Thanks for all that info but I am pretty well aware of the side effects and health risks. I just wanted to get a few months more before I go back to Canada later this year, where I will visit my doctor. I get very regular checkups..so being on Yasmin isn't the question I am asking but whether I can get it in this country (I don't want to switch brands without talking to my doctor). I liked the pink link the best (marketing to women is oh so easy) haha.

I have been taking it for the last 3-4 years without any issues. It was prescribed to me by my doctor in Canada. I wasn't aware it was discontinued in Europe since it is available in Canada.

Does anyone know if the contraceptive pill Yasmin 21 is available in Poland? It's a Bayer product so I was hoping it would be. Please let me know so I can avoid an expensive visit to the doctor if it is not available. Thanks!

Love / INTERACIAL DATING WITH POLISH.... ( my dilema) [8]

I've dating a Polish man for about 18 months now. He's great and yes, he likes the fact that I am brown. I have met his family and everyone was very nice to me. Maybe some older family member might say something out of ignorance or racism but I haven't seen it yet. One of his polish friends is actually impressed that he is with an ethnic girl. So it's probably just your boyfriend's friends are jerks and he was just experimenting. I find most polish men are close to their families/mothers so the fact that he never wanted you to meet her is a big red flag.

Hopefully you find a nice, gorgeous guy who doesn't act like a child!

haha no, I am Canadian :p I just love pumpkin pie and pumpkin soup (pumpkin anything) this time of year. I will check those places out, thanks

Hmm, I might have to look harder for pumpkins. I prefer the real thing over canned but I live only by a Carrefour so I might have to try to find a market.

Does anyone know where I can find canned pumpkin in Warsaw? I think I missed out on the actual pumpkin season and I wanted to make some pies and soup. I haven't found anything at Carrefour. Would piotr i pawel or tesco have it??

Work / Is it possible to get work in Warsaw that pays under the table? [7]

Hi,

I am a 25yo Canadian woman studying in Warsaw. I am going to take polish language classes but thought working would also help me stay social, meet polish, practice the few phrases I know etc. Does anyone know if it is possible for me get work that pays under the table and how I can go about this? Working in a restaurant or something would be what I am aiming for, nothing too glamourous. Anyone have experience finding work like this?

Life / English-speaking Health Clinic in Warsaw area? [7]

Hi everyone,

does anyone know of any health clinics in the Warsaw area where the staff speaks english? Not a lot, but enough to communicate the basics. I need to get a health certificate and would like a check-up. I looked online and have only found LIM medical centre so far. Anyone heard of/used them? Thanks in advance!

I'm in Praga Polnoc. I really love Szynka and fresh cuts of meat when I cook. Same with veggies. So I am hoping to not go to a supermarket for such things haha I will take a look around today.

Hmm, I have been wandering around a fair bit but have yet to see anywhere that sells meat. Just mainly a lot of restaurants, and small convenience stores. I was hoping there was a particular name or place to look for. I'll keep wandering haha

Travel / Warsaw delis (ham, chicken)? [12]

Hello,

I just recently moved from Vancouver to Warsaw for University. I have only been here a little less than a week and was wondering if anyone knows of good places to get meat? Mainly I am looking for a deli or somewhere to get chicken and ham (Szynka). I went to the carrefour on Targowa and was not too excited of the idea of buying meat there.

If anyone has any places they recommend, I would appreciate it. Thanks!
