Love / India guy Polish girl [57]

But i wish this guy is true to what he is saying not just trying to score this blonde and then marry a mom's choice bride from india.

Typical indian/paki male behaviour.

I personally prefer Indian women to Polish women.

Study / Admitted To Warsaw University Of Technology (Politechnika Warszawska) [69]

Please also tell me about the reputation as you are locals and no more than PW than me ??

Good technical school by Eastern European standards, half-decent by U.K./U.S./European standards.

Are people friendly and nice to talk to in Warsaw?

Some are, some aren't.

will I be discriminated because i am a Pakistani ?

Discriminated - unlikely, most people in educational institutions are above that.

Still, the local thugs/skinheads/football hoolies might whoop your ass for being a Paki. Chances of that happening are much lower than they were in the 1990's though.

Right, Warsaw ( sorry for not reading it right, had a long day ).

This does in fact make it worse. For 100 euro per month it might be tough to rent a toilet cabin on Centralny Train Station these days.

I used to own a small bachelor's pad in downtown Warsaw ( near Intraco ) which I sometimes rented and the market rent on this little piece of heaven was 1200 zł/per month ( without bills ).

Like a horse, a horse will try to see what they can get away with. So will a woman.

-Train her.[quote]

[quote]Women are like horses.

But you as a man must be in control and limit her.

The home is a womans domain, you just live there.

Rotfl...

You sir must be a hit with the feminists... Or with most women for that matter.

He's using plain ol' English damn it.

And talking about something a number of my acquaintances from other parts of the world ( Germany, U.K., Belgium, France ) easily noticed when they spent a bit of time in Poland.

Well, defiance and defensiveness are also pervasive so any attempts to change their minds are fruitless. Therefore, the best reaction is ignorance.

Reached the same conclusion a few years ago.

Calling yourself the best is just the ultimate in vanity and leaves nothing to subjectivity

Agreed.

Not all Polish women are of that belief, but the ones that are...oh brother...

The problem is that they are so brainwashed into believing this that all arguments fall on deaf ears.

Contrary to Polish families, Jewish families don't encourage vanity in girls ( this may not hold true for some parts of U.S. where the Jewish blood is often very thinly spread out ).

In Poland it's in my opinion downright scary how vain and fickle some women can be and how society in general accepts that without even blinking. "Kobieta zmienna jest", etc.

Don't they know that a country can only have one true princess? ;)

Indeed. Although watching "Polish princesses" "compete for territory" can be hillarious at times.

"Many many times!" - exactly.

Don't even get me started on the whole "Polish princess" thing.

I tell a Jewish girl in U.S. that she's a princess - she immediately understands this was not a compliment.

I tell a Polish girl in Poland that - she's happy and thinks I was complimenting her, because that's what her parents raised her to be - a princess.

As a result there's a metric **** ton of women in their 30's in Poland who suddenly realise that, surprise, surprise, time doesn't stop even for a "Polish princess". Some guys actually make hunting them kind of a sport.

Seanus speaks pretty much the truth.

The amount of ladies who genuinely believe that the sun shines from their ******* is higher in Poland than it is in other places.

It generally comes down to how boys and girls are raised over there ( applies to many other Slavic countries as well ).

Love / Possibility of Marriage with a Polish lady [96]

Ok, someone has to break the kid in, I guess.

how is the possibility of Marriage with a polish lady for an Iranian like me ?

extremely low, for many reasons.

also i heard polish girls are better than other EU countries in chaste and virginity

Rotfl...

They're not. As a matter of fact I'd say they're pretty much like other Europeans, hence if she's over 15 don't count on her being a virgin.

(also there is a lots of unvirgin women

Yeah, iranian girls tend to let it loose once they leave the land of ayatollahs.

From what I read you're a borderline psychopath and a definite stalker ( internet stalking by the way just became a crime in Poland ).

You don't know the woman, never talked to her about your feelings and you go on fantasizing all day ( not to mention she lives in another part of the world ).

