very racist hence why they may have been staring at her. Sure, it had more to do with celebrity status but I don't think the writer is at fault. Some people in Poland (especially those living in villages) may have never even seen a black person before!

Maybe you're just showing your age Harry:)

Na, Harry is right. Her music sucks but I'd definitely plow her.

Compared to a place like USA there is no racism in Poland whatsoever.

Per capita, Poles are a lot more likely to be racist and anti-Semitic than Americans. Please don't say ********. I've met many Polish immigrants and so many of them were prejudice.

And that makes them racist?

No...

Anyway, I think most guys were interested in Rihanna's ass. (The non-racist portion anyway)

Life / How are electric cars doing in Poland? [413]

It all depends where you get your electricity from. Yes, the production of electric cars is pretty bad for the environment but in the end, you more than make up for it by driving it for years.

Over 90% of Polish power is generated through coal fired plants, coal fired power plants are the biggest source of man made CO2 emissions. This makes coal energy the single greatest threat facing our climate.

Is the EU going to be useful and actually do something about that?

Love / Are Polish girls better cooks? [45]

have the Polish women you have known been better cooks than their peers in the US or the West in general?

Well...the problem with Polish women (and men) is that many of them don't know how to cook anything outside of Polish food. The Polish diet has way too much red meat and sodium.

People, we as humans need to finally understand that red meat and too much sodium are very bad for you. (For the smart asses, you only need about 500 mg of sodium per day. It's a necessary electrolyte but it's not needed in large amounts).

Pork is definitely red meat as defined by many agricultural organizations.

Ham, bacon, and Polish sausage are widely consumed by Poles. These are not healthy at all.

Also, in my experience, Polish food does seem more salty than other homemade food I've tried.

Yes, that is why I asked him this question. :):):)

So now all of a sudden countries no longer have cuisines that have distinctive traits? This site is interesting.

What is "Polish sausage"?

A certain way Poles make sausage. German sausages do taste different from Polish ones me thinks.

They taste the same from where I'm sitting, 100 miles from the border.

Yeah, German bratwursts taste the same as Polish-style sausages. :-\

Italian pasta salads taste the same as ham-filled pierogi too.

Unglaublich!

But in Poland there are numerous varieties: śląska, krakowska, toruńska,

But these are unique to Poland, no?

Well you have to understand the Howard Stern show isn't appropriate for family audiences. The reason she was called that was because she loved big penis. She could not be satisfied by tiny schmeckles or even average ones. She deep throated a huge sausage during the Howard Stern show. I don't think she was Polish American but she did love kielbasa.

Love / I love a Polish girl, but I don't want her to drink [37]

Most Christian sects view drunkenness as a sin (which is what that verse is referring to). That does not mean you can't drink alcohol at all.

Nice attempt at trolling. Anyway, I'm out of here. I need to get to work. I'm not an unemployed bum collecting welfare.

I do not know why the Polish attack me here?

I don't really see anyone attacking you here. You're spreading false information and we're simply correcting you. It's clear that you value Islam a lot but try to keep that to yourself. Islam and Christianity are not the same religions. Christianity is based on the fulfillment of Jewish messianic prophecies.

By the way, not everyone here is Polish.

Azzam, Europe is a mockery of Christianity. Bible is against drinking.

Learn to read. The Bible says nothing about drinking alcohol being sinful. Being drunk and simply having a drink are two different things. Those churches that celebrate the Eucharist even give out wine.

I'm assuming the guy's wife is a Roman Catholic which even further proves my point. Drinking wine symbolizes the Blood of Christ which is very important in the RCC.

Love / I love a Polish girl, but I don't want her to drink [37]

Learn to know. That which you call wine today has a very different composition from wine at the time of Jesus. That had a very low percentage of alcohol

What's your point? They still drank alcohol. The low alcohol content doesn't prove anything in your favor. We've already established that getting drunk is sinful.

Azzam, don't listen to those pervert drunkards who explain things according to their liking.

I actually rarely get drunk and when I do, it's accidental. I'm a moderate drinker. According to studies, moderate drinkers are healthier than those who don't drink at all. Science is a *****, huh?

