Hi,

I am looking for a wooden wall and door builder ASAP. I need to do a separation of my living room and my bedroom as well a hallway separation.

The guy who was supposed to do it does not answer the phone anymore. Therefore, I would like to know some people who can do it. Actually it is a house and the work is on the ground floor.

Much appreciated.

Love / Am I The Only One Who Doesn't Find Polish Women Attractive? [93]

Are you seriously saying you prefer British women over Polish ones?

Yes, I would!

British women have beter sense of individualism, better sense of humour, are more ambitious, and emotionally more stable while Polish women are very often a moody cows.

Spot on mate!

The British lack self confidence to be ambitious.

You must be joking. British ladies are way better educated and capable to build their own path towards success. We can't really see many women here in Poland or anywhere else in the world having a good position at work compared to British ladies, they have more self confidence. Honestly, I miss those times when my British lady manager use to command our floor compared to managers (both sex) from there. (no disrespect - just comparing).

Polish women are shrewd and ambitious and love to work.

Love to work yes.. but no ambition to go further ahead.. :(

Law / Food business in Poland - questions about license-permit food / alcohol certificate... [5]

1st question where would this be located your house

I was thinking to prepare my food at home, but the second reply said i cant.. So I will have to look for something.

Clients would be those who want to taste tropical flavours... So lets say tourists as well as people who like to have some snacks after/before few beers.

3rd which City should you chose to have it

City is Krakow.. full of tourists, students who will be able to afford tasty food.

Now my next question, how much would it cost me to rent a small place in Krakow? Something small as possible as I will mostly do take aways so just kitchen and selling space?

yes it's undoable if you want to do it from home, your kitchen will not meet sanitary standards set by SANEPID

I'll bear that in mind for sure.

Hi guys, Again i am approaching for the same advise as I had to accumulate some savings first. At the moment I have redefined my business idea.

I need to know if there is any Business Consultant in Krakow who can speak English and who are good in Food business.

Basically what I am trying to do is to:
1) Prepare snacks which is 80% to eat (only need to fry)
2) Those snacks will be sold frozen
3) I am willing to sell only to retailers.
4) No food will be sold to consume straight away
5) Location would be in Krakow.

What are the certifications I will need? How much will a Business Advisor cost me (appx)? Seems like Business Advisor is not popular here, but who can I contact to give me details and guide me exactly what I need to do (Legal Advisors maybe)?

Money and the plan is here. I just need to get the knowledge of the legal aspect of things to abide to the law.

Karl

Related: License in Poland (to sell alcohol)

Does the pubs need a license to sale alcohol ? Here in uk is hard to get this license , what about in Poland?

Depends where do you want it and the residents in that neighbourhood dont object to it or it will create a a ghetto hang out in the eyes of the officials(which can be changed!wink).Or a classy restaurant that wont attract flimsy crowd, otherwise it is easy:)

Love / Am I The Only One Who Doesn't Find Polish Women Attractive? [93]

No disrespect to anyone...

I don't find attractive Polish women

I love woman. But Polish women are attractive...maybe not 100% my type but they are. I'd prefer British chick over them..

Yet I couldn't find any Polish girl who is interested in or has an idea about those topics

Yes, this is quite common here. As most of them are pretty much interested about just what they know and dont want the opportunity to open up a bit more.

Law / Food business in Poland - questions about license-permit food / alcohol certificate... [5]

I would like to open a small food business which is foreign snack and does not need a lot of space, ingredients, time and other things. I will be preparing my food at my place in my kitchen. And I will be taking orders via the internet.

My questions-
What kind of license/permit do I need to take in order to have the permission to sale food to the public?
Do I need to follow any course, e.g. food and safety or have any certificate regarding my food?
Anything else I need to know?

