USA, Canada / Do Poles in the US come to Burningman? [31]
And before yall make your assumptions about it thank you lenka and feniks?? yes celebrities go to it well i mean are yall stupid duhhh its 80K people there its the busiest hospital in the u.s for the week and most busy private airport. We have xray and ultrasound and a full pharmacy. Its free medical out there, but there isnt a like celebrity lineup placing its all a Suprise once you're our there, there is no money. You cant buy antyhing out there. If you wanna go reach out i'll reach out and lets go together!!

Well i just have to say that clearly yall are like retarded about what burning man actually is... and just to let you know i'm a born Polak and yes i do attend Burningman and have for like 8 years now working as a medical volunteer for it. its all what you make of it.
anyway this year we met a lot of Swedish people at the festival and it was awesome they were so awesome to talk to!

Life / Is it common in Poland for multiple people to share a burial site? [4]
So is it common for people to be in a grave together if they die within a few days of each other? I've never heard of this happening in the U.S
Quite common. There is also the tradition to book a mass for the anniversary too

Okay so I'm in krakow for the next week.
Are there any festivals that you know of with like handmade art and stuff going on in krakow or surrounding towns and cities?
Where is the best place to buy some polish pottery (my mom.collects it)
Where would locals buy amber? Are the prices in the square in krakow a rip off or are they fair?
Anyone know of any rock shops for buying rocks for jewelry that aren't already set and drilled??

Ill be in Slovakia for 5 days near the Tatras then Krakow for a week. Looking for what the most beautiful trails are?? I have a drone for amazing pics. I can hike up to like 18 miles or a so and have no issues doing several thousand feet in altitude!!! Give me suggestions please!! Thank you!!! Or if there is an amazing hike within like 2 or so hours from krakow i'd be down for that also since I have a car!

Polonia / Almost not allowed in Sweden without my Polish passport. [2]
So last August I was in Sweden and I almost wasn't allowed in.... I had just gone to 13 other countries in the weeks prior and 20 countries just last year and yet they kept asking me for my polish passport. I'm a dual citizen with the U.S. I don't have a polish passport. I had an appointment to get one but now with covid it got cancelled to renew it. I have to drive 9 hours to go to the closest polish embassy. But how come Sweden wouldn't stop asking me for it. I had my U.S passport but the guy wouldn't stop saying I was born in Poland and I needed my polish passport. I just kept saying sorry I don't have one. Is this normal? Like i said in the past year ive been to over 20 countries and have never had a problem. Will I need to travel with both passports from now on once I get it? Has anyone had this problem before?

Yea germans can barely get by with their english. But we still enjoyed our time and a friend helped us on the phone telling us where to go. I feel like they know english about as well as taking a course of it in high school maybe and almost never using it since.
English naturally is taught everywhere, however, it doesn't necessarily mean that it's used or understood with equal precision.

I personally don't really know enough poles to make a call on this I Know some pretty damn hot poles though, although i'm sure there are always ugly ones to go along. But from what I hear as in things like if I were to go to Poland I would get a lot of comments on my teeth, because they are are so white and clean which I hear isn't exactly a top issue for those in Europe. this is just what I hear so don't go hating on me lol idk if it is true

Alright well whatever No I did not grow up with money, i've grown up middle upper-middle class.
Higher minimum wage means some job loss meaning higher prices meaning a decrease in demand not an increase.
But I hope that you do realize that this will not really affect the poverty rate at all either. I just did a research fact sheet on the cut down of unemployment benefits. So maybe instead of raising the minimum wage by 40% in most states they should put some money back into other programs that will help those who are unemployed.

It doesn't help the economy when Wal Mart pays so low that the workers qualify for food stamps. That's a huge subsidy for business and contradicts the "Free Market".

You do understand though that if you increase minimum wage and the inflation rate increases by the same rate then your buying power will be exactly the same....thus you haven't changed a thing.
Now I can see increasing the minimum rate by like 2$ sure but what they are talking about is doubling it, I sure hope that then all those on salaries get to see their incomes go up 100%

Raising minimum wage wouldnt change anything inflation will raise right with it and so will the price of goods......... W/P Increases then so does the price of good.
The production cost curve wouldnt allow for prices to stay low with an increase in wage prices.
Plus if the cost per worker goes up well then their productivity better also go up, so it would either have to be an increase in productivity by the current workers, or a reduced amount of workers making the same amount that they are currently working, either way their productivity must go up
Plus you also must consider that while raising the minimum wage may help students and young workers...... Full time employees wont be seeing an increase like that within their salaries, so you will be increasing the cost of production for many manufactures and suppliers but buying power and real income of most of the working people. If anything this would really help people on like gov programs because the CPI would increase allowing them more money to buy things like groceries

1. Barszcz czerwony z uszkami - borscht with uszka (uszka are sth similar to pierogi, with a filling made of sauerkraut and mushrooms), it's a beetroot soup (and my favourite soup in general).
I love Barszcz we always have it but the addition of dumplings sounds great although i've never had mushrooms or sauerkraut before, the Chinese dumplings I tried a few weeks ago are alright.

Food / Polish Christmas Eve Dinner recipes [69]
Ahhhh yes I meant traditional by my fam which only my dad is part Polish so they just make what they like LOL. Yes thats why we have salmon also, but I would like to keep it to a real Polish dinner this year, so no meat at all right ehhhh
Doesnt matter i'm the only picky eater LOL We usually just do grilled salmon, But I wanna do Polish recipes. So they will like anything I make. But I dont know many polish recipes, and we Americanize any of the Polish things my mom makes. So I want the real recipes, we once did Polish bread that took 2 days to make, like that was fun.
Polish. Canadian. No kielbasa for a traditional wigilia. Golomki traditionally has meat as well.

Why not just cook food you know people will like? Try home made salmon fish cakes as a fish alternative to carp - do a classy buffet style - do whatever your family like sweetie xx

Food / Polish Christmas Eve Dinner recipes [69]
Alright iknow its kinda early but I'm in charge of doing our polish dinner on christmas eve. Plus candian thanksgiving is done now just for U.S then it'll be christmas in no time. And I wanna make it totaly differnt with many new foods. So what are your fav polish recipes to have on christmas eve??? Ill keep the traditional pierogi and keilbasa and such but I hate things like gumpki and crap nasty stuff. Anythin is welcome as the rest of my fam are total pigs and will eat anything.

Does it matter that Francisco Lachowski and some of the other's arent 100% polish, they still have some polish blood in them. And while yes clearly this HOT guy Francisco doesnt apply to every polish guy which is sad cause that would be nice. But as previously stated NOOOOO nation is filled with models and no nation is soley filled with ugly people. It's always going to be a mix.