Love / Polish women care about traditional values [34]

Based on my observations, I would agree. I think in general western countries are more socially progressive which is why in places like the US, UK, Germany, and France, women have less of a desire to be housewives. I would also have to say western women are less excited about having children. Just my observations though. No need to rustle your jimmies over them.

Not something that fills my stomach. So I usually do the cooking, especially as I like good Italian/Asian food. Polish girls I met have no idea how to cook this ;)

I totally agree here man. I could never live without Italian or Asian food.

Love / Polish women are the most beautiful in the world! [1718]

Emily Ratajkowski: From Wiki....

I think the big boobies come from her English side.

Polish women are the fattest in Eastern Europe

Yeah, I agree (even though technically Poland is in Central Europe). I've been to Ukraine and Russia and I thought the people in general were thinner than most Poles. That does not mean all Poles are fat though. :-)

Life / Professional feminists' of Poland meet-up [631]

In fact, many feminists have written that logic is sexist. The same goes for "accountability" or the lack of it.

Yes, the pseudofeminists do say that. Another funny thing pseudofeminists say is that multiple choice exams are sexist because men are more willing to take risks...

Anyway, a fine line needs to be drawn between feminism and pseudofeminism. The latter unfortunately sheds a negative light on the feminist movement. Feminists need to take more initiative to criticize the pseudofeminists. Especially those particular idiots that blame white Christian men for helping to oppress "poor Muslims" by supporting Israel's right to exist.

Genealogy / DNA Testing in Poland. Is it popular? [81]

Merged: What is the best site for genealogical DNA testing?

As the thread title asks, what's the best site for genealogical DNA testing and why? 23andme.com? Ancestry.com? Familytreedna.com?

Awesome thread Pawian. I love your logic. In the United States, we have Black History Month therefore nobody in America hates black people. :-\

Law / I have recently been scammed in Poland. My company accounts frozen. [58]

The Polish law, bureaucracy, incompetence of employees, tons of paper work and unnecessary procedures are a huge embarasment for this country.

Yes, the Poles I've met seem to mention this quite a lot as a reason why they're glad to live in America.

History / If Poles were antisemitic, would they ...? [240]

of course some Poles are anti-semites (some of every nation are utter morons); however, most Poles frankly couldn't give a toss whether somebody is Jewish or not.

I would still have to say anti-Semitism is more significant in Poland than in most other European countries.

Couldn't you make this sentence any less comprehensible?

I sometimes wish the moderators would instantly ban anyone who doesn't post in proper English. This is an English language forum. I expect posts that are understandable in that language.

Life / Why Polish people are fat ? [81]

Bollocks. You never visited Poland.

I actually have to agree with him. I visited Poland not that long ago and I would say encountering overweight/obese people was a much more common sight than it was 14 years ago.

The fattening of a country's people is not something unique to Poland though.

Life / Why Polish people are fat ? [81]

It is true Poles are getting fatter but when you do see fat people in Poland they tend to be old.

I disagree. If anything, there seems to be more overweight people among younger demographics.

This is up to date. UN's FAO and WHO quote the same data, from the same year (no fresher statistics are available, I guess). What reason do you have to question their methodology?

What you have to understand is that on this forum, you can't dare to say Poles are not perfect. Poles are always right. There is no such thing as a fat Pole. There is no such thing as a racist/anti-Semitic Pole. Any survey/study showing otherwise is to be automatically dismissed.

Life / Why Polish people are fat ? [81]

Its directly linked to the food quality of a now capitalist country.

As someone who lives in the US, I will say it's definitely possible to buy cheap healthy organic food.

Let's not blame capitalism just because some people don't take care of themselves.

Work / Electrician seeking work in Warsaw. Is it in demand in Poland? [16]

I know of someone who runs an engineering firm in the Warsaw area. If you are trained to use an oscilloscope and power meter for analyzing motor-driven machines, I could ask if they are looking for someone. Your job would pretty much consist of reporting any data you find and reporting it to the engineers in excel format.

News / CO2 emissions in Poland. Should Poland go nuclear or stick with clean coal technologies? [59]

^I wonder how long it would take before the cost of building a wind farm is made up for.

I do find it impressive however that a single wind turbine can produce 7 megawatts of electricity at full capacity. So potentially, if just one wind turbine was working at full capacity for an entire year (not a realistic assumption), it could produce over 22 million MWh of energy.
