Apteka / birthcontrol available in Poland?

Does anyone know if the contraceptive pill Yasmin 21 is available in Poland? It's a Bayer product so I was hoping it would be. Please let me know so I can avoid an expensive visit to the doctor if it is not available. Thanks!

Yaz and Yasmin were both discontinued in most parts of Europe this January, due to concerns about blood clots. There's a class-action lawsuit pending against Bayer Pharmaceuticals here in the United States. I'm not sure if it's specifically been banned in Poland, but if you are not planning on regular visit to a gyno there, I would avoid taking something that necessitates close monitoring.

I have been taking it for the last 3-4 years without any issues. It was prescribed to me by my doctor in Canada. I wasn't aware it was discontinued in Europe since it is available in Canada.

It's been on the FDA sh1t-list for years.

Thanks for all that info but I am pretty well aware of the side effects and health risks. I just wanted to get a few months more before I go back to Canada later this year, where I will visit my doctor. I get very regular checkups..so being on Yasmin isn't the question I am asking but whether I can get it in this country (I don't want to switch brands without talking to my doctor). I liked the pink link the best (marketing to women is oh so easy) haha.

You need a prescription for birth control pills. If you slip the doctor an extra 50zl she'll give you one for 12 months instead of just the normal 3 months.

Yeah, that's what I look for in a health care provider. An openness to bribery.

Never done that and hopefully never will. My doctor gives 6 months prescriptions but then you have to see him.

I have no idea really. I heard once that it's the same but I can't guarantee it.

They are all drespirenone mixed with different amounts of estrogen.
