Life / Racism in Poland - the future [441]

Now this is an important point, self-defense...Self-defense exercised in a timely manner eliminates problems later; we can take the case of the schoolyard bully: best way to deal with him is a hard punch in the face as soon as he starts his mischief...Trouble makers seek easy targets.

Government wants us to think they THEY will protect us and THEY know what's best, but, of course, we know this is absurd: Government these days is run by career bureaucrats whose only interest is keeping their bloated tax-payer paid salaries...The recent British riots proved this point, as the trouble ended when the community and shopkeepers organized and put a stop to it.

News / Hollywood's War with Poland. [150]

David Duke is an intelligent and courageous man who stands up for the truth...And, BTW, he has great respect for Slavic peoples, as he got his doctorate from a university in the Ukraine.

I would advise anyone who has misapprehensions about Duke to read his website...He is a very compassionate and savvy fellow.

USA, Canada / Looking for Polish beer in the United States [39]

New Wave Cafe
2620 E Allegheny Ave
Philadelphia, PA 19134
Port Richmond

Written by some yuppie, but the place is OK:

Though they were out of my top 2 picks--pickle soup and pork shank--they still managed to dish out major goodness. My red borscht was amazing. Even in the heat its warmth enveloped me in goodness, encouraging me to drink down more of its creamy, veggie-laden goodness. My man's pierogies--fried cheese and onion, in case you were wondering--were perfectly matched by tangy sour cream, singing a melody of beautiful harmony.

For mains, the boy got the kielbasa and onions--a simple (deep fried?) link with beautifully caramelized onions, hearty bread, and spicy mustard. Totally delicious. My pork chop was battered and fried to tender perfection and accompanied with a delightfully light, creamy cucumber salad heartily accented with fresh dill and mashed potatoes...of the Polish variety. These were simply mashed spuds. No cream. No butter. Just mashed potatoes with a bit of fresh dill. Still heavenly absent the heaviness of additions and a perfect match to the heavy pork.

Large Polish beers were a mere $4 and service was delightful. As I watched the Polish families delight in their homeland fare I felt a bit out of place--but still so welcome. After all, the lovely grandma in the back homemade my food from scratch--and at very cheap prices. And she did so with, I'm guessing, love.

History / Why have Poles contributed so little to Academics? (Particularly Science) [180]

It seems Poles haven't contributed much to academia. Very few Poles have won a Nobel Prize in an academic subject. Even Poland's Jewish minority has won more Nobel Prizes than the Christian majority. What's the reason for this?

Poles have contributed much to academia...As far as the Nobel prize, a Polish mathematician won either last year or the year before.

Jews have made it a point to 'guerrilla' academia, and this is why you will find them prominent, in publicity terms, in 'affairs acameme'...Same for the the committees that award various prizes, including Nobel.

Jews are also 'prominent' in the at world, but show me a good Jewish artist, other than maybe Szyk...They produce ugly crap.

News / A homeless recidivist (artwork thief) strikes again in Poland [2]

Why not try some productive rehabilitation with this man and let him do community service and help him to get some kind of productive job?...Of course, this would make too much sense, and people would cry out that he is being rewarded for crime....Perhaps put him into AA, too, if he is an alcoholic...He committed no violent crime, did he?...I bet that the dead artist would have favored something like this.

Wall Street and financial securities thieves who launder, swindle and 'make bad judgements' on millions and billions of dollars of other peoples money are not put in jail; in fact, they are usually rewarded for their crime by getting huge 'severance payments' and then lucrative jobs with other firms so they can do it again...Notice the contradiction here?...This man publicly admitted his crime.

Poland has an element named after it in the periodic table. Tell me, how many other countries have something like that?

Of course, you refer to Polonium, discovered by Marie Skłodowska-Curie...Poland/Polish people have made major contributions in all the arts & sciences.

However, don't make that much of a name...Plutonium is also an element in the periodic table.

History / Why is Vatican traditionally on German and not on Polish side? [65]

Why is Vatican traditionally on German and not on Polish side? i mean, when it comes to strategic interests?

You would have to go back to the times of the Holy Roman Empire and start there to get some sense of history where it concerns relations of the Church and countries like Germany...Also research the Guelphs and Ghibbilines...Also, the history of England from the time of Henry VIII, when the Church came under mortal attack in England...Also, research the takeover of England by the House of Orange, Cromwell and other miscreants...Many British and German interests coincide.