Seek professional psychiatric help.

Either that, or you're really hunting for an EU visa.

Love / All Polish women can't be nutters can they? [257]

As I said, I was caught off-guard by her invitation in the first place and did not analyze the situation correctly then and there.

Annoying anti-semite clown.

I just pointed out that some Polish women pull exactly the kind of **** Seanus kindly described.

I fail to comprehend how is that supposed to affect the way I think about women.

Love / All Polish women can't be nutters can they? [257]

I remember one from a few years ago that wanted to date me (and more she said). When I told her that it wasn't a good idea (she had a BF), she flew off the handle and immediately went running back to her BF, tears flooding down her face.

Had a similiar situation with a Polka.

A couple years ago when I was visiting the country a business partner introduced me to an architect who was working for him at the time. This young fellow seemed to have everything going for him - youth, ambition, smarts, a good education and a rather prestigious job ( this particular business partner of mine tends to pay good money for good work ). From what I've been told earlier he also came from what was considered "a very good family" in Poznan. Thus it wasn't really surprising that when the introductions were made the dashing young architect was accompanied by a seemingly charming, artsy and somewhat wistful Polish beauty. They really looked like a perfect, well-matched couple.

You can imagine then how surprised I was when said beauty expressed in no uncertain terms a desire to "get to know me better" once her BF and other guests were out of earshot. She made a pass at me roughly 2 minutes into the conversation.

I was pretty much stunned and actually agreed to meet with her on the following day for drinks.

During the night I thought things over and when we met I began to point out certain issues.

"I'm older" - I said. Wasn't a problem for the Polish beauty.

"This could really sour my partner's arrangement with her BF". Well, nobody would find out, she said.

"I live in another country and spend a lot of time on a different continent" Her answer - She can come live with me ( think about it, I've known this woman for about a day now ) and long-distance relationships are workable anyways.

"She has a BF and I don't like to barge in between two people" - She hesitated at that one for some time and then proceeded to tell me she's willing to dump her boyfriend on the next day if I promise to remain "committed" to her.

Holy Bar Mitzvah, Batman! That was precisely when I realised the lovely girl sitting next to me was a total and complete nutter.

Hence even though she made it VERY clear there was a happy ending waiting for me after the date I excused myself somewhat awkwardly and left.

Well, of course it turned out exactly the way You described, Seanus. With her running back to her boyfriend, tearful and all that, telling him what a backstabbing dick I was. Luckily the guy was professional enough that he finished his work on my partner's project before bailing out on us.

Love / How easy is it to pick up a girl from a club/bar in Warsaw ? [65]

Why the hate?

Not looking to "score points", just telling the guy how to achieve desirable results quickly and without much hassle.

Monkey business.

- if that's the kind you're doing, fine. I'm mainly in real estate.

A club in Warsaw?

Been a while since I went clubbing there ( not getting any younger with each passing year ), but generally speaking if You're a foreigner, know how to dress smartly and have dinero for drinks You are already halfway down the path of picking up a Polish girl.

During the banter throw in some remarks about business deals you are involved in in Poland, tell her how You are leaving in a few days or so and the night will be likely to end on a positive note.

Love / 'Battered husbands' - still a taboo subject in Poland [387]

Ok, let me tackle this.

Yup, it happens in Poland probably more often than in many Western European states or U.S. Although "battered" isn't the most accurate term to describe it.

Polish men, in general, are taught in a very young age to be extremely respectful towards women. A woman in Poland is worthy of respect just because she was born into a certain gender.

Hence if You come to Poland from U.S., for example, you will be seriously surprised with the amount of **** Polish guys put up with on a daily basis. Emotional blackmail, yelling, ordering them around - you name it. Your average Polish Kowalsky is mentally conditioned to just take that stuff.

