Law / Annual Leave allocation - labour law in Poland [8]

Hello, I am working for a company in Poland. I am quitting my job on 31.08.2016 and for now I have 26 annual leaves for 2016.
As I am leaving don't I get all those days to take with me or should they not pay me the 26 days for this year or the remaining days out of those 26 days for 2016?

Please advise.

Life / Places to buy a decent suit in Warsaw [16]

Could be! Along with quality and carefully designed suit. Instead of inflated, poor tailor-made low quality fabric suit in Poland. :)

Life / Places to buy a decent suit in Warsaw [16]

Yeah - I tried to spend hours with google and managed to get some contacts but the price is still way above what I am ready to spend! I think I will need to increase mt budget. Sometimes in villages you will find gem.

Merged: Wedding suit in Poland - Where can I get what I am looking for as a groom

Dears,
I am getting married in 4 months. I am in big dilemma as I need a wedding suit just as you can see the the image I have uploaded. I have tried a lot of places in Krakow and the prices are ridiculously sky high! I don't want the normal typical suit as a personal choice.

Do you know any tailor or any shop in Krakow or just in the nearby counties (Slaskie, Mazowieckie)?
The maximum I'd like to pay for this suit would be 2000PLN. Thank you.

switchvpn .net/order

try this! I assure you that you will like it! around $10/month! you can watch live TV channels for Poland, UK, Germany and others!

And you can use it on two laptops! means the cost could be halve!

If you have any question, you have the chat box, you can question them!

Let me know about your experience if ever you'll buy it! :)

Food / What are my chances if I open Grill of Serbian cuisine in Poland? [14]

What are my chances in Poland? People would like it?

You made me hungry man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! looking delicious!

I believe that your chances would be good if you do not try to make it 'too Polish' and stick strictly to the Serbian-way of doing it!

Only if I could afford to open a food snack... I'd be there too! :/

Law / Divorced from Polish wife. Can I get a Poland's passport? [3]

Thank for the first answer.

You cannot go through life marrying girls from France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain - all the countries in the world - and then expect that each country will give you a passport.

I did not say that I am going to marry everyone from there. Like I said, I don't want to be involved in marriage at the moment.

Thanking you in advance for sticking to the topic. :)

Work / HCL Krakow job offer, is 3700 PLN net enough to live on? [9]

one room apartment of 35- 45 m2 ? electricity, water usage, garbage, internet etc.

if you want to live in the heart of the city that would cost you atleast 1600PLN all inclusive.

But if you want to live like 10mins bus/ tram journey to the Mainsquare, that could cost you around 1400pln all inclusive. and you will have your own studio..

Visit gumtree.pl you can find studios there and you will get an idea.

Travelling is cheap here. 89zl for a monthly bus/tram pass all lines included. however, HCL is in zabierzow, so maybe an extra train ticket would be required.

Law / Divorced from Polish wife. Can I get a Poland's passport? [3]

Hi.
I have recently divorced from my ex wife. I would like to know if ever I could try and get a polish passport. I have lived around 2 years with her (one year in the UK and one year in Poland).

At the moment I am travelling a lot (business trip) and sometimes it is really a pain in the a*se for my employer to do some paper work in order to get me a visa to some countries in order to fulfil my duties where a European passport holder could easily go on my behalf.

I don't want to be kind of the black sheep and let the chance to work in different countries from time to time slip my hands.

I am currently with my fiancée for two years and don't want to get married because I know myself how painful it could be at some point and she agrees with me.

So I would like to know if I could get a polish passport or a permanent resident upon the fact that I was married for a bit more than two years with a Polish girl.

Thank you for your guidance (no silly comments please).

Karl

Love / Am I The Only One Who Doesn't Find Polish Women Attractive? [93]

Are you seriously saying you prefer British women over Polish ones?

Yes, I would!

British women have beter sense of individualism, better sense of humour, are more ambitious, and emotionally more stable while Polish women are very often a moody cows.

Spot on mate!

The British lack self confidence to be ambitious.

You must be joking. British ladies are way better educated and capable to build their own path towards success. We can't really see many women here in Poland or anywhere else in the world having a good position at work compared to British ladies, they have more self confidence. Honestly, I miss those times when my British lady manager use to command our floor compared to managers (both sex) from there. (no disrespect - just comparing).

Polish women are shrewd and ambitious and love to work.