In the past 100 years, many other forces have also been at work to 'bend' the Church in certain ways...Jews are always at the forefront of attacks on the Church; some under cover, some out in the open...Jews dominate Germany now, so draw your own conclusions.

In any case, the Church makes a big mistake in relation to the Orthodox Church by basically rejecting it, thus isolating Slavs in Serbia, Russia, the Ukraine etc.

I have problems with Christian Pharisees, because remember what Christ said 'When two or more of you come together to pray in My name, I am there'.

A belief in Christ, and His clear words in the Gospels, is more important than rituals created by man, even if they have the best intentions.

I'm not sure if you are aware of the nutjob known as Leo Zagami. As his name suggests, he is Italian but fled to Norway. Nonetheless, he still offers a lot of insights into the operations of the Vatican and why they favour certain powers. He has done interviews with a guy called Greg Szymański (part Polish, I presume) and you might learn a lot from those :)

IMHO, both Zagami and Szymanski are dis-info artists, dealing out a kernel of truth surrounded by exaggeration and wild accusation.

News / Monument gets erected when a clique rules in a small Polish town [29]

Well, Kaczynski is dead, so you should all be happy...It is common practice for dead politicians to have statues made of their likeness...It really doesn't mean much...In fact, now it gives you something to vandalize...What's the problem?

He was simply a very poor President who completely misunderstood what the Presidency was about.

If this be true, it still doesn't make him a 'disgrace'...If some town where his supporters live want to build a statue, why not?

Now, the original article was unclear: Are they removing a bust of Walesa to make way for one for Kaczynski?

As an artist, I will comment that when you get a bunch of artists and art teachers involved in petty politics, you have what is called 'Theatre of the Absurd':

Józef Robakowski, Professor of PWSTViT in £ódż, art historian, photographer, author of movies about art, author of videos, drawings, installations, objects, conceptual projects and initiator of many important events and artistic activities. Presents a series of photographs devoted to the astral myths, problems of celestial bodies. He deals with the analysis of the media, their use for art. Associated with the avant-garde.

I do not get this. Do you mean you do not like his art as a whole, or you were just irked by this "devoted to the astral myths, problems of celestial bodies"?

I'm not familiar with is work; I was just laughing at the wording, which is the kind of 'claptrap' you would read in quasi-critical art journals.

But, I still don't understand: Are these artists upset because the piece of ground used for the statue was supposed to be used for sculpture, or some other art works?...Or are they just hostile to Kaczynski?

I understand that the bust of Kaczynski is certainly no great work of art.

News / Global recession in 2012 and how it affects Poland [17]

Recessions are caused by high interest payments due to international banks that countries and their taxpayers get saddled with...And the devaluation of money resulting from such counterfeiting schemes...Simple as that...Wipe out all debts caused by 'derivatives', 'credit default swaps' and other counterfeit shysterism and you reduce or eliminate so-called 'sovereign debt'.

UK, Ireland / Slough & Elsewhere UK [23]

See, to me, the British Empire is probably the most corrupt in the world in terms of how they treated THEIR OWN ENGLISH PEOPLE IN ENGLAND...You know, because their 'empire' was supposedly gone, they had to allow Pakis and Hindus from the former kingdom into the motherland..And the English people, long suffering and used to being led by the nose by their politicians and ruling class, have to compete with this wave of foreigners...Britain is not that big, you know...So, as Bill Clinton said 'I feel their pain'.

It's like, on a big level, the average native Brits and Poles are just pawns on the chessboard.

UK, Ireland / Tale of a Polish Family on Isle of Man [43]

Isle of Man is not a place for charity...It is a tax haven....It is also a very insular place, meaning the native residents don't take to foreigners unless they are rich, and can make money from them.

That said, it is tragic for any child to suffer.

USA, Canada / Polish Citizen, US legal resident, but no Polish Passport... [67]

Unfortunately, my calls/emails to the Polish Consulate in Chicago have gone unanswered. Any help helps...

Go there in person...Most emails go in trash bin.

If you live too far away, call, or speak to a Polish cultural group who may help, or organization like PNA.
