Yeah it's not enough just to HAVE multi cultures, you have to allow those people to assimilate as well, so that their aspiratinos of becoming good, hard working, honest and law abiding citizens can come true... ;) Otherwise you end up with ghettos full of unemployed and outcast groups which over generations breed "nationalised" unemployed outcasts... this is more of a problem than the first wave of immigrants who are likely more curious, intimidated and desperate.

It's when you get the second and third generationers who get the chip on their shoulder but with the same rights as the rest of the citizens that the problems can start.

Ask to see your country's immigration and assimilation manifesto... it takes all the management of building a new national identity and it must be intelligently done or can **** up whole cities irreversibly.

You can't open doors and then ignore the incomers. And that starts with education of the locals, which by the sound of it on these forums, actually has a long way to go. Or we may find that Poland is just as capable of perpetrating racism as being subject to it. :)

Poland has always been a nation of emmigres... that may reverse in time, and this undoubtedly effect your darling Polonia.

I agree, it's a mess. When life gets tough, we look to people to blame. No-one wants to be dependent on others and it is the worst position to be in for EVERYBODY. There's just too many of us - and that includes you. So there's no need to be reckless with your life cause you still have something to say - and that's vital.

Europe will pull itself out of this mess. And i'm no economist but i'm sure open borders have many benefits to everyone. But the problem is we want our cheap groceries and our bourgoise lifestyle as well! And we tantalise so many around the world with this prospect... we've marketed the dream but the reality is a nightmare. We want it all and it's eating us all up.

And i've seen plenty of people lose everything, my family included. It makes you stronger - and yet more cynical. The system is flawed, our way of thinking even more. I took from my education what I wanted to see the world clearer. I am no educated fool. But I will die with knowledge so I will die smiling. :)

Just try to love, that's all you can do sometimes.

You've got me wrong and now you are playing the victim. I've been largely unemployed for the past 2 years since I graduated. As a result of this my partner left me. I have always said that the problem with our generation is that we have grown up in the shadow of the baby boomers...this generation had the best of everything and created the kind of capital risk that we are paying for whilst trying to emulate their level of consumption.

Half of them are misguided conservative nitwits who do not fit into the new world order. I hate that there is such a residue of them left in politics. Greedy bastards, but who can blame them, they will be long dead soon and the world can right itself.

I think many people contemplete suicide, because when we are angry or upset we do not think straight. Resilience is the only thing we need in these times and a lot of people in their lifetimes or possibly for generations have not experienced the hardships we are experiencing now.

To be alive is no guarantee of anything, and a lot is not even in your hands to control so please don't feel bad. And if you do feel bad about it it doesn't make you a bad person.

And many people are disillusioned with capitalism... join the bandwagon. It has only worked for a few, and now that it doesn't work for white people as well, it might actually be reconsidered...

New Zealand also has a female Prime Minister, and was the first country to give women the vote. It is a safe and prosperous nation with a well protected environment and is a good place to do business. It is peaceful and ranks highly in the list of good places to live.

So shouldn't you know more about countries like this that set a good example for the world. Or are we to be blamed for being ignorant if we aren't professors on every war ravaged European nation? Most first world countries only know that people fleed these places by the droves...

Don't the Yanks have this approach with every country...? They have had the lead role in world political affairs through representational multilateral alignment and have dominated the world's economic and political spheres for decades...

If you want a well evaluated and dignified reverence for a country, why would you approach an American for that per se?

To be fair though, It's easy to think you've still got a grip on the goings on in any country once you've spent some time there, and especially if you have had it projected like some myth by your immigrant parents through your ancestral ties.

But this doesn't make that parcel of information necessarily correct or incorrect... it's just harder to maintain a real notion for any place unless you're actually there surrounded by the people, the media, the politics, the everyday life. And it's pointless to pretend otherwise.

The "brotherhood" between Poles and Polaks is dubious at most. I know of many Poles who have family in the States which they simply do not maintain contact with... this says alot about family ties once a cultural barrier is put in place.

This proves that nationhood can not be demonstrated by where you pay taxes. Taxes are NOT a choice and given the choice, many would not pay them no matter where they lived.

This is a tricky one however because Australia is (usually) involved in some form of combat or "peace keeping" mission abroad, but rarely on our own soil has there been call to take arms to protect my country's independence. So I haven't felt the urge...

I find that frequently, these wars to protect *democracy* are being fought further and further afield with no tangible benefits to my freedom as an Australian. And so I have never felt the need to join the military.

That being said, if there was an invasion tomorrow (and I can't see this happening) it would most likely be in retaliation for something, because now with immigration, you just have to ask to be let in. But let's say for arguments sake that China decided enough was enough, and they wanted to stretch their rule, well hell yeah, I would be willing to die to defend my country (along with al my Chinese buddies). Mainly because I could never be abe to grapple with Chinese language!

I guess the nature of war has changed, and with all these multilateral forums used to exert the political will of states, it kind of makes war seem an unecessary (and costly) method of decisive sovereign action. I mean it's pretty impressive just how much cross country diplomacy is exerted on the international stage these days. Which means that for your country to dominate in this arena - you need more than military savvi. And I think a good head for business and diplomacy is the preferred weapon of choice for most states.

There are possibly more "handsome" women than men on this planet. But you guys wouldn't have it any other way ;).
There's very little you can do with the male form except to fill it out a bit and tan the outside.
I guess the best bet in Poland is to try to have daughters if you want handsome children.

But yeah, there are recognised elements that make up good looks in women and men. I think physique is an important part, as well as facial structure, eyes and hair. Nice smile, ethnic origin???

If Polish women are with bruts well maybe that's because there are just too many soft faced, conservative Polish men who'd rather be reading Mackiewicz than experience any of the godly delights of a woman's body... I call them mumma's boys.

For me there are 3 main catagories of Polish male, and these include:

the educated man versus the uneducated man
the spiritual man versus the non spiritual man
the tolerant man versus the non tolerant man

I find it better if they possess more of some and less of others...