Thank You

Love / What do you like most about Polish girls? :) [120]

a) More awareness about the world

Well, I am not sure about this...I have seen westerners having more to say regarding this.

b) Most are very natural - nothing plastic about them

LOL... true...

c) Read a lot - something very nice looking at beautiful women reading books during public transport

ahh! I think it is very easy for you to be conned by the Nigerian emails - O'h you won £1m... or something'
even a sl*t c can read a book! does that mean that you would have an affair with her? :O

Love / What do you like most about Polish girls? :) [120]

iiiiiiii love the accent ! it is adorabbbleee :)

You mean its funny to hear their accent! :P

They look amazing + hardly any fatties

Depends! I love a bit of meat on my plate! And some bouncing cleavage and some cute bum!

"Good" girls - they don't sleep around

they do. Know how to seduce them. ;)

They cook and clean haha

I cook better than 95% of the people I've met so far. And could confirm being more hygienic than those who's given me a chance to compare.

hmmm oh yeah and they are smart (really) I have met a lot of really educated girls with a lot to say

Depends on your educational level. Or people you have met before. for me they clearly can't compete with girls from the western part of Europe.

They look to me family oriented

True that! :)

the one about cooking and cleaning. It's the 21st century, that's not what women are for!

He was just explaining. He didnt say that he want them as his maids! If a woman is living alone, does it mean that she is not allowed to clean and cook...

Sorry for not being a gentleman, I like it rough

Life / What is the best platform to sell items in Poland? [17]

Ebay doesn't let Polish citizens to sell just for Polish market

So it means that if I place an item on eBay.pl to sell, I don't need to place it on ebay.co.uk?

It's worth keeping Amazon in mind too

Yeah, but in Amazon, the procedures to sell is a bit complicated. And my items are not really electronics, rather textiles/ garments.

Life / What is the best platform to sell items in Poland? [17]

[Moved from]: Ebay.pl v Allegro.pl - Which one would people in Poland trust more?

Hello.

If you are in Poland, which one would you consider to buy it from? Whats the traffic for these two sites? Does Allegro has more customers than ebay.pl? And the diffenrence between the costs (incurred by the seller- without selling an item and after an item has been sold)?

Which one would people in Poland trust more and/ or do more business with?

Thanks

Life / Do Poles have a problem understanding American English? [76]

from friends and people I've met around (all polish)- no one likes American English - and their American accent! they all prefer British English... both accent, way of writing, and Oxford dictionary! ;) same as the rest of the world...

Even they find both difficult- 'American English and 'British English'! As Poland is more influenced by US, so they don't have much opportunities to learn the real English! otherwise, no one in Poland would even bother to listen to what they nowadays call - 'american english'

Love / Questions about Polish Men - flirting, cheating, liking? [44]

well, so many times ive been clubbing and I can say that I've met few ladies who like to have 'fun' when they are out despite the fact that they are married or in a relationship with someone. I have many friends who are foreigners like me, and get many ladies for a night stand or just kissing and all that!

Work / After Masters in Management, Job Opportunities in Poland ? [34]

but even after obtaining your Masters, you will have extreme difficulty in finding a job.

Well, this is true! I am not a Masters degree holder nor I am with a bag of experience, but I work in a team of around 60 people and I can tell you that I have 60-70% of them who got a Master degree, no offence, but from some Polish universities in Krakow, and we do the same job, earn more or less the same amount of money.

i can tell you that from my colleagues, they said that their degree doesn't have a reputation outside Poland which is a shame. So think well. In my case, I am personally not studying in Polish university even that I am living in Poland. I am studying on my own and would do my exams in UK as I know that I would stand a better chance globally.

yeah, IT is booming in Poland

I admit it!

I have a Master degree in science from a good Swedish university and bachelor from a British university.

I think outside Poland, your degrees will be given the respect they deserve mate!

Law / Advice needed on access rights and alimony payments regarding my Polish daughter [28]

For sure not. A foreigner living outside Poland against a polish mother and daughter living in Poland? Never.

Look mate, if you have money and time to spend, you can win the case, might be you will have to stretch it to European court, I am not a lawyer, but I do understand the treatment of 'equality'! given that you can prove that she is not going to be a good mum!
