Life / The Polish Dream - move out from Poland as fast as possible [73]

There is a shortage of jobs. Why is there a shortage? Because during the War, the Nazis/Soviets came in and robbed and closed a good portion of the Polish industries. The rest were sold to Westerners after the war by greedy Poles. Poland doesn't produce anything anymore.

And the reason immigrants give their native country a bad name is because those that immigrant weren't the most educated etc. They go overseas because they have no other choice.

History / What do Poles think about Turks? [761]

Looks/stares = Yes
Verbal abuse = Probably not, would be in Polish
Physical abuse = Unlikely especially if you avoid known troubled areas (Poles fight each other)

You'll be fine. Anything physical would be a random act of violence and wouldn't matter your skin color OR you are at a location (bar) where there is trouble

USA, Canada / Polish friends, what would be your preferred US state/city to live in? [17]

Everything in the USA comes down to $$$.

Doesn't really matter which state or even city because each town has it's own disparity in quality. For example: multiple schools

The coasts usually cost more than Island. Mid-America is the safest but no large cities. Downtown city life in the USA is dangerous and expensive.

Life / Conflicting views about life in Poland? [45]

Poland has an ignorant fascination with the West. Judging life quality based on what they see on television. Some buy into Western propaganda that multiculturalism and mixed raced people are superior and since that doesn't exist in Poland....

Can't blame Poles for moving to other European nations since Europe is the pinnacle of human life

USA, Canada / To move back to Poland from the USA or not to move back....that is the question [119]

Many people have moved back to Poland or went to other parts of Europe.

Spot on post. IMO, if you aren't wealthy or non-white then Europe has the higher standard of living for you.

Especially if you have or plan on having children on the way, USA is a rotting society centered around manipulating people. You will fight an uphill battle raising a child being told by everyone around them that selfish individualism is the way to happiness. If you treasure more to life and want to have grand children down the line that you are proud of....you know where to go. And let's be honest, if things don't work out then there will be a lonely home in a gated community in the USA waiting for your return.

Language / IS "MURZYN" word RACIST? [686]

Good point Legend. I guess the rule I always use is how would you describe the individual out of a group of people. In that sense why not use the simple black? I think this notion always makes it safe when it comes to ethnicity like the point you made.

Language / IS "MURZYN" word RACIST? [686]

Merged: Is using "Murzyn" politically correct in Poland?

Why not just use "black"? Wikipedia states

According to the Dictionary of the Polish Language, 'murzyn' means somebody with black skin. Informally, it can also mean:
Somebody anonymously doing work for somebody else;
Somebody with a dark brown tan;
A hard working person forced to do hard labour.

This leads me to assume murzyn is the rough equivalent of negro? So using czarny is more correct

Language / Should I learn Polish or she learn English? [83]

Smurf is right

Ultimately her learning English will occur much easier than you learning Polish. I've seen people learn English from watching television and movies. Another aspect people ignore is that there are sooooo many variations of English. British, American, Australian, even in the USA alone you have different styles and accents. So expectations and standards are very low. English is basically the immigrant language. This just isn't the case with Polish but fortunately it is changing and you will receive nothing but encouragement and help from Poles seeing you try.

Genealogy / I am looking for an African guy in Krakow, I dated [73]

@Amathyst

The point is that only a female willing to sleep with an African would also sleep with a guy after 2 dates without knowing his name, location or background

Love / What do Polish women think of Italian/Native American men? [23]

Difference is:

As White, I am able to tan and have olive skin in the summer & spring. As a non White, you will be looked upon as peasant skinned in many cultures. Plus having light hair and light eyes with tan skin is unbeatable.

Genealogy / I am looking for an African guy in Krakow, I dated [73]

I can't take the OP seriously at all. you know a guy for 2 weeks and sleep with him?

Correction. She was impregnated after 2 weeks. Based on her actions, I'm fairly certain she slept with him the 1st or 2nd time they met. He spotted a sucker

Love / Polish women: what do you think of Polish men? Physically unattractive? [180]

Are you guys really comparing Poland to other wealthier nations in terms of how much the men spend on their clothes, hair, makeup whatever? I can proudly say atleast Polish men are in great physical shape compared to the rest of the continent. Maybe if Western Europe didn't sit around while we were battling Germany/Russia AND then let us be occupied for 50 years, this wouldn't be the case.

Almost everything you guys mention is simply wealth, nothing else. This simplistic life style is why Polish women are treasured around the world.

[quote=FlaglessPole]What similarities do Spain/Italy share?
- Warm weather
- Vacation destination
- Jobless rate

All those aspects help fuel the perception. If Spain was cloudy and raining, the perception would also be different. If Poland had beaches with men laying around all day tanning.....perception would be different.
