Which is better then, according to your experience? I had Acer, Asus, Fujitsu-Siemens and used Toshiba for a while. Acer Aspire was very good, Asus at that time was even better, Siemens - worst crap ever, and Toshiba was good quality but I didn't like using it. I have Dell now and it seems the best of those.

What do you mean if it's safe? Of course it's safe. Krakow isn't situated at the foot of a volcano mountain;). And it is far safer than e.g. streets in the UK - bearing in mind the recent riots...

Choose the city centre, where you have the vicinity of the main train station and all the benefits - close to main market sq., close to pubs & restaurants, close to commute to work etc. For a small studio apartment you would pay about 1600 zł with utilities. But there are also very nice ones for a bit bigger price if you wish.


Yes, and when you buy the ticket (there is something like a cheaper monthly ticket too, I think) you ask for a ticket to Krakow Business Park (Zabierzow is a different, further stop in the town of Zabierzow while KBP is between Krakow and Zabierzow, it can be quite confusing).

I'll answer shortly, but sufficiently:

Public transport (MPK): buses (lines: 238 or 248)
Trains (PKP): "Zabierzow fast train" goes about 14 minutes, KBP has its own train stop.
Most efficient is the train.

Everything is quite crowded in peak hours, but going there by car is more expensive and takes more time. There is also not enough parking spaces.

I recommend the trains.

Hi.
Yes, admin fees are monthly fees. It is quite simple and doesn't vary from other countries. They are usually to cover expenses sucha as: garbage, electricity in common areas (staircase etc.), lift maintainance, security/monitoring, sometimes an advance for water (recalculated yearly) and a fee for administration to take care of that all. 300 zloty here is ok, provided that it includes the above. Admin fees can be easily summed up with the rent and you can pay both to the landlord.

To your total costs you obviously have to add bills too (Internet, electricity, maybe gas, etc.)
So the cost is 1400 + some utilities.

There is a general opinion about people from Poznan that they need to bargain and count every penny. It's just joking, but this has a bit of truth. From what I noticed when living in Poznan for a long time, their attitude is very good: Poznaniacy simply don't like to overpay.

First check if you have PESEL or not. It happens that it is being issued but you wouldn't be informed about it. Then you can go to city hall office and register your address (zameldowanie). After you do that, you can apply for passport. It would cost you most probably 140 PLN and waiting period is about 3 - 4 weeks. Also, before you will need special photos (biometric). Passports are issued by Voivode office. In Krakow it is quite easy.

It would be something between 35 and 50 zł (best is to take accommodation with breakfast but otherwise it is 10-15 PLN, lunch or dinner: 20-30 PLN, tea/coffee 5 PLN). Everything depends where you go... If it's a group then you could negotiate some discount for group and e.g. comming for breakfast every day, etc...

If there is green light for the pedestrian at the same time - then of course the pedestrian has the right to go.

;) If not, and there's green arrow light and still a pedestrian runs through the crossing on red light - then you are allowed to drive over him/her. It is not frowned upon, it is even appreciated. If the police sees you doing that, you get +10 skill points to your driving license stats and a special sticker to put on your car.

Hi. State your problem clearly first. You changed your name by deed poll (no capitals necessary) . You are asking if you need an official confirmation to this? If so, then the answer is yes. Legal and official authorities may not recognise a deed poll as a valid document, therefore an official declaration should be made. This is not a "real" decument in these respects, although it may be accepted sometimes - it just depends where (be more specific).

That's the best way - write first Polish version then English and publish the ad. If you've seen purely foreign language ads there, they mus've slipped he mods. You can report it to them too, if you want.

1. You can turn right at red light but only if there is a green arrow light on. You have to stop first and then move (that I'm not 100% sure).

2. A lot depends on how much you exceeded the limit.
3. Monday to Friday, always.
4. I don't think they'd mind. If they know somethin about it (keeping in mind the age of your interlocutor) they would probably start their stories.

5. 1386 PLN and will grow to 1408 PLN probably this year.
