Food / Coffee in Poland: cheap and undrinkable / expensive and good [89]

Just go to the Nespresso shop on Nowy Swiat and you will find plenty of Poles that enjoy expresso

I'll be there soon :)

Look where coffee heaven have "expanded" to:

Maybe someone should fix that code, innit. lol :D

Food / What do non-Poles think about eating the following Polish foods? [1303]

would definitely not like!

I knew it! haha :D

another question, is it normal for polatsy to boil sausages? in england we fry or grill them. my lokator tried to get me to try his boiled sausages ( and i love kielbasa ) but boiled? cant remember name of them, but they were quite big. any ideas?

I (and my family) sometimes boil Wiejska/Krakowska/Śląska, etc. But I tend to grill mine these days. Never fry them though.

Polonia / Looking for Poles in Brussels, Belgium. [19]

Well I ve never lived in the UK to know about the situation there. I just compare it statisticly and by living there to rest of countries in Europe that I ve seen and I am telling you there is no comparison.

I used the link you provided to "compare it statistically" - to (as you instructed) "see the truth".

And guess what? Belgium is a lot safer than most of the world, so what on earth is this stuff about Belgian cities being the most crime-ridden in the world? It's nonsense, and everyone knows it!

FFS, London's one of the most dangerous places in Europe (and everyone knows that), but London is crime-free compared to Nairobi or Port Moresby!

UK, Ireland / Polish is an official language in the UK? [68]

Since when did Polish have the letters " æ ", " Ỳ " and " Ù "?? lol

It is not a fake, trust me.

It may be genuine, but it's full of mistakes ;)

Love / I have a crush on a Polish boy ~ [15]

Never ask a boy out on a date, wait for them to ask you. Patience is a virtue..

Dating sites are full of childless women in their 40s who probably thought like this and "couldn't find the right man" :D

Polonia / Looking for Poles in Brussels, Belgium. [19]

It may have escaped your notice but the UK has about 45 million more inhabitants than little old Belgium.

If you had actually bothered to look up that site, as I did, you would notice that those statistics are given as a percentage of the total population, or state the number of crimes per 100 000 of population.

If he can't be bothered to look up his own sources correctly, and states his "observations" as facts, then he's going to get pulled up on it.

lol, I was thinking the same when I first saw the statistics he put up there.

Read the above - then look up the site you gave us, instead of just posting up a random link which you claim will give us the "truth" about your country.

I get the last laugh this time.

UK, Ireland / Polish is an official language in the UK? [68]

It may or may not be a genuine sign, but considering all the Poles in the UK, there is NO excuse for such mistakes these days; not for a big organisation like Westminster.

I can understand why an Asian shop in a small Midlands town would put up signs which say things like "Polska Produkts" or "Polskie Chleb", but as there are probably more Poles in London than in Katowice these days, there's no excuse ;)

Food / A Polish dish with peas and eggs [18]

one of the more disgusting aspects of Polish cuisine

Indeed! My mum used to make me eat this stuff as a child. I can't even face the jelly inside pork pies for this reason.

Mind you, growing up speaking Polish as well as English, I always wondered if we should be eating "pies" anyway. i thought that was a Thai thing. haha.

Love / Want to ask a Polish girl out? [27]

Coffee is not a very good bait for a Polka.

In my experience (i.e., many years of real-life experience, not chatting breeze on PF like you do), Polki do like meeting for coffee - indeed, it's often their suggestion. Probably because when they suggest coffee, it means coffee - whereas over here, "coffee" means sex. No decent Polish woman will suggest sex for a first date.

You have to be more direct with Polish women - if you want coffee, say coffee; if you want sex, say łóżko. :D

"Let's go for a kebab" won't work, by the way, just in case you were wondering. LOL :)

Is this how the kids do it nowadays? on FB?

Not just the kids - my last ex asked me out on FB and we are a long way from being "kids", lol.

Why bother to answer someone who isn't registered, can't write well though he claims to be an Irish man, and doesn't know how to ask a girl for a date? He sounds like he's 15.

Looks like woodcouch won't be "getting wood" for a while then; except on his own, maybe. haha :)

Genealogy / Polish person's average height? [210]

I think Poland has a lot of tall guys. I am 181 cm male. Is it too short to be attractive to polish girls?

Poland's full of men around 170cm. If you're worried about your height, don't be. Or you could always stick to dating Kylie types lol :)

Work / What is a good salary in Wroclaw? (coordinator position for an IT company) [27]

If I had to move to the USA, NZ, Oz (or even Poland), I would be paid the local rate for what I do, which in several cases, would be lower than in the UK. This is why I would never move to Poland.

Why do so many people on here think that they should be paid more than a local? Unless you can genuinely offer something a local worker can't (unlikely), I just can't see how it's justified or expected.

Genealogy / Polish person's average height? [210]

Yes. My friend is 190cm and simply has no interest in short men.

yeah, but she's a giant!! lol

polish girls are hot and feminine which is very differerent from western girls who are mostly unfeminine and/or fat

Here we go again, more generalisations. Where I live, there are many Polish women, and they are average at best. None can compare to my last Polish ex.

Where I work, the Polish women are amongst the least attractive of the women in their age group. The English women are by far the hottest.

But most of the idiots who post these inane threads are only looking for a skinny woman with no a**, because they aren't big enough to deal with a big behind - hence the predictable "fat English women" insults :D

Yeah, even traditional "expat" locations like Hong Kong are increasingly looking to the local workforce for high-end jobs; many of whom can offer not only English and Cantonese, but increasingly Mandarin as well. That's somewhere I would move to tomorrow if I could, but I'd need more Cantonese than English in my job, so no chance :(

UK, Ireland / Is the UK referred to as the Islands in Polish media back home? [62]

Na wyspach (brytyjskich) means on the (British) Isles and is common

No doubt you will call me "common" for saying kartofle instead of ziemniaki as well.

