Life / Help me find this Polish band and song.... [117]

I tried to find it as well but could not either. We need more text to be able to track it down... at least one sentence or few more words in Polish coz if it is an old song so perhaps it wont have the modern Polish words in it...

Life / SOME OBSERVATIONS ABOUT POLAND AND POLISH SOCIETY [297]

terri also dealt in the same tone and told me of dire consequences but suddenly vanished with all of her womanhood. where she evoparated i have no idea. same did the magdalena who enjoyed the discussion with poprorn in hand but could not contribute any thing.

They didnt disappear, they just decided the best way to deal with this kind of person as u is to ignore him.

even bigger noses

I guess Indian men prefer women with big noses.

Such a shame, I can cook anything

Yeah thats true but we dont have many foreigners in Poland so i guess that's the reason. I dont know why when abroad Poles still dont really like to try new things though.

see the innocent beauty of filmstar kaif. whole world is crazy for the lady from india

Never heard of her. Is it some actress from Bollywood?

Most Poles have never tried anything other than Polish food before they stepped out of Poland

Yeah, i agree on that. People in Poland tend to eat only Polish food and when they are abroad nothing changes much.

Life / SOME OBSERVATIONS ABOUT POLAND AND POLISH SOCIETY [297]

I've been living in Poland most of my life, which is quite long. I know Polish people. I don't recall a single reaction like 'nah, this is some foreign sh1t, I am not eating it'. Quite to the contrary. And this approach is traditional, that's why Polish kitchen is so rich.

I dont agree - I am Polish myself and what pisses me off sometimes that Poles would rather go every day to Polish restaurant with Polish food rather than trying something new. As it was said already they are sticking to what they know and they are looking at new things with caution. Not every Pole is like that, of course but lots and lots if not majority.

Life / Languages understandable by Poles? [38]

Not quite as well as we think we can

Well, yes but i have Czech friend and we communicate using Czech and Polish with some English words when the word doesnt exist in one of languages or has different meaning (like eg czerwiec or szukac).

Life / Languages understandable by Poles? [38]

Are you sure? Because I only know a little Polish and I can understand spoken Russian a bit.

Maybe you only think that you can understand Russian coz there are lots of words which sound similar and in fact they have totally different meaning. And yes, i am sure Poles cant talk with Russians using their own languages (i am native Polish speaker).

We can communicate quite easly with Czechs and Slovaks (similarly as Italians with Spanish speakers) but there are also words which sounds the same or almost the same and have different meanings which is confusing and sometimes err embarassing :D

So Russians and Poles can pretty much understand eachother when both speaking their own language

Lithuanians

Ukrainians

No, we cant.

Czechs

Yes, we can.

History / The Two Saddest Nations on Earth... Poles and Jews [243]

I dont know where all you people got experiences with Jews - i certainly dont know anyone who would be Jew (i m talking about BEING a Jew, not about the situation when someone thinks a person is Jew coz has big nose etc). Of course I've seen them on the streets etc but have never spoke to any. I guess most Poles have the same experience as me (none) - there were lots of Jews in Poland but not any more.

Love / Ten things to remember when you have a Polish girlfriend [79]

How did you determine that they are virgins?

i was exaggerating as u could see but often it happens that people who were hurt or rejected by someone are bad mounthing the whole group from where that person came from. It applies as much to men as to women really.

I think this shows how you think about (Polish) women in general

It is a well known fact that men who cant get laid are bad mouthing all women whom they desire but whom they cant have from whatever reason. So we know southern and MiguelColombia are virgins

Food / BREAD IN POLAND IS DETERIORATING [90]

In the UK in Sainsburys they have something similar to kajzerki, way better than the other buns like ciabattas and other.
Also, here you can buy polish bread but it tastes so different than the one which u can buy in Poland. Pre-packed bread is just a crime imho.