When compared with, for example, U.S. or U.K. you'll find that loads, I mean loads of Polish guys, even ones that are comparatively well off, are firmly held by their ladies by the short curlies. With most Anglo-Saxon, Jewish or Italian men it's fairly common to see them draw the line somewhere and tell the girl to bugger off if she crosses it. Not so amongst Polish men.

Life / Do Polish People steal a lot? [330]

Poland isn't a nation of thieves.

It has a significant amount of them, for economic reasons, as well as many people who pull of dodgy scams ( be careful with real estate ).

But as a whole nation - no.

yous have to keep your doors locked, no?

Pretty much standard procedure on Main Street, U.S.A. these days as well. Don't know what that's supposed to do with anything.

To add a bit more.

Inviting serbs of all people to any sort of union and actually giving them voting power in this union means that such a unionist country will be extremely susceptible to populism, period.

Not a good idea.

Love / Why do Polish women prefer foreigners for boyfriends and husbands? [418]

First time I read sb prefering jewish women to polish ones.

There is a first time for everything, I guess.

Another manipulative sentence by you. I've already said that u, Midas, are full of grudges.

What I quoted is by no means a manipulative sentence. During World War II many Polish People helped to save the lives of Jews who were under constant peril of death because of the blood in their veins. Tens of thousands of Poles risked everything to do so. And when I write everything I do mean it, because Poland during World War II wasn't France or Belgium, if You got caught sheltering Jews in Poland the Nazis would march You outside and execute You and Your family by the walls of Your very home. A terrible risk.

Still one has to remember that there are always two sides of every coin. A visible amount of Poles were anti-semites back then and didn't exactly like their Polish-Jewish neighbors even before 1939. Please recall the writings of a certain Mr Roman Dmowski. The attitude of such people was VERY similiar to what Paulina displayed:

"Are You Polish? Or are You Jewish? You can't be both! Make up Your mind"

Or even:

"You can never be Polish because You have Jewish blood! Change Your religion, get a passport, marry into a Polish family, no matter, You will always be a Jew!"

When the Nazis came some of these Polish anti-semites acted upon their beliefs, sometimes selling whole Jewish families to Nazis for nothing more than a pat on the head.

You may deny, but these are the facts.

How come presenting the facts is manipulation?

Paulina:
I don't think a piece of paper is enough :) I think he's probably a Jew who was born in Poland. He's more Jewish than Polish, that's for sure

Paulina, you are probably still a child ( many of your arguments are childish in the extreme ) and many of the things you say make no sense.

What I quoted is one of them. It basically isn't your cup of coffee to tell me whether I'm more Polish or more Jewish. Like it or not, I have two passports.

What You are doing is much akin to what some Polish people did during World War II. "Hey Mr Nazi! My neighbour isn't really a Pole! He's a Polish citizen, but he's a Jew! Please take him away so my aunt can move into his place!"

Other than that I pointed out, and surprise, I'm not the only one to say so, that there is a defensive mechanism pretty much unique to Poles. Simply put, few Brits accused of being thieves would retort by claiming their French neighbors steal as well.

1. You are an utterly delusional nutter. There are healthier people than You in psychiatric institutions. One thread = eccentricity. Xxxx threads = nuttery.

2. I don't get it with you serbs. First you are pissed off because Poland joined EU and NATO and didn't give a flying fcuk that You got bombed for your genocides and war crimes. Now You want a union?

Take a hike, really.

3. That aside, Serbia isn't to be trusted. The Serbs have proven in the much recent past that they are unable to live peacefully with other nations or ethinicities.

Should Poland form any sort of union with them 5 years down the road they'll be at Poland's throat claiming Poles are occupying the ancient Serbian city of Gdansk.

Love / Why do Polish women prefer foreigners for boyfriends and husbands? [418]

Unfortunately what the Polish women do isn't really that uncommon for women from the Eastern Block. Ukraine, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary - they all more or less have the same issue. Albania could be different, since a guy's expected to knife his own sister over there if she starts seeing a foreigner.