Love to work yes.. but no ambition to go further ahead.. :(

Law / Food business in Poland - questions about license-permit food / alcohol certificate... [5]

1st question where would this be located your house

I was thinking to prepare my food at home, but the second reply said i cant.. So I will have to look for something.

2nd who would be your target clientele

Clients would be those who want to taste tropical flavours... So lets say tourists as well as people who like to have some snacks after/before few beers.

3rd which City should you chose to have it

City is Krakow.. full of tourists, students who will be able to afford tasty food.

Now my next question, how much would it cost me to rent a small place in Krakow? Something small as possible as I will mostly do take aways so just kitchen and selling space?

yes it's undoable if you want to do it from home, your kitchen will not meet sanitary standards set by SANEPID

I'll bear that in mind for sure.

Hi guys, Again i am approaching for the same advise as I had to accumulate some savings first. At the moment I have redefined my business idea.

I need to know if there is any Business Consultant in Krakow who can speak English and who are good in Food business.

Basically what I am trying to do is to:
1) Prepare snacks which is 80% to eat (only need to fry)
2) Those snacks will be sold frozen
3) I am willing to sell only to retailers.
4) No food will be sold to consume straight away
5) Location would be in Krakow.

What are the certifications I will need? How much will a Business Advisor cost me (appx)? Seems like Business Advisor is not popular here, but who can I contact to give me details and guide me exactly what I need to do (Legal Advisors maybe)?

Money and the plan is here. I just need to get the knowledge of the legal aspect of things to abide to the law.

Karl

Related: License in Poland (to sell alcohol)

Does the pubs need a license to sale alcohol ? Here in uk is hard to get this license , what about in Poland?

Depends where do you want it and the residents in that neighbourhood dont object to it or it will create a a ghetto hang out in the eyes of the officials(which can be changed!wink).Or a classy restaurant that wont attract flimsy crowd, otherwise it is easy:)

Love / Am I The Only One Who Doesn't Find Polish Women Attractive? [93]

No disrespect to anyone...

I don't find attractive Polish women

I love woman. But Polish women are attractive...maybe not 100% my type but they are. I'd prefer British chick over them..

Yet I couldn't find any Polish girl who is interested in or has an idea about those topics

Yes, this is quite common here. As most of them are pretty much interested about just what they know and dont want the opportunity to open up a bit more.

Law / Food business in Poland - questions about license-permit food / alcohol certificate... [5]

I would like to open a small food business which is foreign snack and does not need a lot of space, ingredients, time and other things. I will be preparing my food at my place in my kitchen. And I will be taking orders via the internet.

My questions-
What kind of license/permit do I need to take in order to have the permission to sale food to the public?
Do I need to follow any course, e.g. food and safety or have any certificate regarding my food?
Anything else I need to know?

Thank You

Study / Where in Poland can I obtain Certified Copies of foreign Educational certificates? [3]

Hi,

I need to send a certified copy of my educational certificate to a University in US. My studies were conducted in Mauritius but the certificates were issued by University of Cambridge. As I am in Poland now, I would like to know from where I can get to certify the copies of my original certificates which will prove that the copies are true and legal.

Thanks

Love / What do you like most about Polish girls? :) [120]

a) More awareness about the world

Well, I am not sure about this...I have seen westerners having more to say regarding this.

b) Most are very natural - nothing plastic about them

LOL... true...

c) Read a lot - something very nice looking at beautiful women reading books during public transport

ahh! I think it is very easy for you to be conned by the Nigerian emails - O'h you won £1m... or something'
even a sl*t c can read a book! does that mean that you would have an affair with her? :O

Love / Polish Man being with English Woman - he insists on paying for EVERYTHING [36]

Some day you can land up with this..
https://polishforums.com/love/support-partners-sister-boyfriend-69549/

he insists on paying for EVERYTHING, is very thoughtful and keen and has laid his cards on the table

there was one thread on this forum (I couldnt find it now)... The girl had similar situation like yours, she is a Brit and the guy was a Pole! the guy was nice in the early stage of the relationship and basically like doing everything, after few months, the guy took all her money and admitted that he has a kid and a wife back in Poland.

he paid me compliments that

Polish people dont really compliment others... be careful if he is doing so!

No offence to anyone. Koz everyone is different! But be careful of scammers! Specially in your situation- It happened lots of time and it would be difficult for you to find him if he ran away with everything you possess....He could be in Poland, Germany, Russia or anywhere! Ask for advise on Forums in Britain! here you will find people saying only good things about their compatriots! :)