I bet you think you're royalty because your surname ends in "wicz" or something. lol

tbh it's more of a media thing, really. I've never heard anyone actually say it. Just like no-one ever says "sex romp" except the papers. haha :)

What, exactly, does this have to do with the topic?

it's just another (lame) attempt to...

turn the tables on this forum's Polonophobic British posters.

;)

As for continental, think continental breakfast. The full English is sth very different and more substantial.

It's like someone mentioned elsewhere, about someone they met who claimed that England isn't in Europe. Just because the "British Isles" aren't on the mainland, it doesn't mean we're not in Europe. If that argument was applied elsewhere, then neither is Malta or Crete - utterly ridiculous of course :)

He's full of s h i t.He sent me this-

Polish WomenToday, 03:38

EM_Wave
"Member Hi, many Polish women have told me they can't stand Polish men so they prefer to have sex with foreign men. They particularly like Middle Eastern men and African men because they enjoy their schlongs deep inside them and they like it when they shoot their loads inside to impregnate them.

lol.

This sounds like something a prnographer would write, and not something the average Polish woman would say.

EM-Wave probably makes films where white women act out fantasies of being attacked and raped by "ghetto" blacks, and of course they "love it". Yeah right... just what every white woman wants: to be raped by black "gangstas". Pull the other one!

EM_Wave

The Polish women I've met say they prefer foreign men because Polish men are ugly and they have small dicks. What is your opinion on this?"

The vast majority of Polish women do NOT like black men, and some are very open about the fact that they do not like them. The opinions of Polish-American prn "stars" don't really count as the opinion of Polish women in general. It's not racist, it's a preference - just like most black women won't date whites.

And just because a few 16-25 year-old immigrant blachary have fallen for the "cool black gangsta" image presented by MTV, doesn't mean that the majority of Polish women have. In case you haven't noticed, the VAST MAJORITY of Polish women have Polish (or white) partners, and this is unlikely to change significantly any time soon.

And all the Polish women I've dated (and are open enough to discuss the subject) had NO complaints about the size of Polish men. Who does he think we are, Indians?? lol

EM_Wave why do i think you are only posting this as a wind up ?

You've only just noticed that he's trolling? ;)

Love / Polish men calling polish girl for dating englishman [80]

apart from the OP.......if he is a native speaker Im a 12 foot Dutchman with a blue arse.

You just need to look at the title - he's clearly translated "wyzwają" as "calling", but hasn't changed the sentence appropriately ;)

Love / Polish men calling polish girl for dating englishman [80]

You are correct, but the OP wasn't - he didn't apply the translation correctly.

The title should be something like "Polish men who call a Polish girl names for dating an Englishman".

He claims to be English, but he appears to have translated the title like a foreigner would.

Love / Polish men calling polish girl for dating englishman [80]

"Calling Polish girl names" is just the sort of mistake a Pole would make if their command of English is not fluent. Like "I want cup of tea please". It's a dead giveaway. There are several errors in the first post as well:

i would pop to her work in my Jeep and then she asked to come in the car but has now asked me not to attended at all.

Do you think the above was really written by an English native?

Not getting at you, just emphasising my point ;)

Love / Polish men calling polish girl for dating englishman [80]

Do you believe every English native writes perfect English? Not saying your theory is wrong, you may well be correct.

Of course not, but English natives tend to make different mistakes to foreigners: e.g., "you should of known their not going to pay up" shows the kind of mistakes an English person would make, but missing out indefinite articles is the kind of mistake a Pole would make. ;)

Anyway, this is going off-topic now, so I shall warn myself (minus the red text, lol) :D

can you please name " an old or middle aged Western European man" who leaves his wife and children once he sees long legged beauty willing to become his sex or lifetime partner ?

I hope you're not thinking of someone who posts here :D

Life / The Adult Entertainment Industry in Poland? [67]

He does have a point.

It pains me to admit it, but he does.

However, you must remember that this is the guy who said that "Polish women won't be attractive until they're mixed race" and also stated that "white women should be REQUIRED to marry black men" - as a marriage isn't legally a marriage until it's consummated, he's effectively encouraging black men to have sex with white women against their will.

He also can't wait until the world is more mixed, which effectively means he can't wait until there are fewer whites. That's as racist as saying "the world would be a much better place if there weren't any blacks", so he can't be taken seriously. Even the mods have noticed that he is trolling. Simon Mol ffs!!

I never said ALL Polish women don't like black men; I said MOST. Everyone knows that some Polish women will go with blacks. But very few do, even over here.

But who is the best judge, anyway?

Someone like me, who has associated with a wide variety of Polish people for four decades?

Or a South African prnographer with an anti-Polish/pro-Black agenda? Especially as he probably wasn't even born when I first started dating Polish women.

I have to back you up on that. You are in your la-la land!
Majority of Polish women are not interested in black men. And some are very open about the fact they do not like fooking niggers(funny hearing that form a cute blond thing)!

Exactly.

Life / Poles hard working or just born lazy. [58]

If I could earn £150 000 a year for cleaning floors or serving coffee in a foreign country, instead of working there in my current profession, then I would be straight over there.

Even if 80% went on tax and living costs, it would still leave me enough to put down a huge deposit on a house over here, after just two years of work. Sounds familiar? ;)

It's hardly surprising that Polish immigrants "work hard" and tolerate poor living conditions, if they can earn 4-5x what they earn in Poland, simply by doing minimum wage jobs over here. I've worked for over a quarter of a century, and I would not single out any particular ethnicity or nationality as being the most hard working or laziest. There are plenty of lazy Poles, and plenty of hard-working English.
